Yep and to be honest the three previous to this one were all decent for a spell even though they all ended messy. This one was straight out of the Coyle, Crappleton playbook and doomed to fail from the off on cv alone. I suppose we were due a bad one though so whoever has the ear this time hopefully is someone who goes over the head of Gestede and co.

Valérien Ismaël: Former Head Coach

Nixon is really taking the opportunity to gaslight tonight, take no notice of the blimp. -
That really would suggest prep for the lower leagues.

That was when the teams came out. Proof yet again that when you peel the lid back they are no different to us or anyone else around here.

Massive most passionate fanbase in England at Sunderland tonight - top tier. Just thought i'd drop this in to lighten things up and provide some ammo for when they are mouthing off.

The sellotape used as a sticking plaster has fallen off but the pus remains at the centre of the wound.

Non starter though if his agent knew Wrexham were interested. -

Adkins name is to the management merry go round at Rovers like Toni is to the transfer thread. Always there. -

Some saying they heard whispers Friday which no doubt Ismael did as well and expected him gone if they didn't beat Hull. -

He allegedly still took training today. -

The people responsible for the forced summer reset and recruitment of some of these players and Ismael himself ought to be right behind him through the door as well. Otherwise rinse and repeat.- 5311 replies

Tends to happen here though these days with regularity despite whose in the technical area but yes he took it to extremes. Whoever comes in here has the number 1 remit of getting mins into as many as possible to increase vale. -

I'm sure Carvalhal has turned it down twice before so not really a great omen that. -

Until Gestede tells him you must pick x,y,z and you must make 4 subs after 65 mins ! -
The January 2026 Transfer Window

There was a 3 month one i think that was official but rumours for a while of a 12 month option as well. So hopefully he's decided to walk early with a few months pay. Works both ways because if he'd overachieved slightly he'd be off somewhere warmer now with minimal compen demanded. -
The January 2026 Transfer Window

Agreed but i get the impression they were maybe not that serious anyway and just thought they could grab someone cheap for the sake of it. Probably expected Weds to grab the first offer on the table but even them in their situation weren't having the piss taken by this bunch of clowns. -

Nobody seemed to want Cadamateri so lets not pretend it's a big deal if he doesn't come. Offers nothing more than what we have imo. Only thing worse than not signing anyone is signing more of the same you don't really need in an act of desperation to make it look like you are doing something.- 5428 replies

Maybe old Tone will stay in the shadows until summer then come in for the big league 1 reset. -

The Ismael appointment has to be down to Gestede surely it took an inside connection for them to risk a guy like that and foist 3.5 year contract to him. Old boys network without doubt. -

No such thing as a home banker under this head coach, non. Lots of huff and puff as usual, score just before half time, happy days. More huff and puff, usual subs, concede .. 1 - 1 11,289 -

First game there for 20 years it was certainly a feisty affair. Would end up about 8 aside these days. -

He was a bit of a thug on the pitch and master of the dark arts but if we are talking all round hard bastards you wouldn't want to play against or cross away from football i'd have to put Fashanu right up there. Him and Drunken Duncan. -

I don't know what more evidence is needed on this it's from his own mouth. Also absolutely nails why we never went anywhere once he'd made us a solid Champ team again. No real desire nor ambition other than water treading thinking those budgets we had at the time would last forever.
