Another note, Mokoena seems more effective playing Def Mid than Centre Back. Seems Similar to Makelele but not a good, Breaks up play but doent rly get forward. Which is what you want.

Mabye a point against Liverpool but it will be extremely difficult against Man U and Arsenal. But hey if palace can hold out so can we.

Although it was a fantastic result yesterday, possible the best performance of the season, we are not safe yet! With the prospects of 0 points in our next 3 games v Man U, Pool and Arsenal, coupled with another win or so for teams below us we would be right back in it. The key to our survival is going to determine how we do against the teams around us as we still have to play the likes of West Brom, Southampton, Portsmouth, Birmingham etc.

YESSS STEAD, weve been wanting that to happed all season. This result was massive, with the next 3 games coming up i cant see many points! The whole team played well today, Nelsen, Reid and Stead down the middle were quality. If we are goin to play one upfront stead may be the better option as he holds the ball up better than Dikov. If we can get a decent striker next season to take the Pressure of Stead and Gally we could really see them perform.

Tugs was a deflection. Hydes was fantastic. That was the only noticable strike Burnely had, but only going off highlights.

If say man u and arsenal get to the final of the Cup, and we get knocked out in the semi, but both man u and arsenal get into Europe from the league? How is the Fa cup european place decided? Our defense looks different class to the start of the season. The pitch helped burnly, i think Gallagher who likes to play neat and tidy football struggles in these games. Pedersen looks quality and confident. We are desperate for a striker, and one with heading and strength if possible. But i think a replay is good for the club. Hes shocking. Had one good season but has been abysmal ever since. Hardly scored a goal! Earnshaw would be a good signing though! Hes already scored about 12 or 13 for Brom, and has only played about a third of a season.

We all agree that Tugay has incredible passing and vision, but cant defend! Savage does the defending, and we can now use Tu-Gay to unlock defences. We have to be more attacking at home, as Norwich will probably come to defend. I think were an attacking midfielder and a striker off being a good team. Next season should be alot better aslong as we stay up. Or mabye use Mokoena as a defensive midfielder and play three more attacking players ahead of him, with todd and Nelsen at centre Back. 4-1-3-2. Mabye Tugay can now be used as a more attacking player alongside savage. He has more creativity than Thompson, who is still to convince he can hack the premiership. Also how does this transfer work? It says we have a guaranteed £4.5m with that rising to £5m. But are the Debts we owe cancelled now? Meanin it is in essence a £6mish transfer? Or will we still have to pay rangers? If not at least we seem to have broken even.

Also says Jemal Johnson is 6ft. I seen his afew times for the reserves at morecambe and he looks tiny.

I genuinely feel upset for Matt. He is unlikely to ever recapture his form, and the career of one of Englands best prospects has been ruined. Think what we could have achieved with a fully fit Jansen. However it may just be me clutching at straws but he has shown his ability in flashes. The goal against liverpool, Birmingham and another i cant remember. he has hardly had a decent run upfront to find any form. So mabye just mabye, an extended run in his favoured position may help regain his sharpness and his goals. I would give him an extention, play him in as many possible games as we can and see what happens. he cant score any less that steady and bothroyd. I believe he would still bag us around 10-15 goals if he played every game from the start of a season.

Well excited about seeing savage play. Just wish it could have been with ferguson. Also quite pleased to see Dikov suspended, hes been great above all expectation but would like to see what i feel will be rovers pairing of the future in Stead and Gallagher get a start. If stead gets a goal or two i feel his season will begin to fly. With the rest of the team we have now, an inform striker would make us a dangerous side. 1-0 Rovers with a Savage Penalty on his debut.

Sav has said that the ex- rovers players at Birmingham told him it was the right move and he will love it up here. Does that mean they enjoyed Blackburn more than Blackburn? And as for who is a better club? Birmingham have only signed players who couldnt break into our first team, Johnson, Taylor, Yorke and Dunny towards the end of his rovers career. We have signed one of their most importiant players. This shows alot for the Strength of the two sides and the pulling power the clubs have.

We have won 4 out of the last 5 in all competitions, lost about 2 in the last 10 or something and still mark lawencen predicts us to loose every week! Does he have something against us? because the football reasons for predicting us to loose dont stick. What a muppet, an extremely annoying man. However his bad predicitions seem to work well for rovers as we tend to do well in the games he predicts us to loose.
