  1. They are quick enough to spend on the ground when it comes to flashing their logo around or building new tv gantries so they can't see the empty riverside in India.
  2. It's guaranteed to happen if we drop a league.
  3. Pears has been exactly what he is, a capable enough stand in for a better keeper. We need to remember if it was up to the penny pinching powers that be he wouldn't be here now and we'd have had a raw kid in making the mistakes they all do when learning the trade.
  4. I think we'll now see this club flogging off all decent young talent to Prem and other clubs U21's. We'll never never get near to another Adam Wharton now they've discovered another revenue stream at that level.
  5. We are a league 1 club now in everything but name and it's only a matter of time.
  6. Reality is we had a 11/12k hardcore that has now become 8k. The club seem to have meekly accepted this as have a lot of that hardcore, the future is very grim indeed and those who scoff at it i assume will be happy to pay a lot more next season to cover it ?
  7. Pitch looked a bit heavy and was cutting up which actually looked like it suited us. No signs of anything other than normal 'work' done on it though.
  8. Nothing against the lad he seems a good fellow but whoever gave Gueye a contract needs sacking. It's as simple as that, eh Rudy.
  9. It's just a new form of excuse that doesn't hold water at all. It might if the crowd were on the players back or protesting all the time but they haven't been. Also this team can play away in front of various sized away crowds and win. If we look at the lost home games played the flaws come in very similar fashion, same players making same errors and same subs and late tactics contributing to upsetting the rythmn and conceding late. Add in missed chances by guys who should put them away and it all adds up to being absolutely nothing to do with the crowd, or lack of it.
  10. They won't ever get that figure and i don't think there's ever been an asking price quoted. Better ask Glen Mullen or someone whose had dialogue with some of them but i believe that figure has been banded about. Problem is Venkys London Limited is a 150 million subsiduary on the VH group balance sheet. Sell the club for what it's worth, 20 million or so and what happens to the balance sheet ?
  11. When was the last time they wrote some off ? Besides that is money spent and gone not an outstanding debt that may be ongoing.
  12. Read the post i said some things it makes sense for others it doesn't just like anything else. If you want a digital life were your entire being revolves around a fucking phone i feel sorry for you what is difficult about pulling a card out of your pocket and bleeping it. Or taking a note out and paying for something at a kiosk ? Fuck all unless your a zombie.
  13. Jacks family should pay to keep that area clean it's the least they could do after landing his club with this lot.
  14. I think it's already been said offers would have to be around that. For all we know there's a 100 million overdraft facility in India that would need settling should they sell the club. No way are the writing that off and paying it off themselves, if it exists of course.
  15. Speaking directly to the owners usually means they've placated someone with another pack of lies.
  16. Ditto it's barmy and whilst it's good for some things other things are a ball ache and completely counter productive and fraught with potential problems.
  17. But someone needs to be coming in with 100 million which will never happen in 3 eternities never mind the next few years.
  18. He'll just be over there telling them he can handle it and if they get a CEO a cheap one with no remit other than to oversee all the heads of heads will be fine. And serve as a handy distraction for him and Rudy who will be perceived to have done great work bringing in a year or two's running costs and reducing the wage bill in real terms. Results, performances and league position will be secondary to all that, especially when he tells them whose wages we can lose in Jan and who he is expecting offers for in summer.
  19. I'd say because Coyle finally agreed to a smaller pay off when earlier he maybe felt entitled to the full whack.
  20. If we are still in a bad way results wise and league wise when this comes around it'll be put on ice till April. Can see it coming.
  21. The supreme leader is out of town and pretending it isn't happening. Win on Saturday and it'll all go away and there'll be 15k on next match......
  22. From Waggots laid back water treading approach to being run as if by administrators is my take on it. The new finance director, the shadowman with complete day to day power now and his puppet are i'd say running it culturally a lot different than normal. And what a job they are doing, relegation fight, a raft of signings who'll never be worth more than the fees paid and the lowest number of people in the ground on match days since the late 80's. I wonder if Suhail is filling the owners in on these facts ?
  23. If just another 20 million of that player trading excess had been used to hire a good CEO and manager and invest regularly across the team like they did with Armstrong for example we'd be in a way better place now. Maybe the Prem or more likely with parachute money to make us competitive. I know hindsight is a wonderful thing but how many plans, journey's, resets, projects have there been in the last decade only for them to be pulled to bits again within a season or two ? Resulting in pay offs, wasted wages and reduced income swallowing up every spare penny and more. Their cack handed ignorant ambitionless way of running the club with those who've seeked for it to serve their own pockets etc has led to where we are now on and off the park. People out there need to take in the full picture before they jump to their defence and find excuses or blame fans. There has NEVER been a real plan other than wing it season to season even when a few well meaning managers or whatever have tried to install and work to one. it's ALL on the owners and their minions and its finally entered the terminal phase now whether they'll acknowledge that or not. Anybody who gets pacified again by them suddenly installing a CEO - to oversee bugger all - is a fool to be blunt.
  24. At last a well respected Rovers die hard blue and white spectacle historian telling it like it really is. That transfer 'excess' covers about 5 years at least running costs it's one big money go round on the books of the VH group and some in the middle are making money that's why it continues. A massive borrowing facility in India secured on land and serviced by the club turnover/platey sales and the VH group, with middleman/men creaming a few million a year off, whilst it serves against a bit of tax on the companies portfolio makes more sense when you think about it.
  25. Yes and what happened in summer and what has followed since has finally provided the tipping point for thousands more after 15 years of this lot. As i said we kicked off a Championship season with only 11 thousand home fans after finishing high up the table last season. We got 11k in league 1 there should have been at least 3k more in the home sections so the red flags were there in August.
