One for the old timers - Chris Crowe. Bought as a replacement for Roy Vernon. Not fit to lace his boots unfortunately. We sold him at a loss to Wolves and he ended up getting an England cap !

I’ve been given a nicely framed aerial photo of the new Ewood Park. Taken at an angle from over the Jack Walker stand. It used to be in “ The Bull’s Head “ in Smallbridge, Rochdale. It measures 22” x 18”. It’s going free to the first taker. It must be picked up from my home in Rochdale. A good Xmas gift for someone.

We’d have a chance if we only played them for 70 minutes. After that not being able to refresh the team will be critical.

I thought Vince Grella was a one off but Ennis is something special. A can’t honestly remember another signing like it.

I’d have fancied us with a better squad but not with that bench. It must have been the weakest we’ve ever fielded by a very long chalk. Atcheson, Bloxham, Montgomery, Duru ? Who are they ? What positions do they play ? No wonder the U-21’s are getting battered every week, they’ll all on the bench for the first team !

When I saw the bench I was expecting this sort of performance. You can’t keep going for 2 games a week without being able to rest players .We’ve nearly another possible starting 11 better than today’s starting 11 out injured today. Just a couple of them may have made a difference if we could have brought them on for the last 30 minutes. We haven’t got the resources to cope with so many missing. Not many championship level teams have. We’re in for a tough ride until we can get some bodies back on the pitch. Regarding “ Kids “ some players are “ Kids “ all their lives.
