  1. Very true. And there's me waiting for the '20 million a season line to change to can't put 20 million a season in anymore due to being under investigation by the Indian govt ! Wonder why the commentators could always slip one in but no mention of the other....
  2. The amount of money Venkys have chucked at the running costs has continually deflected them from being singled out in recent times by media etc although it's still generally acknowledged in football they are shite owners. What really puzzles me is when we do regularly make the headlines for some latest nonsense why don't the media and the authorities take a closer look. Ask the real questions of just why this continues and what are they doing it for especially with all the recent stuff thats come to light. There are a few rotten ownerships around but on a consistent level for 15v years now these lot take some beating it's like they've just put the club and fanbase in an induced coma and are determined to keep it there whatever the cost. We are an absolute shell.
  3. Only that i saw someone from Bristol on X a few weeks ago saying Dolan had been shown around the training ground. Seems like half the teams fans in the Championship are claiming he's signing for them but it could just be agent tittle tattle trying to drum up interest. Just think the fact that Bristol City is a bit left field and was never mentioned anywhere else it might actually have legs, if they pay well they'll be in with a shout certainly.
  4. I presume they have to present a few years business plans and cash projections for the club to the bank for the huge overdraft facility, maybe even to the parent company finance people as well. I think there'd have to be a plan already in place should the worst happen.
  5. It's a message board it's what happens and you're in the top few on here when it comes to that. What i don't do is run around calling everything i don't agree with a conspiracy theory and if you actually took the advice you're giving back to me we wouldn't be here. Nothing wrong with having a different opinion but don't present it like a twat a lot on here read between the lines it goes with the turf but at the end of the day it's all assumption unless there is proof. What is real is Bradly Dack mentioned the bad vibes and negative changes and Brittain has agreed with a like. You seem to be having trouble with that but it isn't a conspiracy is it it's there for all to see and he has done if for a reason so maybe it's your new found hatred of Callum that's getting in the way.
  6. I posed my answers as questions not facts so learn the difference i wasn't saying i know anything and neither do you that's the point. The fact every post someone makes that you disagree with needs explaining to you is rather odd i mean asking why current players aren't piling in with the likes, come on ffs work it our for yourself. Also piping up that everything is conspiracy when it's presented as nothing more than opinion, assumption or rhetorical questions is a bit of a cop out isn't it, if you can't debate it just disagree and move on there's a thumbs down for that. Better still hit the ignore button you replied to my post, i replied to you and now you're getting arsey again getting into a tit for tat for the sake of it again your like fucking toothache. You don't agree fine but don't twist things and if you think everything is conspiracy hit the ignore button if it bothers you that much i'm not ending up with a ban because of you.
  7. Because the project has changed again. How many have left since he was saying all that including backroom, why wasn't he offered a contract then, how do we know other promises to him haven't been met ? And seriously how many players still here without a foot out of the door like him are going to publicly agree with Dack and feel the wrath of the club ? I think it's certain many will agree with him.
  8. No you've got one ex player registering his opinion that things aren't good behind the scenes and another current player who hasn't even left yet effectively agreeing with him.
  9. Very very telling. Previously happy players brought in or brought through are now looking for any excuse to bail they are going to hollow the club out beyond repair this time.
  10. Someone was saying they are going to start charging matchday staff for parking as well although no idea if it's true.
  11. I think this is what a lot of people are missing when they say about staying in the Championship and it all being about selling that standard of player. If the financial issues and reduction are to continue then paying for a championship set up to produce Championship/Prem standard players and hinging everything on getting big money for them is going out the window. Cost reduction is king now and probably would be easier to balance in league 1 despite a big income drop the drop in wages, running costs of a reduced academy etc all on one site, excuse to sell the training ground finally, reduced staff, close more of the ground the list of downgrading is endless they could get away with. The pressure on producing a certain standard of player is also reduced meaning a team almost full of academy grads, frees and loans. Also the produce/polish to sell might not bring as big a fees but wouldn't need to in that league and turnover of producing and moving them in quantity could increase. Not saying they are intent on relegation but these things will do doubt have been discussed and to them it might not be the disaster it would be to fans.
  12. And presumably they could write these off by so much each year but don't ? Having one company owing the parent 130 million must somewhere somehow have some tax advantages against the profit the parent makes ?
  13. Without millions in yearly regular outside money or multi million quid sales every 6 months our budget was already league 1. As would many others in this league be without similar so we were already dancing on thin ice and the aim here always needs to be build up and aim to punch above our budget, it nearly always has been. Now though its become shrink to size.
  14. The Transition he speaks of is 100% planned and falls in line with the cost cutting that has been gradually going on for years it hasn't just sprung onto them because someone won't sign a contract. That is why he is here, it's why Gestede has appeared from nowhere and why Waggot has been retired earlier than he was clinging on for. When you want to transition the playing squad it doesn't mean the whole club has to follow but it is. I'd just like to know which agency is involved this time as chief adviser and commission taker.
  15. Whoever it is will end up with the easiest gig in the world it sounds like a part time position now.
  16. They are also well aware of the risks they are now running with this model and don't seem to care, so it does raise questions about how long the so called desire to remain at Championship level will last.
  17. Something iv'e been arguing for years even to some hard in the head journos and news outlets. You simply cannot call it 'investment' just because the head company might pull its accounting stunts on it's own books by putting it down as such. As far as the club goes it is simply necessary running costs which HAVE to be paid if you own it and don't want to bankrupt it. Investment is when specific money is put in and spent on players or infrastructure to run the club better or help it expand i.e new pitch, Academy buildings, new stand etc. The rest is just running costs, in V's time it's factual that the club has spent almost the same as its sold in terms of buying/selling players so they haven't actually 'invested' much if anything in that department. When someone buys a house or renovates the one they are in that is investment but simply paying utility and food bills to run it is just vital necessary running costs, same with the club. And that spend is gone, never coming back and written off for good the min it leaves your bank account. Unless of course you achieve a massive equity then sell it and everything is covered which is a long shot in any walk of life.
  18. 'Build slowly' when in the position we were in is just insane spoon fed club propaganda by those who benefit most from the secure employment and financial re-embursment a mid table forever Championship club provides for them. It's akin to saying no i won't take the fantastic early retirement package iv'e been offered and take a chance on a new job. i'd rather work on my current wages another 20 years because i feel that would make more sense.
  19. You've already highlighted why there'll be moans either way, he SHOULD have been tied down nearly every one of the ones walked for free would've committed earlier IF the club had shown them something. If you invest in players to grow and sell then it's an absolute priority to always make sure you have something in place to protect that asset the excuse of a bit of poor form doesn't wash. At the very least you'll get your modest invest back if they are protected with a contract but don't actually fulfil the potential you had in mind. Otherwise it's pointless we might as well just exist entirely on loans and freebies on low wages.
  20. The present regime inside that club want rid of everyone and they want cheaper. Actions speak louder than words and they are clear.
  21. Odds on we'll be desperate for someone like that by mid season.
  22. Allegedly he was at Brizzles training ground a few weeks ago.
  23. So so predictable something like this would happen but it's just sooner rather than later. Which academy lad can they throw in now ?
  24. Maybe a club who wants him is trying to get someone else out the door first in order to make way for these alleged gargantuan wages he's demanding.
  25. Well we never build on what we do they do the exact opposite and pull it all to bits again so literally anything could happen.
