To be honest i expect that lot to expose us in the same way Derby did whoever turns out for us. Just don't think it's wise throwing him in a game like this you need lads of the quality of Van Hecke to do that. I'd prefer to ease him in against weaker opposition first and as you say he's 22 and was at Chorley, that doesn't bode very well in my humble opinion. -
January Transfer Needs

That's fair enough when you already have a good solid first 11 plus back up in key positions and are expecting midtable mediocrity. It's no good at all when you've got rid of every good player and replaced with inexperienced foreigners and others who've never played in the Championship. In fact it's a self inflicted for relegation policy and something that nearly happened a couple of years ago with a better squad. These people need to walk the plank they really do. -

Throwing a kid in to a game like this when hes only had a brief loan at Chorley really isn't a smart thing to do. There are still enough experienced pros in the squad to shuffle the pack and come up with something otherwise what's the point of having them. -

Ha ha fair play to them it's a local derby and it's banter the way it should be, we know whose made the biggest club in Lancashire the laughing stock of our little neighbours. They only ever turn up to see Rovers anyway and it'll sweet to stick the chickens up their arses by 10pm if by some miracle the depleted team wins. -

So he gets a knock and is out and they take that opportunity to see how they cope without him and use a player or two signed to replace him. Then think yeah fine we'll be ok so leave him out to save money as long as they can. Also doubt Ismael would be pleased about that but he's here to do as he's told. -

Yeah he's a human being he ain't doing it purpose this is his career and life and its never really got going so insults are needless. For balance though i think most of it is frustration because anyone with any sense could've predicted this and to not strengthen the centre defence pool after selling Hyam is pathetic. Absolute schoolboy stuff and i lost count of the clowns who said it's fine we have Carter and Wharton coming back.... This is what we are up against at this club now though and all they were likely bothered about is the pennies again. Replacing two good defenders in Batth and Hyam who commanded 10k plus per week with a lad who they thought they'd be selling next summer for good money and a cheap wage local lad. Clowns. -

I feel for Carter but i think this level of football and its demands are beyond what his body can cope with. Yet another of our academy products whose body breaks down constantly and i'll say it again, academy football from such a young age ruins as many kids as it makes. I also don't think modern training methods help were high level stats have to be hit all the time often over actual ability and what they can bring on match day. They get too many miles on the clock by the time they are 25, when they should be peaking they are creaking. -

Cantwell is with Player1st agency i think but last summer another agent became involved and was hawking him around. This came to light when he DM'd a fan by mistake. So it's not clear who did the Rovers deal but i think if you throw everything into the mix including our end of Suhail the penny grabber and Rudy the clown it's fair to assume it isn't very straightforwards. -

It's simple just come clean on his injury and there won't be as many wild theories. -

Well yeah it all adds to his appeal and value. Might just have a knock or niggle that won't clear up properly but he doesn't want to go under the knife before January. Strange how no real details have emerged about his alleged injury seeing as normally information comes out pretty quickly. -

Aye it's quite likely something contractual as i couldn't see him ducking out so long, unless he has a concrete move lined up but no football or proper training will just hider him personally in the long run. -

I said a while ago it'll be a Dolan style move by some flash agent to some warmer weather somewhere for him. Would not be surprised if it's on loan as well to get his wages off the books but something is definitely off with this. Val himself has alluded to it,,one day he's here and ok the next not. -

