  1. Probably unhealthy, agreed 👍 I'll be honest, I'm still just glad Mowbray is gone. It's the close season, let's focus on other things. I've just found a money spider and I go on holiday soon. Its never so bad, eh? Hope the sun is shining where you are, have a great day 👍
  2. Well no, he isn't likely to be gone when he realises how hacked off and pessimistic some of our fan base are. Let's not be melodramatic here. I don't think football fans are renowned for their sunny dispositions. Especially so at a club like ours where the owners are billionaires, but there doesn't seem to be the wherewithal to keep the ground in good nick, there's been a parade of time servers through the club for the last decade or more and add the club stagnates, the only people to have done on out of it appears to be the agents. So yeah, I'm pessimistic. Although my post was tongue in cheek, it belies a weary resignation that had become my coping mechanism over twelve very long years. Of course, I how we get promoted and things start to improve, but that's just how talking, you can't live off hope. Conversely some people would welcome venkys back with open arms and consider Mowbray to be some sort of legendary messiah, who should have a statue erected in his honour. I don't get that attitude at all, but hey, it's all part of life's rich pageant
  3. That was my first thought, but I didn't wish to appear pessimistic.
  4. I've got to be honest with you lads, I'm still over the moon that Mowbray has gone. I was bloody sick of him. The moaning, the whingeing, the touchline inertia, the silly phrases, the baffling selections. Its all over. 😌
  5. Roger that. Seems like a capable fella and a straight dealer. Makes you wonder what porkies he got told to get him to sign on. In any case, whether he's good bad or indifferent, we'll find out in the fullness of time
  6. That might be 100% bonus with no basic, though. Contingent upon bringing the glory days back. If he don't turn around, he gets nothing
  7. We're more likely to have a manager named by tombola. Even then yer man maggott would get stuck trying to get a card from the bottom of the barrel
  8. "It's impossible that happiness and yearning for what is not present should ever be united" If venkys have taught us anything (and brutal teachers they would be) it would be the folly of becoming emotionally invested in something over which we have no control. We all want our club back, ie owned by people that care and know what they're doing. That's all I ask. It's all about having hope, something to bond over. "when love and skill work together, expect a masterpiece" i like to think I know a bit about football. If I owned the club after the walker Trust, I like to think I would've kept it in the the prem. Possibly that's the durning kruger speaking, maybe not. But certainly what we have now in these owners ain't love and it's definitely not skill, and fuck me, it ain't no masterpiece. I think there's an unspoken covenant at all football clubs that keeps them functional. The fans will turn up and support, the manager and team will prepare thoroughly and do their best on matchday, and the owners will do their best to appoint the right people and back them. Well blow me, we've never had all three at venkys, and at times we've just had the one. They've thrown our covenant on the bonfire
  9. Your last sentence is a fair point. Difficult not to be angry about what venkys have done, but that doesn't get me anywhere
  10. If they're in a mess, it's one entirely of their own making. They've persisted with Mowbray when any other club would've binned him. They've known for ages that he's leaving. This isn't a case of, take our time, get it right. This is a case of, rovers is bottom of the list of priorities. Look at the fucking state the ground is at. I'm not going to chill , they've ruined my club, and no doubt we'll get another clueless arse in time serve in due course. Can't wait
  11. https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/former-birmingham-city-favourite-day-11328728 Nice read: https://www.wolvesheroes.com/2009/07/27/room-with-a-downwards-view/
  12. That made me laugh 🤣 Good work colt 👍 Edit: and Alan has inoperable cancer sadly
  13. By the way, as part of my googling today, I found that sadly Chris Thompson passed away in 2012. Seems that he was a troubled soul
