  1. Hes not rocked the boat for seven and a half years he won't start now.
  2. So reading that North west business magazine article it sounds like the new model on the horizon is a COO working with Head of Commercial operations to increase increase income. Presumably via corporate stuff, sponsorship, commercial sales etc. So what about the football ? Who runs that the novice Sporting Director ? Haven't they actually twigged yet that it all revolves around the stuff on the pitch, get that right and everything else will follow.
  3. I mean who would care if some firm offered a few hundred grand for the women's team ? I doubt anybody would bat an eyelid in fact knowing the finances most fans would say good at least it leaves the club a few extra quid in the pot. So this 'fans would be angry' rubbish doesn't cut it at all it is imo yet another excuse for the ownership who have rebuffed even the mere suggestion of outside investment at every turn. Also happy to sit back and see big local company stand sponsorship withdraw without speaking to them and also happy to have no shirt sponsorship for a season. This blame the fans for everything narrative is now becoming a bit tedious seeing as they've never taken a blind bit of notice for 15 years in fact actively sticking their fingers up to us at times.
  4. Under SwagHail AND Broughton they couldn't get twp incoming signings involving good money over the line. Benefit of doubt says they made cock ups although a lot would say there was more to it than that. However it still points to how amateur and odd it can still be behind the scenes at Rovers and now there is no real DoF nor experienced administrator in a CEO. To go from that to the shadow boss and his tea boy is a recipe for disaster imo regardless of feelings towards Waggot. They got away it seems with the training ground loopholes but what next if they are flailing around looking for short term money ? It's those kind of cock ups that can become very expensive and lead to points penalties that's why clubs have to pay people like Waggot in the first place.
  5. Of course it could be an issue if he doesn't know what he's doing, that's the whole point he isn't an experienced football administrator. I was referring to if something goes wrong at this end due to poor or incorrect administration the football authorities will then become involved. That's the danger of having novices running the show.
  6. I very much doubt the likes of Derby are offering more per week to a player like Batth, give or take a grand or two. Think the key to this will be having an option of a further year to get him to stay, at least he knows he's likely to be first choice here when fit.
  7. Until we find out hes already been running it from his laptop via Pasha for a few years. There's a lot gone on in the last few years when before that nothing went on for years so something changed a while back and i've often wondered why, beyond just the court case obviously.
  8. Because some clown will make some monumental cock up at some point then try and cover it up. It's absolutely amazing we didn't end up in trouble when they clearly had a 3rd party running the club in plain sight. They'll not get away with it again and they've had Suhail hiding in the shadows running things but obviously he couldn't have a proper title for years due to whatever. That kind of thing won't go unnoticed nor will the investigations in India, which so far hasn't involved the club, but how long before someone over here wants to investigate BRFC paperwork if some administrative cock up draws attention to the club.
  9. Of course i do but that doesn't alter my point..... that being they'll always install someone here from over there.
  10. Cousin Vinny, Shebby, Suhail.... who would they send next if he is out the building ? Whoever it is it'll be someone who knows nothing about football or Blackburn.
  11. I'm fearing operation dumb down in the latest chapter of managed decline is about to hit another gear. If they are going to shrink the club to its own income levels or thereabouts it's going to get very painful indeed and we'll only get rid of puppets once the deed is done.
  12. Nothing will change and unless they get someone in with a sound knowledge of dealing with league business and legislation plus all aspects of the inner workings of a club then how long before we fall foul of the authorities ? Not long i'd say, no surprise if points deductions are on the horizon within 12 months time.
  13. In two minds on this. On side we know his flaws, his past, his clear inability and reluctance to manage upwards and his obvious slippery character traits. On the other side he is the nearest thing to a genuine football administrator they've ever employed and has overseen a period of stability on the pitch at least. I think it's the guy above him who has and is the real issue here and to replace Waggot with Gestede will no doubt trigger chaos. End of the day though all they have done is brought forwards his retirement a bit and i expect it's another desperate cost cutting measure if he's off straight away.
