  1. Wait until Rudy and Suhail have a word.....
  2. He needs absolutely beasting on the training ground, misplaced passes can be forgiven but casualness can't. If him, Gudjonsson and Kargbo come good it'll shape our season but as it is we are paying the price of too many cheap imports replacing good solid experienced championship players. Not like it wasn't predicted or anything !
  3. Rovers now remind me so much of Coventry City....when they were on the slide years ago. Bogey team at the best of times and we rarely come out of international breaks without the handbrake still on. Cov 3 Rovers 0 But we live in hope.
  4. It was odd considering he'd just scored a few at International level but lets be honest here we should have invested in a proper centre forward. It's fools errand again all this development bollocks because how much combined has Gueye, this lad and one or two others cost and combined their wages ? Probably the same or more than the initial fees on Szmodics or Armstrong or Dack for example. The best way to actually develop other players is having quality in the side who can carry it and provide a platform for others to develop under less pressure. A Rhodes, a Graham, a Sammy means the team keeps picking up points even if it's floundering in other areas. They don't seem to want that though they'd rather have 4 cheapies and keep rotating hoping something clicks and someone becomes worth more money. Which proven players with a bit of pedigree and investment do anyway !
  5. That's how i saw it and i was expecting the finger to the lips or the cupped ear. He definitely had a F You look on his face. Think the problem may be he was a bit of a cult hero where he came from and is a proud international player used to a bit of worship from the stands. They really should be very thoroughly briefed before they come to places like this that the only way to get fans on your side is hard graft and commitment to the team. They should also all be told to turn off replies on social media. The Championship and especially Blackburn Rovers is no place for fragile ego's.
  6. Yes if he continues to play the way he has he'll be getting interest by next summer.
  7. He's having a mare so far but must have something about scoring goals at International level for a minnow team. We need to be careful here and remember George Hirst once he found his feet at Ipswich. So far though this lad looks worse than Telavic.
  8. Hard fought well earned and very important point there and another game where we perhaps should have found another goal. Kargbo took the goal well and much improved effort but still looks like there is a bit of wrong attitude about him. Cantwell immense there'll certainly be interest in Jan if he can keep it up, played like a captain today. Deserved a point and hopefully they come up with a decent system in he break before our annual Coventry loss, still wasn't impressed with the tactics again today really but effort not in question.
  9. It's the same stuff as under Bowyer and similar to a lot of Mowbray style. Every now and then they'll press from the off and get a good win, other times some smart countering and an unexpected away win but in the main week in week out it's tepid bland bread and butter stuff. Designed to carry certain players and get plenty touches and so called development into them, in other words get the stats up, possession sitting off and try to contain the opposition football. Shite in other words and certainly not applied in other to entertain supporters or show ambition, putting value into players comes first. Thing is most of these head coaches now have done the same courses and are grounded in the same principles and under the same instructions from above.
  10. A squad man who hasn't cost any wages yet, the payroll dept will love that. I'm sure his agent will have sent his invoice in though.
  11. If Eustace doesn't start getting a few wins together before then it could be a very strange atmosphere. Nobody can gloat at the min.
  12. He has no affinity to Rovers and should have zero interest, certainly not enough to constantly chirp up in defence of the owners and put himself in the firing line. The only motivation is to stay on that train and i think what they call it these days is gaslighting. Never responds to the comments on his agency etc.
  13. The fact he jumped on that so quickly to try and spin the narrative shows some of the same snouts are still in the trough. Protecting their own interests.
  14. The timing of it is rather bad but no surprise. Why not in summer and market it as a one of 150 year celebration offer, limit it to 500 in each of the lower tier areas first come first served. Create a bit of supply/demand trickery in the hope they are snapped up quickly. Most who buy full ST's would still buy them i doubt it would've impacted that too much and we'd probably be about a thousand people better off per game. As it is they'll be lucky to shift a 100 then they'll scrap it next season and say pointless. Only club in England that expects to increase ticket sales for a relegation battle.
  15. Stoke isn't too far away so i assume they'll leave any decision and panic until about 10 AM tomorrow. Anyway in his latest cost cutting exercise Pasha hired a wet suit and a bar and sent a member of the catering staff crawling up the drain with the sharp pole to poke away at any potential blockage up there. Lanes for Drains wanted £600 but hes done it for 50 quid.
  16. Hopefully there is a modest mutual agreement amount signed into his contract otherwise he'll not be going anywhere even if he tries to get himself sacked.
  17. It could also contain a 'you won't get sacked if we are relegated in season one' and 'bonus for instant promotion from league 1' clause and bonus ...
  18. I reckon the attempt to switch to an academy heavy model was a desperate move because of the money issues otherwise they'd have plodded on with TM or similar. When that proved trickier than they thought with all the hassle with JDT and Broughton which will have ended up costing more anyway some bright spark (or shadow) then presented the sell everybody we can model. Reduce wages, replace with cheaper, pacify the agent involvement with a wad of commission then pray we stay up and grow these so called assets for a season or two. Then repeat. He just needed to get the right people in place first and get rid of all the opposition then install a cheap yes man with Championship experience and no relegation on his cv.
  19. I'm sure they'll give more the bottom tier holds 5k.
  20. Yes they are all aligned apparently but what to we don't now. He isn't actively trying to lose games and neither are the other two but he obviously is another one who hasn't got a clue how to turn games round or get his team on the front foot more than once every 5 games. However some of that imo is down to priorities and the main one here is getting players games and increasing value through Championship mins and presumably flexibility to systems and positions. Not once has anyone, apart from Eustace i'd argue, tried to build a well oiled square pegs in square holes functional unit to try and wins points however they come as number 1 priority. Nobody, including Mowbray. It's always about swapping, changing, rotating, out of position, pass from the back, develop youth etc etc. Yes modern demands call for some of that at a lot of clubs but here it's a joke it takes priority over everything.
  21. And maybe heavily weighted to an expected pay off at some point. Who drew it up and signed it off i'd like to know, are we back in Shaw/Berg territory here ? Did it go over Waggots head and straight to the desk of the other fella and Gestede....
  22. I wouldn't be complaining if he was replaced by something a bit more inspiring but at the same time if he was actually sacked and walked away with a two year pay off i'd be saying something really stinks again here.
  23. It had a bad defence for sure but that squad contained Danny Graham, Charlie Mulgrew, Craig Conway and a few others all of who are a level above anything now. Doubt Mowbray or even Eustace would do anything with this lot.
  24. I was wondering when that work was going to begin as they did predict many years ago that if they became a Prem club ever the Turd would need to be twice as big...
  25. Par for the course with some it's all about opinion and it's more about investing in a proper centre forward than him personally he's just a good example.
