  1. And it seems bussing in thousands of kids last season from a previously disengaged large part of the community has had a real boost on season ticket sales....... 🫣
  2. 8.7k season tickets is NOT good sales figures it's pathetic.
  3. 'We have nine thousand who will buy' Except when you whack prices up again and put off another 3/400.
  4. But they already released him once and probably wouldn't go near it again if he wasn't free. Stunning recruitment.
  5. Good luck to the lad but the Dolan scenario was a once in a generation type thing so any chance of a repeat is slim to non.
  6. That's been the policy for a decade.
  7. So they are persistently interested in a player with fitness concerns because they think they'll fill another place in the squad as cheap as possible. Pay as you play must sound ever so appealing.
  8. I think most might say we've over achieved and reality will bite at some point it only takes one bad start to a season and it'll be hard to recover. However to be fair to the squads and past 3 gaffers we always seem well prepared to get stuck in from the off before it all catches up with us again. No reason that should be any different this time although a word of caution good pre season results might lead to a bit of dawdling in recruitment.
  9. It's not how it starts it's how it looks a few months in and just like previous seasons mid way once injuries, fatigue etc begins to bite we'll struggle again. It's inevitable with such a low budget and amount of lightweights in the squad so we need a great run of form and many points again before that kicks in.
  10. Paying the bills. When was the last time Vs sent big money that we know about ?
  11. They price theirs well, sell 16k in league 1 and also still offer a flexi ticket once the full ST sales have maxed out. Here meanwhile they hike most prices, sell a measly 8k despite finishing just outside the top 6 in the Championship then hike the prices again once sales have maxed out. Idiots doesn't begin to describe it.
  12. I'm thinking Saudi maybe. Probably not relevant but the agency he is with doesn't have one other UK based player on their books as far as i can see.
  13. Too early on a Saturday for that kind of comedy.
  14. Big season for Cantwell because he'll need a new club this time next year so i expect a good season from him and hopefully he can stay fit.
  15. Bolton have introduced some sort of flexi ticket despite selling probably double what we have. Seen a few of their fans saying it's a bit pointless because ST's in certain sections are cheap enough to buy then not bother if you miss half the games. Used to be like that here.
  16. We need to stop pinning our hopes on Leonard and root out another striker from somewhere.
  17. Funny how some couldn't 'wait and see' where he went before basically writing off his chances of doing anything other than another Nyambe heading downwards. Now its pivoted to 'he'll flop and drop in no time just wait and see' 🤣
  18. Stand in the corner, face the wall and remain silent for 48hrs.
  19. Just the latest narrative created to suit across social media to cover the disappointment of yet another asset bailing for nowt. People forget the original contract talks with Broughton actually stalled because he had no agent at the time. All that was true and he wanted to sort a new one obviously before contract talks. No doubt it's a straight toss up between the new ones coming in and saying this kid has been playing for peanuts so we want a good rise and security or as is highly likely things just got shelved and never picked up again until it was too late.
  20. Yeah it could be a backdoor into Burnley although more likely next summer when they've dropped again and are selling players left right and centre to pay their hedge fund investors.
  21. Probably been mentioned but Dolan and BBD now share the same agent so you're probably right.
  22. You should start serving mayo with your word salads. You consistently implied he hadn't signed for anyone because there was nothing for him and the fact you are getting both barrels this morning kind of suggests how your opinion was viewed. Anyway you weren't alone.
  23. Show some class for once and admit you were wrong.
  24. The only bitterness anyone should have is over the lack of compensation but at the same time everyone with an ounce of sense knows where the blame really lies on that.
  25. I don't know what tax implications are over there but perhaps that might help and he'll be on more than he was on here now that's for sure. Think a less demanding environment over there might suit him as well and by that i mean the standard is high but here whenever things weren't going well he always looked like he had the weight of the world on his shoulders. Over there a free transfer from the English second tier should ensure a bit less pressure on him to start with at least. Awful for us compo wise but no more than the clowns who run Ewood deserve, not that they'll git a stuff.
