v Sheffield Wednesday (h) - 3/2/26

Exactly. I think what the reason is we think perhaps his talents on the ball could be utilised better and we should't be just relying on him every game to try and put in one killer pass. Hopefully a new coach recognises this. -

I don't act like anything so don't be a slapped arse because your favourite is getting some stick. If he's so effective how come we aren't seeing anything come form it ? Nobody has questioned his effort but the salient point is he's too lightweight to do what he's being asked - or more likely demands - to do. He isn't Gazza he's a twig so why are they setting the team up for him to try and play like that ? -

Are we a team who can afford to carry one player in a system designed around him in return for one pass that carries a 25% chance of being converted into a goal ? There ca n be a place for him but he has to be a cog in the wheel because he isn't the engine that drives it but that's how they try to do it. -

People keep using the word potential in regards to Cantwell but he never really shows any. Yes he's one of the only actual footballers we have but we can't keep having the team set up just for him to drift around falling over. We aren't making the best of what he might bring and he shouldn't be anywhere near the captaincy. -
Wouldn't be averse to still but i genuinely don't think Rooney should be totally ruled out. It's just the typical thing one of the Indian owners might do if they get wind he's interested. Big name to trumpet about back in India where most of em are Man U fans. Plus he works cheap if he really wants the job and will probably agree to walk for nothing if it doesn't work. He's a live one for sure.

Younger, on decent money, think they saw him as someone who they expected to become the main centre half. -

I still cannot get over the fact those at Ewood thought he was a suitable replacement for Hyam. Absolute extreme cost cutting and downgrading that was. -

Jorgensen is the type we probably won't see the best of until next season, after a full summer pre season with hopefully a gaffer who knows how to use him. Thought Johnson did well tonight it was never going to be good i don't know what some expected. Ismael leaving solves very little at the min other than an opportunity to go back to basics a bit and try and tighten up. Mowbray or Eustace wouldn't have approached it much different knowing what we know about them and more importantly this squad. Ismael likely loses that 1 nil. -
Reading fans seem to hate Richardson but there'd be compen payable so that tends to rule our lot out, thank god. Boot Gestede out and get Mowbray as DoF to mentor Johnson.

If it was Coleman it's the loudest clearest signal yet that it's another installation to run things for whoever is sat in the middle and not for the good of the club or fans. Another stooge with the usual links and for many that would be it the final straw only a Kean or Coyle return could be worse.

The January 2026 Transfer Window

I could handle it if they weren't billionaires and were running the club correctly after cutting away the venky deadwood. -

Had to make a slight alteration. -
Coleman would probably be the final straw breaking the camels back for this club and ownership.

Kinell that's more than enough of a link to get the alarm bells ringing.

It'll be from the 30-1 plus section it always is.

Valérien Ismaël: Former Head Coach

Probably Gestede unhappy that Baradji and De Neve and Henriksson weren't starting every game. All just brought here to increase in value and move on quickly. -

About 5/600 i think they cut it in half when there's not many expected. -

As someone has already mentioned they probably just signed off the use of whatever money was available to pay off Ismael and his crew instead of bringing more players in. Should have been done weeks ago then they could've shifted a few fringe men out and got a couple more in but we know how they dither. As i said someone has finally got big Barrys attention. -
Should've gone for him instead of Ismael but they brought this guy in for the job in hand which was sell everything they could, replace with cheap development players and youth. Be quiet and coach what you are given, just keep us treading water. Gerrard or anyone with an ounce of ambition wouldn't touch it.
-
Just think the balance of probability, based on the evidence we have both in terms of Ismaels flaky character and how things are said to have happened here in the past, suggests things have finally come to a head and something has given. At some point in the future Suhail or someone will say the order came from the owners or Val chose to leave. Truth = the middle somewhere.
-
I just find it impossible to believe Gestede sacked him he'd never have that authority no matter how much sway he might think he has. I could however see Ismael storming off he has form for it but if the axe has truly come it's because Balaji has got out of the right side of bed after having an early night for once.

I've already covered it several times over even before he was potted but seeing as you only grace us with your special brand of arrogance occasionally i'll repeat it. Look no further than Gary Rowett. I also said Duff would be fine as a punt if we were ambling along safely going nowhere or it was summer. -
Probably went along the lines of 'I've been waiting to be sacked for weeks can't you see i can't do anything with this shite you've given me' We can't afford to pay you off. 'Ok i'll take half you useless streak of piss' Done ! That means we don't have to sign anybody now so fook off !

I think you'd be more suited to the Beano than the bible son.
