v Hull City (h) - 31/1/26

They just aren't suitable for where we are but sad facts one is here because his record is terrible so he's a cheap puppet and part of the overall downgrading plan. Whilst the other will be off first chance he gets he just hasn't played well enough here to attract serious interest. -

Too much smoke around this Alebiosu for there not to be a bonfire by the end of the window. He's a goner for sure they are just trying to get the best price due to the several alleged clubs after him. -

That's the flip side of these big city clubs when they hit a bit of form. No sign of a following or the 'likely lads' when they are shit or just bobbling along. Bit of form and ambition and suddenly thousands turn up and up pops the mob handed gimps with their safety in numbers routine. Pathetic. -

Not long ago Hull were getting 10k and probably not even that in the ground and their followings here are similar to ours there, 500/1500 tops. Today they are bringing 3k. Things can turnaround but we've been in this doom loop 15 years now and it shows no signs of shifting. What i'd give to have just one season away from all this nonsense. -

The people running rovers will go to any lengths of bullshitting i'm utterly amazed anyone wouldn't consider the notion of red herring names it's the oldest trick in the football book. Even before you factor in this lot here. As for this window there is clearly no real budget so they are desperately trying to use the shirt buttons they have. -

Wouldn't be surprised if they enquired about Simms they know they've no chance and know it would find its way out. So it looks like they are trying something bold. Also a handy distraction whilst they get Ryan out the door.... 'We tried to get Simms with the money' ... -

Shades of the last relegation season when we needed defenders and all they delivered was a striker on loan that just happened to be on the books of the agent wife of the useless low grade DoF they appointed that season as the fall guy. Red flags are flying. -

Nothing against Ismael personally and i think he does his best and has genuinely suffered on the injury front but shit happens. However i do not believe he or his style of play and team selection is in any way suitable for what we need to stay up. Like JDT it's contributing to our downfall because he knows no other way hence using all the ready made excuses weekly. Always remains a chance we'll just click and have a little winning run but it's going to be very tight this season and the prospect of starting with him in league 1 is horrendous. Maybe that's all part of plan B though, i wouldn't trust this Rovers board as far as i could throw it. -
A lot of large projects got binned after Rovers got relegated which to me is no coincidence. I'd wager a lot of the money they committed to propping up the mess they'd made was earmarked for those projects with the club and Prem brand being the chief promotional tool. That's why they turned up here and it could've worked to everybody's advantage had they not been in bed with who they were. So when people say it hasn't cost them anything they are wide of the mark. Their massive expansion plans were well and truly ruined along with our status as a club.

They'll bottle it and settle out of court then stick the damages on next years ticket prices after agreeing to pay off the settlement monthly for the next 5 years. -

The Simms things reeks of some of the non starter names they desperately threw about in January's when Mowbray was here. The lad at Boro on 35k a week was one example, think we ended up spending half a mill on Markandy and signed Giles - a wing back - on loan. There is NEVER a plan here. -
Corporate clowns running things just want cheap generic sale or return crap they can get the highest mark up on. Clownshow clowns like here can't even get that right. End of the day non of the above types understand football or terrace culture or local historic culture. Like politicians they are totally detached and members of their own back slapping clubs linked by agents instead of swiss forums. All they look at is % mark ups, ease of control and what's in it for themselves the plebs are just seen as assets to be fleeced.

Looking for kickbacks no doubt. As i said when Waggot was being ousted i'd not be surprised if he was the least of the problems and so it's coming to pass. And that isn't an endorsement but we are now in the complete control of a set of 3 people who should be nowhere near running a football club never mind one of this stature. Just like the policy of unexperience on the pitch when these lot make their cock ups or whatever else they do the club/fans/team pay the price. They still get paid regardless and the void between here and India is their buffer zone.

Hardmen of Ewood Park
Tomphil2 replied to Tim Southampton Rover's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Neil was a tough player without doubt but i wouldn't say hardman he was just physically very solid. Shit himself when Carragher and his boys were going to square up away from the pitch, couldn't see Andy Todd ducking a threat on or off the pitch. Real tough guys are a different breed than the flat track bullies who rely on size or image. Speedie was another you wouldn't want to mess with despite his stature, Hendry was a tough as they come on the pitch but no hard guy, Hughes as well. Was never a fan of Hanley but not many got change out of him physically on the park and he stuck me as the sort who could handle himself off it. That fat gimp Barnes wouldn't have put any of that lot into the back of the net with the ball. -

He didn't drop down a division to 'find a club' he wasn't released on a free he was sold. Posh prepared a bid after hearing Gestede was hawking him around and he was a willing seller, at less than they were prepared to go to. Lets stick to the facts on this although i do agree the fitness side of it must have been the Rovers excuse to steer him to the door. We also know Val wants workhorses who can hack his system. -

Valérien Ismaël: Former Head Coach
Tomphil2 replied to DE.'s topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
They certainly wouldn't be baulking at paying tariffs on sending money over here if they had that sort of wealth. In fact i'd say even that lot could've got us into the Prem by now if they had that much to chuck around. Also there is no actual evidence of vast land ownership though i'd presume seeing as the VH group invested a lot in the Lavasa cock up they probably do own some of that land. -
