  1. They brought a book out as well if i remember right ? Be lucky to get a tweet these days. 'A book you say ? Pah we'll only sell enough to cover costs it's not worth it we'll not make any money on it' Present attitude.
  2. They'll not sack him and if he left we'd probably get the London based finance guy who was appointed to the board rocking up and overseeing matters. I sense he might be behind a lot of the recent cuts on top of the thumbscrews the other two were already operating. Just like the rest of them he'd then spot his own opportunity to ride the gravy train and enjoy all the perks.
  3. And if he'd reduced season tickets to £150 adults as a one off celebration to the clubs historic birthday he'd have averted a lot of flak even with the mess on the contact situations, comings and goings. We'd be guaranteed 15k+ every home attendance leading to a 17/18k average at least over the season, better atmosphere and bigger takings in all other aspects of the club. A shortfall in ticket income if there actually was any is surely offset by all the transfer income and increase in other revenue. No better time to do it for a number of reasons but instead he chose to cry about losing a few grand due to Steve's £20 quid discount and the leccy bill going up. Absolute corner shop mentality.
  4. The kit is nice but they usually are however it isn't radical or much of a tribute to anything it's just bog standard stuff. Typical of the lack of real punch in anything they do down there and just smacks of going through the motions again.
  5. Win or lose there is also the 20% money transfer tariff that everyone seems to have forgotten about. There is no way they are returning to previous funding levels whatever happens as that was allegedly responsible for the 20% funding cut that sent JDT into a tailspin.
  6. Wrexham have other sources of income like maybe netflix plus their corporate and merchandise sales will be booming, also with demand out stripping supply in terms of seats they probably charge more than us. I'd imagine on the back of all that their advertising income is booming as well, chuck in the fact Travis won't be on big money here so it won't be that difficult to top the wages. He might even settle for less per week if he gets 3 years and a signing on fee or promise of a big performance related rise.
  7. Hes been no miss at all and i knew he wouldn't be, Yuki is twice the player and even Cantwell who probably took his big wage slot has offered more appearance wise.
  8. If players were tied down the likes of Wrexham and Brum wouldn't be after them because they'd have to pay big money and offer big wages. As it is frees or contracts ticking down coupled with the fact these lads have been on low or modest wages means they are easy pickings. If our lads were on decent contracts then head turning is just head turning it happens all the time and if no big offer comes in they just have to get on with it where they are. Again contracts ticking down or short term deals means the head gets turned and doesn't turn back because they are just watching the clock tick down to better money and more ambition. Ok players will always leave or be sold but here now this club has created a noose for its own neck which means in 90% of cases instead of 50% they'll be off. Still, the middlemen and agents are happy and some would say that's no coincidence either.
  9. They get paid so they come then whilst they are here they get paid to relaunch their careers then engineer their exits once there is another job offer. That's all this club exists for now, a stepping stone for anybody and everybody the only ones who don't eff off are the ones who've created this.
  10. Nixon is a spin doctor that's what he is it's his job he takes snippets of info and rumour and spins them into tales and stories. His ability to play both sides and sit on the fence via his wording is legendary yet some still can't see it, others chose not to unless it suits. I think the main reason a lot on here flip flop between believing him then not is because unfortunately his positive spin usually turns out to be hot air whereas the negative stuff often follows through in reality.
  11. He does not say Travis HAS been offered a 3 year deal by Rovers.
  12. And selling both would just about cover the 4 or so they requested from India. It's all about that black hole now and in a few months there'll be another one.
  13. Cult hero to present era fans, Speedie style but at the other end of the division.
  14. He was hardly 'forcing' a move anyway he was gone the min they made a serious bid the haggling was just over the fee and terms of it. His release clause had been hit so he was fully entitled to go for that figure it's a legal agreement as far as we know. Fact is he turned out in some games afterwards and risked injury blowing it for him. If he was the twohat some are making him out to be he would have flatly refused like no doubt quite a few others have.
  15. A monumental overreaction he's hardly Rudy Gestede.
  16. No thanks i'll not bother i'd much prefer someone to scroll through his tweets and replies.
  17. Honesty is the best policy and something sadly lacking in the Ewood boardroom so fair play to him he isn't the first and won't be the last but he has the balls to admit it. Never ever let us down on the pitch even just before he moved unlike one or two others.
  18. They knocked off £20 🤣 Even at the time some said it was a con trick so they could then say 'no point bothering'. When nobend first did theirs an adult ST behind the goal i think was £100 cheaper than Rovers at the time, Bolton was even cheaper but obviously a league lower. It's hard to fathom are they complete crackpots or just con jobs covering their own arses.
  19. Well you can ask him, i can't iv'e been blocked since 2012 so have to rely on others quoting him. The quote i saw said Rovers offered him a good deal but only 12 months and he wanted 2 years which Derby were willing to match.
  20. It's embarrassing and absolutely the fault of this ridiculous regime but nobody gets held to account because the CEO whose been hiding under a COO title has now created the narrative we only have 9k fans. Which is odd considering the average home attendees over a season is around 13.5k. But yes we can't sell anymore so no point bothering.
  21. Not necessarily and like i said ask your mate Nixon it's funny you don't chose to believe his words when it suits.
  22. He's on a free transfer and his contract here is till end of June so nothing will happen before then.
  23. Yes i'm all for protecting the assets but they jumped the gun there based more on the hype than anything, he obviously looked good in training but had about half a dozen good first team performances to his name. Can only assume it was on modest money and that's why he's still here.
  24. Just because he hasn't yet doesn't mean he won't do as long as it's on the table.
  25. Problem with him now as i see it is he knows he's a back up player and his attitude matches that, how often does he give away needless free kicks or open his mouth at the ref when hes committed one ? 5 year contract tailed him off imo.
