  1. Fair dos! Welcome! ?
  2. This is a fair point. Whilst Bell does have many technical flaws, he does have a decent bit of pace and does try and get forward. For £300K he is probably as good if not better than I expected. To improve on him, the price will very quickly go up for each percent of ability increase. He is also better in most areas other than aerial than Williams who is garbage.
  3. Out of interest and nothing to do with this thread but why has a leeds fan racked up 185 posts on a Blackburn forum?? ??
  4. Disagree with this. Williams must be the worst player I've seen in a Rovers shirt since Lowe. I also said this all last season. Bell isnt good by any stretch but much better than Williams. Id look to replace both in summer. Important we win this to get over the newcastle game dissapointment. Hoping Reed is fit. Given Armstrong has found some form and scored a few goals lately I would keep him upfront even if it means moving Dack around a bit. Give Dack a free role off the left. We shouldnt be worrying about Ipswich at home and play how we want. Raya Nyambe Lenihan Rodwell Bell Travis Reed Rothwell Dack Graham Armstrong
  5. Not the championship but just watching Derby and Southampton. Their passing and pace is a level above what we produced last night....and Newcastle for that. A good benchmark of where we need to get to.
  6. I wouldnt be too worried if he had some raw physical attribute which was promising like great pace or strength, around which his technique could be moulded. What Ive seen so far is a young player with no standout ability or physical features. I cant see what part of his game can be built on to be a better player. He looks slow, skinny and weak to me without much technical ability. Hopefully his lack of performance is more due to a crisis in confidence which some time in the U23s would benefit. Nuttall, whilst being limited in ability looks stronger, faster and more of a useful player at this point.
  7. Andy Murray announcing he will likely retire this year due to a hip injury. The surgery earlier this year hasnt cured the problem to the extent it effects his mobility in normal life. He got some stick but I always liked Andy Murray. Gave everything for the cause. Goes to show while the money is something us normal folk can only dream of, being a professional athlete takes a massive tole on the body.
  8. Sounds like a decent performance with some good individual displays. Still can't get away from the habit of conceding goals on 85mins plus.
  9. Leutwiler Nyambe Lenihan Mulgrew Bell Travis Rodwell Rothwell Dack Brereton Armstrong Strongest team but give some others a look.
  10. I think Tony is an honest genuine bloke but i believe his managerial ability is limited. I remember last season being very underwhelmed many a time by his tactics and comments. There was one game at home to bury where in the build up Mowbray explained in the LET how it would be a very hard game and that he would have to make a team to cope with their brilliant right back. Come on..... The players have lost their battle, Dack is a shadow of what he was and the manager seems clueless. Thank God for the early season points. I can't see Venkys and co being keen to replace him.
  11. No team when 0-0 Against 10 men should lose by 3 goals and counting. Not even amateurs. Shocking. What's worse I would trust him to spend any money wisely come January.
  12. We are fecking spineless. Where has the early season fight gone? Against 10 men again and we play for a point. Any other side would go for it. Getting boring now. Constant negative tactics.
  13. We need to go for it now. Bring on Graham alongside Brereton. Like we should have against Boro. I suspect we will sit in for the point and conceed in the last 10.
  14. We did it often last season. It's not just this season. Luckily L1 teams were awful. Didn't we have to delay a promotion party because we lost a lead in the last min?
  15. This team and manager have a serious mentality issue....once or twice is bad luck or a decent team. To lose the lead the way we have over the last month is inexcusable. Poor mentality and bad management. Kick the ball in the stands for 2 minutes. Never known a side snatch defeat from the jaws of victory so often. That's 7 points we've dropped in the last 10 minutes over the last month. Shocker.
  16. Sadly the league table now probably reflects what our performances have deserved this season. I wouldn't say we are any better or worse now than when Mowbray took over. Our best player is also on loan More worryingly is Dack seems to have completely gone off it
  17. We need to phase out the pedestrian, cautious lack of technical ability approach and develop a forward thinking mobile side. I very much doubt Mowbray will ever think this tough. Raya Nyambe Lenhian Mulgrew Bell Rodwell Reed Armstrong Dack Rothwell Graham Subs. Nuttall. Travis. Downing. Evans. Brereton. Palmer, Leutwiler
  18. This result confirms that before we have any thoughts of pushing for the play offs this team needs some serious improvement. So two games 80 minutes against 10 men and a 2-0 lead have resulted in only 2 points. I guess we have to give them credit to have led us to relative safety in the division but many of this squad are simply not good enough to progress any further. I think it will take 3 or 4 transfer windows of successful improvement
  19. I agree I think most out business will be re-jigging out loan players. Solanke must be looking to go out on loan from Liverpool. Hes not had a kick this season other than England U21s. I think hes out of our reach though and will probably go to bottom half prem sides. Vydra also doesnt seem to have played much but is proven in the Championship. I think we will be sniffing around squad players on loan from teams like Everton, Bournemouth etc.
  20. Looking at the games coming up this is an important game at home. I'd want us to go at it from the off. Need Reed in the middle. Raya Nyambe Lenihan Mulgrew Bell Reed Evans Rothwell Dack Armstrong Graham
  21. Agree I think Chapman has missed the boat with us now. I wouldn't think anyone would look at him until he's had a couple of years injury free. Another loan maybe. Lack of pace and lack of goals other than dack or Graham is our main issue.
  22. We've no attacking flair other than Dack (when he turns up). Need some pace
  23. We'd have taken a point before the game, but given the circumstances it's a big 2 points dropped. If we were down to 10 men I doubt we'd have kept it level
  24. Not got a good feeling about this one. perhaps thats a good think after being quietly confident before the Preston and Wigan game. I doubt there will be many goals whatever the score. Drab 0-0.
  25. Just had a quick look, seems he starts regularly on the left. Made 14 appearances and started the last game. Still feel a bit surprised a blackburn fan born in blackburn jumped ship at the first opportunity. He only had about 10 games under his belt with us.
