I thought the game was a bit more up tempo then most this season but we just can't create any chances going forward. Thank god it's over though.

Was lucky enough to have missed the 89 away game. had to go to a wedding. I went to all but 3 or 4 home and away that season but the game was in June for some reason and no one imagined the season would be still going then. Still hate Palace, the year before was horrible as well when we lost to them and scuppered another promotion push, I was at that 1 unfortunately.

We seemed to have a decent last 5 minutes. Clutching at straws.

I saw it all and he was useless. King's 1 of those players who is quite quick but has no footballing ability at all so just runs into people and gets tackled every time he gets it.

We did have a huge squad but the "disappeared" are growing by the week, just as they did at this time last year. What's happened to Mn Olsson, Lowe and Givet who would all improve tonight's side. Maybe they're injured but the info coming out of Ewood is so pathetic who knows?

Funny that Givet was a "warrior" last week and yet today we are preferring Morris at left back where he has played often and well in the recent past. Oh no, CKR sounds knacked.

Kamy we don't have the players in midfield with the courage to do the difficult things like playing it on the ground and looking for the positive pass, we take the easy option and pay it long so we don't have to take responsibility for creating anything. It's been the same all season and I don't see it changing now.

Have really good and bad memories of playing Palace down the years, mainly bad. What about the 5-4 game back in about 89, and when a Mickey Droy header punctured another promotion push sometime in the mid-80s. I can still hear his roar when he thundered it in at the Blackburn End. Selhurst Park is of course a place of nightmares for us older Rovers fans so at least it's not down there. can see us winning 1-0 after a game so dire that we won't even be bothered to boo by the end of it.

We can thank Appleton for recognising that the players were unfit and couldn't last a full 90 and getting them working hard in training. Evidence was there last night, we had more chances in the last 10 than we usually have in a whole game.

I think this was just a list of games we didn't win despite having more money to burn than the opposition. We don't have a divine right to beat anyone and if you carry on like we have as a club you'll always end up in trouble. In reality we didn't win these games because we have been total mince all season and have deserved exactly what we have ended up with. Hopefully we can survive and regroup for next year but unless there is a change of approach it will be the botoom of the league we'll be looking at next year not the top.
