  1. Dozens of England caps when that meant something, but more importantly the hearts of Blackburn Rovers fans the world over.
  2. How about - “ Buddy Can You Spare A Dime “ ?
  3. The Merseybeats - I Think Of You
  4. We got stitched up one way or another every time we played them in that era. Way too many times for it to be co-incidental.
  5. Yeah I know, it’s bordering on cruelty. At the moment all he’s known is the current shite. At least I got to see us win things along with Ronnie, Dougie, Shearer etc.
  6. We all are. I’ve recently got my grandson interested in Rovers. I need to maintain his interest, take him to games etc. His dad is already a fan but can’t make it to games apart from the odd match. If it wasn’t for my grandson I’d be walking away and I first walked onto Ewood in 1961. I don’t need this level of fuckedupness in my life . Being a pensioner is tough enough.
  7. On another topic ex - Rover Jack O’Connell has had to retire with knee problems.
  8. George Thorogood And The Destroyers - The Sky Is Crying
  9. Al Green - Tired Of Being Alone
  10. Creedence Clearwater Revival - Down On The Corner
  11. The Miracles - Mickey’s Monkey
  12. The 13th Floor Elevators - You’re Gonna Miss Me
  13. Point of order - don’t you mean “ Them “ ?
  14. I hope he enjoys hot weather. It’s baking over here !
  15. Maxine Brown - Oh No Not My Baby
  16. Charlie And Inez Foxx - Hurt By Love
  17. Grella ! That was a very rare appearance.
  18. Richard Hell And The Voidoids - Blank Generation
  19. I know nothing about cycling. It all seems totally over complicated to me. I love watching the highlights though, it’s fascinating. However the fans are a pain in the backside.
  20. Where we are there isn’t really an English community although there are Brits in neighbouring villages. One of the reason we went there. We avoid the ones that do come into town as a whole because of their attitudes. Nobody really speaks English in the local community either. So it’s learn the language or struggle. I struggle but luckily Mrs Shoelaces is reasonably good. Daft question - what’s the heat like ? We fly out tomorrow and 40C plus isn’t very appealing to be honest.
