  1. Instead there'll be some bs letter at the start of the season, a copy and paste job of what was send the year before
  2. Hear hear. Let's not forget these people aren't whiter than white innocent dupes. Yer man balaji got the jump with a minion and slapped him about with an iron bat on a cellar. Lady desai got into trouble for railroading environmental concerns when doing a debtor. And just look at the state Ewood has fallen into. I'm not forgiving or forgetting and I'll not become an uncle Tom just too spare the feelings of these shit bags who've done so much damage to this club. FUCK 'EM!
  3. The first three games it looks to me were a new manager bounce. It's only just turned September, so I don't want to start extrapolating a season from the last five games. But if you put a gun to my head I'd say we've had a new manager bounce and are now falling to pieces. I'm trying to overcome my natural cynicism and give them a chance but after twelve years of nonsense, I'm finding it hard. Certainly though at Christmas we'll have a much clearer picture 👍
  4. To be successful in football, you need to have the wherewithal to spend money hand over fist, and be willing not to see any return on that money, at least not immediately. Turns out, to get relegated twice and generally be total shit and hopeless, with venkys it takes similar amounts of money. Who knew? What would they have to write off in order to make a success of the club? Disheartening and deflating? Ain't that the truth. The first thing these clueless twats will get right is when they put the club up for sale. But when will they? We live in hope, but not expectation
  5. The first lad would be good for a black lace sing song. GEDDDIMINNNNNNNN!
  6. This Broughton fella has got it very easy as far as I can see. Stays in the shadows, no interviews. Gets paid to recruit players, but it's Tomasson who gets to face the music. It's a great place to work at Rovers, if you don't want to be scrutinised. Was so full of hope after three games, but it's business as usual already. Paper thin squad exposed for what it is, and it's only August
  7. No. This is venkys mess. We'll never succeed for as long as they own us
  8. Cheers mick, thanks for taking the time to answer.
  9. I was wondering if someone could help me out with this question. Bank in the mid seventies, my dad ran the sun hotel on Astley gate in blackburn. We lived in the flat above. One day, so the story goes, when I was four years old, I went walkabout on my own, and was later found in a pub around the corner, trying to drink some fella's milk stout. Just spoke to my mum and she seems to think the name of the pub was the dirty duck pub. This seems to have been on market Street Lane. Looks like it later became Mr g's nightclub. I'm gutted it's been turned into houses now. My question is, what road number was it, what building is it now. If like to revisit the scene of my crime next time I go back to Blackburn. Many thanks in advance. Edit: seems like it's gone forever, http://www.blackburnpast.com/2013/04/market-st-lane-viewed-from-mincing-lane.html?m=1
  10. I remember a very long time ago, Kevin keegan agreed to be manager of Newcastle, and not long after he actually quit, using a a statement to the press: "it's not like I was promised in the brochure". He did subsequently change his mind and the rest is history. You're have to wonder, is Jon dahls current Re experience what he was promised in the brochure?
  11. https://theathletic.com/2871925/2021/10/14/morten-gamst-pedersen-alta-norway-blackburn-football/ Nice article. He's got Jerome's number.
  12. Ooooooooooh, gets involved in discussions. Amazing. Then some unaccountable geezer goes off and tries to sign who he fancied through multiple layers of bureaucracy. Having a coach not a manager is the continental model and hardly any one had it here because it doesn't work in England. If anything, I would say things are now worse than before
  13. So Tomasson is the manager but he doesn't even choose which players we sign, have I got that right? What a load of pony!
  14. If they go then it would surely mean admin. Enormous debt, dwindling income, were a basket case. John Harvey Jones would have an epi. I can only see things getting worse the longer they remain
  15. Probably unhealthy, agreed 👍 I'll be honest, I'm still just glad Mowbray is gone. It's the close season, let's focus on other things. I've just found a money spider and I go on holiday soon. Its never so bad, eh? Hope the sun is shining where you are, have a great day 👍
  16. Well no, he isn't likely to be gone when he realises how hacked off and pessimistic some of our fan base are. Let's not be melodramatic here. I don't think football fans are renowned for their sunny dispositions. Especially so at a club like ours where the owners are billionaires, but there doesn't seem to be the wherewithal to keep the ground in good nick, there's been a parade of time servers through the club for the last decade or more and add the club stagnates, the only people to have done on out of it appears to be the agents. So yeah, I'm pessimistic. Although my post was tongue in cheek, it belies a weary resignation that had become my coping mechanism over twelve very long years. Of course, I how we get promoted and things start to improve, but that's just how talking, you can't live off hope. Conversely some people would welcome venkys back with open arms and consider Mowbray to be some sort of legendary messiah, who should have a statue erected in his honour. I don't get that attitude at all, but hey, it's all part of life's rich pageant
