  1. Karen Carney has picked her team for our next game. It’s a 3-4-1-2 line up. Pickford Walker, Stones, Guehi Trippier, Bellingham, Rice, Saka Foden Kane, Palmer It’s interesting. Not sure I’d go with it though.
  2. Frankie Lymon And The Teenagers - Why Do Fools Fall In Love
  3. A bit lively wasn’t it. David’s picked on the wrong player in Sanchez, he’d been a boxer in his youth. Racing Club v Glasgow Celtic was a bit of a war as well.
  4. Good interview. He knows what’s needed, but does Southgate ?
  5. Ray Charles - Sticks And Stones
  6. Paloma Faith - Picking Up The Pieces
  7. Every Mothers Son - Come On Down To My Boat Baby One hit wonders.
  8. Not exactly Blackburn but there a long article in my paper today about Whalley and how stag and hen parties are ruining the place for the locals.
  9. I might actually buy one of those after not being particularly impressed with any of the Rovers shirts in the last 20 years.
  10. I thought the Dutch player was near enough to the keeper to be classed as “ interfering. “ Other people have different views, I understand that. Ultimately the VAR officials come to the same conclusion as I did, but it was obviously a close decision.
  11. Maybe you mean - “ The Chiffons “. Splinter - Costafine Town
  12. Gallagher And Lyle - Heart On My Sleeve
  13. If Phillips is Southgate’s idea of a match winner we’re definitely knackered. The old - a dog chasing an empty crisp packet across a car park on a windy day “ springs to mind. We’ve no real shape, no coherent pattern of play, no means of successfully transferring the ball from our last third into their last third on a consistent basis. We play most of the time at walking pace, 2 or 3 touches all the time. We’ve got to increase the tempo of our play 100 %. Whatever Southgate is telling them just makes them worse players, not better. I noticed that Eze, who’s been tearing up the prem, fell right into same bad ways. Just passing it sideways , making no attempt to run with the ball. I watched Spain v Italy last night. They have a way of playing, you can see what they’re trying to do, what the plan is. How to get from A to B with the ball. No square pegs in round holes. When one winger has run his race, they bring another one on. Every player has a role that suits their skill set and they do it to the upmost. Being a student of full back play I really like their left back, Cucurella or “ Side Show Bob” as I call him. He’s everything that Trippier isn’t. Rapid, bags of enthusiasm, looks like he wants to be out there, firm in the tackle, can play off either foot, loves to get forward.
  14. Wharton’s got more ability in one leg than Phillips will ever have in his whole body.
  15. M&S ? That’s where your wife goes to buy your clothes for you.
  16. Major Lance - The Monkey Time
  17. The English press talk shite. Rice is a very good player but nobody will look decent in this set up. It’s a shambles.
  18. We didn’t look anything like a team. What was Kane doing firing that blind pass out from left back straight into the danger zone ? ? Even school kids are taught not to play passes like that. Why is he even there ?
  19. Rockin’ Horse - The Biggest Gossip In Town Great little band, this should have been a hit. They backed Chuck Berry on that BBC show they keep replaying.
  20. He had a right back at left back because the first choice left back is injured. I’d be embarrassed if I were as one footed as Trippier after being a pro for 15 years. It’s not just the passing, shooting and running with the ball, you need to be able to put a tackle in on that side as well.
  21. He’s shocking. The worst of a bad bunch. Absolutely no insight at all. Just tells people the obvious. Where are the people with real knowledge ? When I was younger and they had that panel with the likes of Malcolm Allison and other top coaches they could point out things you hadn’t realised were going on out there. I learnt a load off them, Murphy has taught me nothing.
  22. Disappointed, but not surprised in the slightest.
  23. Ruud Van Nistlehorse. His playing style was to hang around on the edge of the 6 yard box waiting for tap ins. I can’t recall him ever scoring a goal from outside the penalty box. He was good at what he did though.
