Yes sadly i think Championship level on a consistent basis has always been beyond him and he just had a little purple patch. He was never the most mobile anyway imo but he was a grafter and his engine was ok but that seems to have seized up. I like him but lads like him shouldn't be difficult to replace at this level for not much money and that is how you improve a squad by trading the JRC's and keep your best players. I look fwd to the million quid we'll get for him going on something a bit fresher......

Well we never know big Val might get a tune out of JRC if he can keep himself fit we might see shades of the JDT player again and that would be useful.

I don't even know what to say to this other than think again because it's fantasy stuff. Players are only worth what someone will pay and you might get a million for the pair but i'd suggest they'd need to follow Markandays path and be loaned lower league, hopefully do well and someone would chuck a few hundred grand down to keep them. If they were put up for sale tomorrow nobody would be bidding.

No one is going to pay money for either so both will be here till their contracts run out. As usual at this club better ones get let go or sold whilst the others are allowed to stay on the gravy train when it should be the other way around. The likes of those two are the first ones who should be traded for younger fresher cheap potential or academy grads whilst the best players should be retained way before their contracts begin to tick down. If no serious bid comes in they say ok here's the same or less terms to stay here but by this time the agent has convinced his player there'll be a deal to be had somewhere on a free with a signing on fee and maybe a loyalty bonuses owed from Rovers.
