I'd definitely take a point right now ta.
A last minute winner for Burnley that secures them the title. This is the stuff of nightmares

Can you imagine what any of our legendary strikers would have done with the Hedges chance towards the end there? Actually it doesn't take any imagination at all - the ball would have been buried in the net by most putting their foot through it with glee, some might have put it in row z which would have slowed the game down anyway,

Regardless of deserving, we'd get battered.
Lottery ticket whatever, over 180 mins against those clubs we've no chance.
We can't even hold out 5 mins against lesser clubs.
And if we went up, we'd get absolutely tramelled every week.
Not that we're going up, and we won't be doing so at least until the chicken ticklers are gone.

Tony and John sadly not very well but still with us. We've lost Ken, Mick, Johnny and Don unfortunately.
Good find that,ta

Technically still in it but it's quite bizarre that we are after a run of no wins in how many?
I'd still wager though that no matter how badly the other sides perform we'll react accordingly and do whatever it takes to finish just outside the playoffs. You could put your house on it. It's the mentality that's built up within and surrounding the Club.
The narrative will then be about how unlucky we've been and what a great season we've had, when in reality ( for the second season running) a play off place should never have been in doubt
Couldn't agree more with this. Since venkys took over, getting a gig at rovers means doing just enough to get your money, but don't be too successful because that will raise expectations and you might not be able to meet them
they're all at it and venkys couldn't give a shit.

Can't blame the keeper for that.
Handball.
Why was Wilson allowed time and space unmarked in the box
Why did we give them all the time and possession free kicks and corner in the final 5mins
Why bring on morton
I was thinking more that if you're lacking bottle, then tim is yer man to bring in

Is there a bigger set of bottlejobs in the Football League than this mob?
Unfortunately you have to include the manager in that. Went all "Sheffield United" again and put us completely on the back foot with the substitutions.
Bring back Tim flowers

It's making me uncomfortable that the 'ROVERS' isn't in the middle!
(though I like the idea - always thought stuff like this, and covering corners of stands with flags/memorabilia is a good way to make it feel more full)
(rofl) Bloody cack-handed Rovers.
Feel dead nervous, I get the feeling he won't pick Wharton or Leonard, and it will be Gallagher and Morton instead, and we'll lose. Will love to be proven wrong, I'm just readying myself for what feels like impending disappointment.

As I thought. When the heat is on our boys melt. Been the case since that lot rocked up over a decade ago. Sickening.
Actually, that is very true

Well guys, we're stuck with them, at least for now, whether we like it or not. Dichotomy of control, where there's no control, there's no responsibility. And certainly nothing I do is going to affect whether or not they sell up.
I look at football these days and there's so much I don't like. The mad kick-off times, the sport-washing, the amount of money floating around, the agents, clubs selling of their grounds for housing and building out of town anodyne bowls, bookies advertising on shirts, fans spackled off their tits on Charley Chang, spoiling for a fight. And yeah, foreign ownership.
I long for the good old days. But they're not coming back, are they? It's been buggered by greed. It's why I like the retro shirts because it lets me just live in the past and I can forget what a hellscape it's become.
So, let it go lads, get yourselves down b&q on a Saturday afternoon. Exercise the only agency you have in this matter and vote with your feet.

After 13 years and nearly a third of a billion lost I can only assume that things are going to plan. If they aren’t, why have they not done something about it ?
One possible explanation is that they expected the fans to kiss their arse from day one, and they certainly didn't get that. So maybe it's a vindictive thing. I mean, you've got yer man fat booby Barry, he had some lad spanked with an iron bar on some cellar, for speaking out of turn. Or maybe he did the job himself. Can't quite remember.
But in any case, these lads don't do dissent tolerance. They also don't do business sense. Or just sense. But I don't want to be seen to be harping on.
-
Remember when they thought spending v five million a year would get them in the champions League?
What is it they have burned through? Something like £330mn? Ab third of a billion, something like £27mn a year. It's like Donald Campbell jumping into bluebird and not noticing it's in reverse gear. The way they operate, the business model at Ewood, I can't see it ever succeeding

Oh, no argument from me there. Tomasson is a massive improvement on the lip licking turd nibbler. But they could hardly appoint someone worse, and they have had ten years since he's left for then to get the hang of appointing a manager.
Just because Steve Kean is no longer here, doesn't mean venkys are suddenly amazing owners. I won't do a tedious laundry list, but there's still plenty wrong, and we're a long way from being put back where they found us. I guess never say never. Except I will say never. I'll never accept them, and I'll never forgive them. They're a blight on this club.

Bit of a low bar to get over isn't it? "They're not as bad as when they appointed Steve Kean".

Now there you go, you see. Cairney and Evans, of course, yes. But Todd Kane? I suspect that's someone from the last ten years, but not sure? Sounds like a surfer dude, or a character in neighbours.

I always like reading that"who's played for both clubs" segment on the front page. There's always a load that I forget, some I had no idea on and others is not heard of. Frank Stapleton played for Huddersfield. Who knew?
So, Hull. There's Bob dewhurst, David mail. That's all I can think of 🤣

Handy thread.
I know the Jerome Anderson/Steve Keane idiocy Venky's indulged in heaped most of the problems on themselves but Venky's are now down getting on for some 350m including the buy price and contributions.
By all means call to boot them out if you can find someone else with 350m they can invest/waste/squander over 12 years.
Clearly no-one is going to be able to buy it from them . As a going concern we're absolutely busted.
It's mind boggling just how crap these people are
