  1. In the event money was requested for signings and allowed by the court are they going to effectively pay 50% more on a player because of the bond/guarantee ? I'd 110% say no they won't so it's a non starter and we hold out hope that they send full funds to cover running costs and any instalment income goes towards signings. Again i'm 90% certain that's not happening either but how else can we sign anybody ?
  2. It's the anti fraud and money laundering unit they don't want money going anywhere but to pay for essential running costs of the English business i would have thought that was obvious by now.
  3. They rarely ever seem to send extra money for transfer that usually has to be generated by the club itself and of course there has been plenty recently but.... Couldn't see the authorities over there ever signing it off anyway 'we have x amount billed for tax, x amount for utility bills, x amount for insurance, oh and we need to give 500k to Peterbro for a deposit on a player...' Doesn't really fit why they are restricting it and asking for receipts in the fist place.
  4. Owners say we'll send half due to bond so you'll have to find the other half.... someone phones Wrexham... πŸ€”
  5. I presume they just took over the remainder of his existing wages but didn't want to commit until he'd proven himself.
  6. Yep for a player in Travs circumstances it would be a great move and although i'd be loathed to lose him now under normal times 3 mill would be a good fee to re-invest a big lump of. Here though it will just evaporate overnight paying wages whilst they slot John Buckley into Travis position and pour money down the drain bringing in a skinny 10/15k a week Prem loan as back up. Most sane fans wouldn't like that but the agents would.
  7. So it's a CAO they need to run a specific department not a CEO to run the whole show.
  8. The request made to India for funding several months ago.
  9. Well we are desperate for 3.9 mill and hey presto Nixon is trying to sell Travis to Wrexham. He's doing the clubs dirty work like always and getting the ball rolling for them and getting Travs name out there.
  10. So as we suspected a CEO in name only to stick front of house, tick a box, gag, then serve up as a sacrifice when the next major cock up arrives.
  11. Indirectly it's all to do with Rovers i.e the funding set up from India to the UK for the (sole) purpose of financing the football club. The VH group is under investigation for specific issues that went array connected to putting money into the UK company that owns the club. Whilst the club itself isn't under investigation its ultimate parent company and financial provider is therefore everything it inter connected one way or another. Lets not go all Steve Waggot and pretend it isn't and personally i'm pretty convinced if the Indian authorities could crawl all over Rovers books and every transaction between VLL and BRFC they would. Not saying they'd find anything other than a few more cock ups but i'm not totally convinced either and i doubt they are but they've obviously nothing to go to date that we know about.
  12. The mere fact they've ended up under investigation by the govt department they have kind of points to the Indian govt not sharing your view. Regardless of if anything else turns up or not they obviously had enough suspicion to kick off in the first place.
  13. Yes totally agree from the limited experience iv'e had with it and also everything we've seen with the club. Yes there is the caste system that plays a big part over there and i'm sure that's a factor especially when we've had an Indian chap defacto running the club. In fact i'd say its been a big part of our problems not daring to speak up to the leaders even in desperate times but face saving by them over there no i reckon it's quite the opposite. More stubbornness and arrogance than anything, we've got the $ clout so we'll do what we want.
  14. Considering the number of defunct companies they have it seems failure is quite regular and the ONLY thing they are good at is the core business and a few of its offshoots.
  15. Who are they losing face to apart from themselves ? I don't buy that nonsense for a second it makes no sense as owning the club and the constant negative headlines is more embarrassing than a quick cull and a bit of minimal coverage then it's gone for good. They continued to own it because after the initial plans backfired their finance people found a niche for it in the company portfolio and big Barry wanted to retain his toy. So there it has sat and as a minimal bonus on the money its cost there is a little bit comes back by way of advertising and constant positive '20 million a year' spin by commentators clearly prompted to drop that line in as much as they can. If at any point in the last decade funding this club had seriously impacted their core business or personal wealth they'd have dropped it like a hot stone, face or no face.
  16. Correct but the money will disappear into paying bills and another good players is gone. We lose players now because they aren't offering favourable terms early enough that much has been clear for a while. We were used to having players poached every now again its always happened but the past few years we are now active sellers, not trader, sellers.
  17. The 'years options' are proving to be both a blessing and a curse in Rovers case. Yes we have the security of another year but it means they leave contract renewals too late because of that security and by then it's too late because agents are already at work alerting their players to what kind of wages and signing on fees might be out there.
  18. Telling them they don't need to send any money hes got it all in hand.
  19. As far as we know although it's by his own words, so take with a pinch of salt, he was instrumental in getting Eustace in and getting Mcfadz etc and that kept us up. However he must've played his part in not backing TM, JDT and also not moving Mowbray on earlier plus there was all the Broughton stuff and 11th hour signing failures so he's still a twat. Thing is though next time we are in the mire who has the hand on the tiller without out any assistance ?
  20. Problems with that began just after takeover on instruction by the agents who were employed to run the show looking for personal gain bagging Mrs D the wage bill must be cut. I'd say they were responsible for the asset stripping when they set their intentions in motion of selling everybody and bringing in cheaper replacement whilst garnering their %. Idiots in Pune signed all this off instead of listening to Allardyce, Williams etc, just when they should have been using their wealth and takeover to build the club up again they all began pulling it apart. So the asset stripping tag has stuck and they hold ultimate responsibility for that even if now it doesn't really fit their agenda.
  21. He'll find it very interesting at Boro or Celtic when he hits one of his bad runs that's for sure and if i was Gestede i'd be advising him football wise the grass mostly isn't greener when you leave Ewood. Funnily enough Villa fans tried to lynch him and Boro fans weren't enthralled either.
  22. We'll find out in the next few years for sure and whilst it's an unpopular opinion and in no way an endorsement of his overall ability or tenure it might turn out it was only Waggots interventions that kept us in this league recently.
  23. Who backs up the back up players who are now starters 🀯
  24. Venkys ownership has killed just about everything else in one way or another so season ticket sales just go hand in hand with that. Nobody trusts them from one week to the next even most of their 'defend the status quo' mob if they are being honest.
