  1. When you keep losing them you must first set out to not lose them. Ask Mr Eustace or Mr Warnock or Allardyce. A draw in late October at home to Southampton doesn't rubber stamp relegation it gains one point in the fight against it.
  2. It wouldn't be a disaster to be honest.
  3. They nearly dropped last season and have recruited smartly this summer on a low budget to prevent a repeat. They have though a manager who knows what he's doing and people running the club who also care beyond their paychecks. They also seem to manage fine without a Cat1 academy AND did impressive early bird adult ST's a few years ago which took their home turnouts up several thousand. Everything we should be doing but with added bonus of billionaire owners and academy. Everything we aren't.
  4. He's just out of his depth hes already admitted hes never been in this situation before and he clearly has nothing to draw on in terms of how to handle it. Kean was a dirty rat this fella is just another bog standard head coach floundering his way along but if he keeps coming out with that type of nonsense hes entered Kean territory.
  5. He really is entering the realms of Kean saying we didn't lose any quality. Dumbest thing iv'e heard in a long time from a Rovers boss and the competition is mighty stiff.
  6. This time when we are in a scrap with relegation rivals with huge followings it would make sense to limit their allocation at Ewood. That won't happen though in a month of Sundays, any gaffer or sporting director worth his salt would be saying to their bosses we need to do this.
  7. But they won't cut ST prices to boost the most important element of a football club, crowds. Suhail was crying over the leccy bill going up and they've unsubscribed Sky sports from the official club bar. But ...there you go Steve you get yourself off home and we'll pay you for 18 months to keep your trap shut !
  8. Not unless he's agreed to two weeks wages to walk.
  9. Somehow we ended up on the precipice of that a couple of times in the last 3 years then look whats happened. Not backed then pulled to bits and that for younger or happy clapper viewers is why nobody has any hope left. There's nothing natural or cyclical about it it's largely manufactured due to the people running the club and those owning it. Anybody who doesn't at least acknowledge that regardless of where they stand in the grand scheme of things really needs to take a step back and look again.
  10. Contrary to popular belief you don't need to be a billionaire to own and run a steady championship club. A lot of owners in this league are in the few hundred millions but they run their clubs properly either hands on or via good staff. The total these lot have spaffed here mostly straight into other pockets could sustain a club like Rovers perfectly comfortably without it all disappearing. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the cutbacks are due to the main companies finance people taking the reigns off the 4 loons due to pressure from their lenders. Unfortunately they don't have the power to sell though.
  11. Yeah fair point they could very well now start playing with more freedom and less pressure because its been taken out of their hands. Fans will probably get back on board as well.
  12. Well at least we won't finish bottom but the real issue for Rovers is there are no Doncasters or Rotherhams or Plymouths around now. Clubs that came up are big and strong due to crowds and backing and 2 of them were always Championship sized. Something that SHOULD have resonated in the corridors of power at Ewood before they decided to take an axe to everything. It won't have though not for a nano second.
  13. So that's another 400k he'll be getting for doing nothing then. This club is beyond repair.
  14. He did ok with the previous squad back end of last season after a awful start so it's fair to say he might have done ok with that team this season. However it's obvious with better squads and backing at WBA and Watford he delivered nothing but average at best returns. So just like Coyle and one or two others he needs a good squad just to be average. So we can only deduce that's all they want at this club but being the cretins they are they can't provide him a good squad. So what in gods name do they expect, this is another experiment dreamt up by businessmen, agents and financial people NOT football operators. Doomed to failure from the start unless something just clicks as if by magic.
  15. Even though they were all on the scrapheap bar one Lambert had a promotion on his cv, so did Mowbray, JDT had 2 Swedish league titles, i think even Berg had a bit of success somewhere. Even Bowyer went and got a crisis club promoted but what has this fella done anywhere apart from a dozen clubs in a dozen years or something amazing like that ? By the way i don't count getting to the play offs with Barnsley with someone else's squad in covid season as a success it was obviously a bit of a fluke. He's here because he's a yes man with the right connections and will be working cheaper than a lot of others hence the stupid 3 year contract. We are being played by a new little clique of self serving clowns again.
  16. But it's often used as a get out of jail card now by some in regards to the current crowds.
  17. Or giving it to the bookie. Great role model he is.
  18. I know of quite a few older long term rovers fans who now spend most of their time watching Chorley and only visit Ewood occasionally. It used to be the other way around.
  19. So much for this non existent unwritten 'don't tread on other local clubs toes' made up nonsense then. This might be a little bit of tit for tat from the LT towards Ewood.
  20. 'The Project Stadium' or as voted by facebookers and the LT posters the 'Trust the Process Stadium' Or in reality 'Suhail FC Stadium'.
  21. I was going to say this might be a Coyle beating Newcastle moment but then i remembered we don't have a Charlie Mulgrew !
  22. Allegedly the finance director Vs stuck on the board not long ago.
  23. They aren't arsed about crowds or displeasure. If you ask me this latest project is the brainchild - or brainfart - of the finance director/Suhail and Rudy. Ismael is their man and all they want from him is a quick turnaround with a few of their cheapo signings so they can move them on and get commission. Sell one quickly for 2/3 mill plus add ons, move out a couple more of the higher earners left in Jan and they've covered their dwindling crowds lost revenue for another year. And i'm certain they are still stupid enough to think non of this will end in relegation the current results are just a blip.
  24. It's the price you pay for scooping up a load of players from less intense leagues. I'd also say the half time team talk and use of subs never seems to help.
  25. Fair play to TGH though he plays with a bit of passion.
