  1. Again shows the massive gulf in quality and depth of the top squads compared to Englands. Would start every game for us. However, looking at the Germany squad it looks a strange decision. Their midfield is full of similar players who all play central and play keep ball, with not much pace in the wide or forward areas. Strange they have left Sane out as their few wide pacey player.
  2. Interestingly the most frequent scorer of those has been Batshuayi over the last 6 months. Hes scored a lot more for Dortmund than Morata has at chesea recently.
  3. Just looking at the players Spain, France and Belgium have omitted from their WC squads. Think it shows where we are strength and depth wise... Naingollan (belgium), Fabregas, Marcus Alonso, Morata, Bellerin (Spain).
  4. Smalling?? We must watch different games. I agree we should have taken Shelvey. I would still have taken Wilshire too although hes paying the price for pulling out of those two friendlies. Our team has plenty of workmen like players but no one who can pick a pass through a tight defense. Our forward line has goals in it but we dont create them any chances. Was the same at the last tournament. Loads of possession but no penetration. Its a shame Milner is retired and Oxlade Chamerlin got injured. Both have had a fantastic season. Dont see how Lallana can be on the reserved list and Wilshire dropped for being too injured when hes played miles more football than Lallana this year.
  5. You can't deny his commitment to Rovers. Love it.
  6. Is this a joke? Raya must have saved us at least 15 points with saves that only top level prem keepers would make, yet cant think of any points dropped to dodgy kicks. This is why he was voted L1 Gk of the year. If he gets much better he wont be at Rovers for long.
  7. Strange quote in the LET from Mowbray regarding Payne. Unless I've read it wrong, Mowbray is only interested in signing him if he accepts he will be a substitute most weeks. If he has ambitions to start and become a focal point hes not interested.....Managers usually want the latter. “My selections have shown that I haven’t seen him as a 90 minute footballer, the challenge for Jack is whether he can accept that or whether he’s a lad who wants to play, be in the team, be the main man and let him make things happen. “If that’s what he’s thinking and demanding then this is probably not the place for him but we can have that discussion and I’ll discuss that with him and see where we go.”
  8. Key things we need for me after watching us through the season are: A goal scoring striker to support Graham. A high energy centre midfielder A natural wide player with pace. Players to release/Sell: Caddis, Evans, Samuel,
  9. Mclaren is also a shockingly bad Coyle esque manager, living off a good season or two 10 years ago.
  10. Gutted for the lad more than us. Sounds a bad injury to have so young. Michael Owen was never the same after he did his. He must not come back to football until his hamstring is 100 percent ready even if it's a year. Coming back too soon could be a career ender.
  11. How much of a difference does Mulgrew make. Must be the best player in the league. Top 6 championship player at least.
  12. I cannot defend to save my life on fifa 18. You can literally walk through me. Struggle to even basically control my defenders. Swìtching player seems a night mare too. I was pretty good at 17. Am horrendous at this one
  13. Your not going to get much of a story on a racing sim. Visuals are a massive part of what makes modern racing games, I.e Weather effects, lighting, tyre wear etc
  14. Anyone else think the graphics and animations are quite poor on F1 2011. They were definitely better on F1 2010. Seems strange that the newer game looks visually worse than the older one.
  15. Ill be picking up F1 2011 today on the way home. Apparently the online is quite different. The big missing point for me on many modern racing games is the lack of a split screen
  16. Looks a pretty handed free kick taker. Pedersen may have some competition. Im not really expecting to see him or Formica establish themselves until next season
  17. Great minds think alike
  18. Whatever happened to Matt Derbyshire? Still at Brum or gone back to Greece. Didnt make much impact for Birmingham
  19. Watched paranormal activity today at the cinema. One of the scariest films ive seen for a while. I find the cheap home made style with little special effects more scary and believable than the big budget hollywood films. Im into my paranormal stuff, and the fact it starts slowly and builds to a head is what alot of real life reports are like rather than being all action from the start. Made me laugh when the psycic told them he cant help, then they called him again. He flew all the way accross america to knock on the door tell them he cant help and leave again within 30 seconds. Apparently it only cost $11,000 to make and has made hundreds of millions of dollars so far. Fully reccomended but dont watch it alone in a dark cinema!
  20. Does anyone remember that ps1 game called G Police. I loved that game. Would love them to bring out a ps3 version but since there was only ever 1 version released back in 1997 or something, it doesnt look like there ever will be
  21. Im not up Utd's backside but you can hardly question Fergusons tactics and signings. Theyve just won 4 trophys this season and finished runners up in the champions league and semis in the FA cup. Won the league and champs league last season. Yet hes got crap tactics because they lost to an outstanding Barca team? And Rooney, Ronaldo, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra and Van Der Sar were crap signings?
  22. Got to say Berbatov is the biggest waste of cash ive ever seen. £30m for a lazy forward who has no impact what so ever. Spurs must be laughing. Man Utd never got going, but give Barca credit they never gave them chance. For all their creative passing there extremely organised and hard working off the ball. Would have been nice to watch both teams playing at their full potential rather than just one.
  23. Dont know if anyone has mentioned this before. http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=203174 The next call of duty will be developed by Infinity ward (COD4:MW) and not Teyrach (COD:WAW) and will return to the modern day weaponry and settings. The title is to be Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Im personally really looking forward to a return to modern weaponry. Dont get me wrong COD world at war is a quality game, but I think the World War II shooter has been done to death now. Had a go on COD4 online the other day and Id forgotten how much I prefer the modern guns on that to the world war 2 guns on WAW. CANT WAIT! Call of duty best games on ps3 in my opinion especially online.
  24. What instructions do you give you your back for and had success with. I really struggle to get my defenders...to well defend. I usually have a deep defensive line with no creative freedom across it and rare forward runs. Sometimes I send the fullbacks forward. But even with this balls over the top still catch out my defence leaving strikers 1 on 1 with my keeper.
  25. I believe people should serve their sentence. Crime is getting easy nowadays, troublemakers know that any punishment they deserve and recieve will more than likely be halved or more.