Got to love that PKE online forum and their Rovers obsession. On seeing the 5k allocation is likely to sell out they've switched from never sell out and won't even shift 3800 to 'i thought it was our cup final not theirs'. Also a few having an argument who is the bigger club us or Burnley. Funny how Blackpool never seem to get a mention on their forums despite this massive so called rivalry. They always have plenty to say about Rovers and do their fair share of Bumley arse kissing. Yes lads and lasses it's YOUR cup final. -
Yes from every interview iv'e heard from Souness down the years he always mentions John Williams and the fact they fell out all the time but actually had the best working relationship Graeme had experienced. As you say the way it should be because they were both pushing from more for each other all the time for the betterment of the team and club. Non of this' look these are the rules don't rock the boat, keep us steady, we'll keep the lights on and your job is safe whatever happens on the pitch' stuff we have now. On the fitness stuff Souness i think swam the channel quite recently in aid of charity for a young lass with a serious autoimmune system illness, Unreal guy he is, nobody is perfect but he's certainly a one off character and i particularly liked the bit where he still called Dunn out and one or two others about the issues they had back then despite them sitting in the room. My kind of bloke, will face people down, fall out but move on and hold no grudges because it's just part of the job/life. He'll give out the compliments as well but in moderation not the arse kissing fluffing try not to offend way things are now done. As he said though in modern football the tail now wags the dog.

Been honest in an interview but it's unlikely to go down well with the club. Then again they don't give a toss anyway i suppose. -

Well there's no much left for him to slag off now so things can only improve from here, right ? Not sure who the F he thinks he is or what kind of place he was coming to, he obviously got lost on the way to Chelsea and ended up at Blackburn. -
Souness has the best cosmetic surgeons in the business but no doubt his exercise and eating regime is almost military like. Proper bloke.

Always seems to be 5.5 or 5.7 classed as a sell out over there so i suppose it depends if they leave that little corner empty. I always thought 5700 was every seat in that end but a nobber collegue claims the full end is 5900 but we've never had that. -

I've called him out for years there was always something off about someone hiding in the shadows pretending to do nothing. Then you have Mowbray calling him just the owners conduit and as you know to a lot of fans if TM said the earth was flat they wouldn't argue. Now he's out into the bright lights so HE is accountable for everything now, no one else and no more skulking in the shadows. I agree it needs to be constant gentle pressure not this pick it up every time we start losing then put it down again when we are winning. Also not all out war that can be spun back onto the fans as reasons the team is struggling just gentle sustained 'We know who you are, we are watching and holding you personally accountable for everything at Blackburn Rovers from now on' If you don't like it then there's the door and to be fair if you turn it round and start getting things right and pushing the club AND owners to progress the club then you'll get the credit. Sitting there being unaccountable taking your money, calling the shots with the sole aim of staying in position treading water, no the games up. -

With a full block and the two small blocks at either end i'd wager about 1500 still to go yet for a full 5.5k. Anyway it'll be a 4/4.5k following at least which is respectable enough and similar to what they've brought here a time or two despite their usual gobbing off. Fact still remains their entire home capacity is only around 15k and they rarely sell all that. And when they do, well guess who the visitors are ! -

Looks like there is still a full block at the other end now put on sale. That end actually holds about 5900 so there's no chance it's being full but knowing our lot they won't take anymore if they have to pay for the lot regardless of if they all sell. -

A heads up on this one for those still thinking of going it's unlikely there'll be pay on the day with Knobbers having virtually sold out. Even though there's probably still plenty left for the away end. -

And now finally he's in complete control of everything with no opposition. That was obviously never his intention though he's just being the ever faithful servant to his masters...... -

Venkys India is just one part of the conglomerate under the VH group wing and i believe the one run (probably in name only) by big Barry. I firmly believe that the club sits in a corner of that bit of the empire and serves some kind of creating accounting purpose. Not why it was bought but why it's allowed to remain and they are fine as long as their turnover is good and losses are kept on or below the 20 million region. They still get a lot of worldwide advertising and able to play with the club when they feel like it. Less hassle than selling it, losing it off the books and balance sheet ( it owes them about 150 mill) and of course allowing others to sift through the books. Also no doubt factor in their embarrassment should someone step in and suddenly make a success of it. All this imo is coupled to the fact those who are involved in running it and advising them on it are doing very very nicely themselves out of it and will go to any reasonable lengths to NOT encourage them to get rid of it. Just do the minimum, spend what you can comfortably afford, leave it to them and one day they'll have a team full of assets to sell again and somehow we'll get promoted when the gods finally smile on us.
