Now there you go, you see. Cairney and Evans, of course, yes. But Todd Kane? I suspect that's someone from the last ten years, but not sure? Sounds like a surfer dude, or a character in neighbours.

I always like reading that"who's played for both clubs" segment on the front page. There's always a load that I forget, some I had no idea on and others is not heard of. Frank Stapleton played for Huddersfield. Who knew?
So, Hull. There's Bob dewhurst, David mail. That's all I can think of 🤣

Handy thread.
I know the Jerome Anderson/Steve Keane idiocy Venky's indulged in heaped most of the problems on themselves but Venky's are now down getting on for some 350m including the buy price and contributions.
By all means call to boot them out if you can find someone else with 350m they can invest/waste/squander over 12 years.
Clearly no-one is going to be able to buy it from them . As a going concern we're absolutely busted.
It's mind boggling just how crap these people are

Nah, my idea of a moisturiser is a couple of pints of Guinness.
I'm not doing too badly for fifty one. The dinosaur noises when I get out of bed in the morning aren't the best though

Thanks, Broadsword. Heh! I'm 80 today. Hell, I don't feel it. I still feel like an energetic 72 year old.
Happy 70th to you, Sir 🍺 🍻
Seventieth?! WHAT?! WHAT?!
I'm a tad younger than that. 😆

I'm so proud of our team today. Regardless of the result every man played his heart out for the cause. If Rovers play with that spirit in every game Ewood will be filling up.
Ref was good today, too.
Happy birthday bazza, glad you enjoyed it

I would've look at Millwall even now. It's all on Norwich and pne now. Maybe Coventry, but doubt it.
Rovers are impossible to predict, but if we do get into the play offs, I would see that as a bonus. We've had a very weird season, were difficult to predict. But I don't think we fair too well when the pressure is on. If we get to the final, I'll be very pleasantly surprised. Get promoted and I will have to seriously review my religious beliefs

It's my birthday and I'm done with getting upset with it all. We're sitting ducks in terms of league position. I would say it's agony watching us cling on to sixth, but in my bones I know we'll drop out soon and not get back in

If you ask me it's two goalkeeping errors today. Huddersfield barely touched the ball for the first 15 minutes, it's not like we're being overrun.

Every big game we've played this season we have bottled.
Was going to say except sheff United in the cup, but the manager borrowed that in the last ten minutes and the rest is history.
So yeah, bottle merchants

Sadly, and I imagine like most seasoned campaigners, I expect us to deliver another no show tomorrow. Strangely, the only hope that I carry is that Huddersfield have won three on the trot and four on the bounce is a rarity and against the odds. However, one has to wonder whether they could have picked a better opposition to beat the odds, Rovers usually oblige.
Well yeah, it's Monday we need to turn up on?

My birthday on Monday. Not sure I want to know the result until Tuesday.
No middle ground with this team at all. I'm expecting a loss, but we're very hard to predict, so you never know.

Devil's advocate mode on:
The owners APPEARED to be prepared to sanction a small fortune in wages to bring O Brien in in Jan - until someone at the Club sabotaged all incoming deadline day business.
Either intentionally or by design
What happened there I'm now quite sure. But the club is dysfunctional, I would hope we can agree on that. And the buck surely stops with the absentee owners. It isb twelve years of absolute calamity, and the day these people kindly fuck off is the day this club has a chance to get it's heartbeat back

Nothing will ever change whilst we are still glibly talking about "projects" or "journeys" that may or may not come to fruition many years down the line.
We need a mentality that results and performances are required NOW and if we don't see them it simply isn't acceptable.
Players and management team alike. I'm not holding JDT solely responsible as imo he inherited a right load of shite and problems off Mowbray but it's not Mowbray's fault for example that we haven't signed another striker since he left
I won't name names but there's a widely respected player of the eighties who said to me, and this is at least six years ago now, but probably more "the first thing that venkys will get right is putting the club up for sale".
He's absolutely been proven right to my mind. It's just perpetual torment being owned by these pricks. Why they don't turn it in I have no idea. And to think there's people out there willing to forgive them. Staggering

There was a rovers fanzine, can't remember which one, that did a cartoon step called Jimmy's boots
Based on Billy's boots. Except these boots made you "beamo" everything. Suffice to say, it wasn't complimentary in any way

Bit of a low bar to get over isn't it? "They're not as bad as when they appointed Steve Kean".