  14. Yep dumb enough to say the savings from the women's team will go straight into the mens transfer pot. Idiots beyond belief.
  15. How much has the club actually ever cost them personally ? It's ALL on the company balance sheet underpinned by huge turnover it's probably not made one iota of difference to their own personal wealth. Nor has it ever impacted the VH groups ability to trade or be financed they'd have dropped it like a stone if any of that was an issue. They took it on and have kept it on to play around with because they can afford to and not panic about whether it's successful or not so all this benevolent/generous benefactor stuff is horse piss. They ruined this club not long after they walked through the door and they have hamstrung it ever since.
  16. Wouldn't be shocked to see a Tom Cairney style sale appearing overnight in desperate need of a few million to pay a bill. Brittain would fit that kind of mould, couple of million up top and some add ons.
  17. When is an impediment not an impediment ? When is no impediment actually an impediment ? For answers contact Mr S Waggot, Ewood Park, Blackburn.
  18. The bulk of it will have although no doubt further instalments are due. Didn't the accounts get signed off because there was enough guaranteed income for about 12 months ? It also said large owner support would be required to keep trading beyond that ! There's goin to have to be a player or two sold pretty soon i'd wager.
  19. The Brereton deal was certainly an out of the blue one but the fact he saw out his contract and left for nothing wouldn't have gone down well with whoever might have stumped up that money. I'd have expected high profile sackings for that one unless it's the stuff of persil non bio. Rhodes i know it was touted big Barry stumped up but they paid for him 2 mill a year so that leads me to think it was parachute money. Gallagher i reckon was Mowbray's present for promotion but we'll never know as they were providing bigger budgets overall back then. Pre pandemic though their core business was flying so i assume profit/tax write off money in India was flowing more freely than it does now. That's obviously before any investigations took root.
  20. Yes the way they set it up to be run with the 3rd party very much suggests it was always part of the business empire that would provide mass exposure but run and pay for itself. It was always going to be sunk somewhere into the corporation accounts and imo it was but the pay for itself bit then became a loss leader instead, where it sat ever since until now. So many times we've heard Madame wanted to cut the wage bill so soon after they bought it goes against all this 'we'll invest' talk from the time. Also 'we'll lease' players etc and in truth they've NEVER ever really invested in players aside from arguably Jordan Rhodes after Best was injured. The whole spend v return in their time for transfer fees probably balances out and the only time there is money for players is when some previous sale money appears in the overall budget set. All this points to the only way they run and fund the club being from head company turnover and incoming transfer money and they'll never stray off that. At any point any one or all of them could chuck in a few million personal money from the hundreds of millions they are no doubt worth but as far as we see they never have. Which says loud and clear the club is still just a business/accounting tool and that's why there is little interest to take it anywhere, it serves that purpose plodding along under Suhail and they themselves don't need any money from it so don't care.
  21. When was the last time we enabled a gaffer to have a full pre season with 90% of his squad ? Probably the days when we didn't sign anybody.
  22. After the JDT farce season they managed to counter a mass drop off with a £30 discount. This time they've stopped it from being out right disaster with earlier sales and a cheaper change of stand option. Lets not mess about they are doing these things out of desperation nothing else, the pair of clowns are just covering their backsides but at some point it will catch up with them. How many others would lose a thousand ST's after finishing 7th ? The lack of trust in those running Ewood is killing the club slowly but surely.
  23. I wouldn't trust ANY govt to hold bonds or guarantees of tens of millions regardless of what it's for.
  24. Apart from being on the shirts and plastered around the stadium. So we presume that VHPL is owned soley by the Rao's ? Which would fit into the they call all the shots and can never be questioned by anyone here or in India narrative.
  25. Absolute managed decline due in large part to the imbeciles they pay to run the club who do not have and never will have the experience or gumption to take it in any other direction but shrinkage.
