  1. He's on loan so given the nature of this deal i'd say his handlers plan is get him here, get him fit, showcase his talents whilst costing Rovers not much then get him as good a club/deal as possible next summer. Agents vehicle again.
  2. Comes to something when a journo feels he has to do that. This club is relentlessly toxic.
  3. We are replacing the club captain with a guy with one foot whose other foot won't be ready to play until weeks after surgery which no doubt we are paying for. Non of that matters though in the BRFC administration office because at least we don't have to pay him unless he plays. What could go wrong....
  4. That would certainly underpin the managed decline a bit longer.
  5. That's how i see it as there's no way 1.5 million rejected turns into 1.2 million accepted in a matter of days otherwise. One thing is almost certain you'll never be paying the full 3 million god only knows what add ons they've agreed to their just to drum up the figure.
  6. Ha, Derby journo half an hour ago saying fee of 1.2 million agreed before add on's, 20 mins later Jackson pops up with 'fee could rise to 3 miilion with add on'e'. Never be in any doubt which hymn sheet he sings from. If you seek the truth in this start at the Derby end...
  7. Somewhere i have saved an article from the takeover time from an Indian business website who published an article on it and it stated they were using a bank loan for the purchase. I can't remember which bank it said it was but i know it wasn't the usual State Bank of India. It's always been my view that however it was purchased they got that money back pretty quickly through player sales. For balance though that article quotes only one bit of the company - Venkys India Ltd - which itself comes under the main head company of VH Group.
  8. And if he plays and just goes through the motions trying to avoid injury or he gets himself sent off then he's a liability. There's only one way to end this and we all know what it is and if not ten tell him you are going nowhere till summer so play properly and earn your wages or get suspended and fined. Then you'll be frozen out till the seasons end and only do your chances of a good contract somewhere else major harm. All party's need to stop effing about now including Derby. My own thoughts on this are perhaps those upstairs dragging it out till the windows end then conceding to Derby's offer at the last min therefore nobody else will come in. Derby might well be banking on that or gong along with it.
  9. Head coaches being open and honest is good but we have to remember it's only up to a point. In no way are they ever going to throw themselves under the bus nor their bosses, unless they feel it's time to get sacked and get paid up ! Literally hanging onto every word they say as gospel is for the fairies a pinch of salt is always needed.
  10. I've defended Pears in that past but there is definitely something not wired up right with him if the rumours are true and i don't doubt they are.
  11. The only reason we've had good seasons recently bar one and the only reason we actually stayed up then was down to the good starts and getting as many points on the table as early as possible. So yes this one feels different and what concerns me is the conceding of goals early in games, an issue that never seems to go away no matter who is coaching them.
  12. Think of getting rid of 6-8 grand a week and replacing with a grand a week....🫣
  13. If we are destined to fight a relegation this season, sorry transition this season then we need a capable back up keeper not a rookie whose already in one game thrown away a goal. Beyond stupid to gamble on otherwise and at the moment that back up is Pears, only an idiot would get rid of him just to allow a kid to be backup.
  14. They'll be flipping him to Burnley for a few million once they are back in the Championship again.
  15. Ian Poveda the lad they sign on loan from Leeds for 12 months for 20 grand a week then fail to insert any clause relating to what happens if he gets injured. He does, so he has to go back to Leeds for treatment as per contract but Rovers still have to pay 20k a week for a year ! Incompetence doesn't even begin to cover it and that was under Venus and Mowbrays watch. No wonder we never went anywhere under them i dread to think what money was spaffed on loans and wages for next to nothing in return.
  16. It's running costs only but in any case when have they sent money for transfers ? They don't, whenever there's been modest spending it always comes when outgoing sales money is dropping in the account.
  17. Priceless defenders of the realm as usual... 'Unsold tickets have to go on the team bus so they can be given back and sold on the day' er... there are no sales on the day ! 'Remaining tickets have to be give back to the home club so they can sell them to their fans' ...somehow for this fixture at that club i don't think there'll be any need for that unless i'm missing something. By the way given the nudges to all digital tickets non of it makes any sense at all.
  18. Seems it was the same last time away at Hull. Such a tinpot way to operate in 2025.
  19. Duru's mam is from Phili and he is eligible to play for the US so perhaps it's something that was always on the cards. No doubt the new regime was only too happy to oblige him in finding something out there.
  20. Absolutely off their heads this lot.
  21. That was never ever the intention it was just chucked out there when Mowbray started to feel the heat. Then it became the Barnsley model when the training ground stuff leaked out because they run their academy and training complex all in one apparently. All just whitewashing to cover that the owners weren't making money available for transfers and at some point all those at the club knew the sales conveyor belt was about to begin again sooner or later. Perhaps those were the models TM and/or Waggot wanted but it was never going to happen as the model under Suhail and friends was never going to be more than player development/survival. Keep everyone in wages and commissions and keep the owners happy with the cost cutting.
  22. They'd be better just allocating a permanent lounge for leaving do's !
  23. How many staff events does the club shop host ?
  24. It'll just be followed eventually by oh well league 1 mid table is about our level anyway, look at Barnsley and Doncaster. If the owners didn't fund us we'll be Bury or Morcambe. Lets be grateful we have a team and we still play at Ewood and now we have a Tesco on the car park for cheap pre match snacks !
  25. Already had that from someone who joined in Aug 25 and had about 8 followers. 'Not enough people go in there so they can't justify it it's only Skysports what's the big deal' And it went on and on....
