That's a sly one. If you get a proper dead leg your night is over. -

Yeah, that's the way of it these days. And most of them still struggle when a corner comes in ! -

I hope so. Apart from that he had a decent game. -

I think so, I've only seen him once. He played pretty well but his lack of stature was an handicap in the shoot out. -

If the keeper you mean is Fisher he needs to grow about 6 inches taller. -
Yeah but no thanks to the Cook and Root. What's gone wrong there ?

To be honest with you he's what I expect Evans to be only Evans should be smarter with all his experience. -
Goal of the season for me so far - Conway battling like his life depended on it to win the ball by the corner flag then clearing the ball to Samuel. Samuel rolls his man and is immediately away running hard for the heart of their defence. He makes 65 yards quickly and then slides the pass of the game into Antonnson's stride . He runs on to the ball and then quickly switches the ball back inside to Dack who very calmly pulls the trigger ! What a goal. Great play from Samuel to come so deep to give Conway a shirt to aim at and then to turn defence into attack.

He's got to be more mobile than Evans or Whittingham, Smallwood's been providing all the energy from centre midfield for too long. -
You read my mind. There are no good slow full backs I'm afraid. You need pace first and foremost, it can get you of jail. I agree if you rolled Nyambe and Caddis into one you wouldn't have a good right back but we've got to play one of them. I'd certainly play Caddis at Crewe on Tuesday, I agree Nyambe hasn't taken the chance he has been given.

Yeah, pass of the day from what I've seen. Exactly the right amount of curl, weight and direction. Did you see Samuel leave the centre half clutching his thigh after he'd tried to catch him ? Antonnson played his part there with an instant switch of play back inside. Lots of players would have taken another touch at that point and the chance may have gone. He's a strange player Antonnson. He's not overly quick although along with a few others ( Dack for one ) he's speeded up as the season as gone on and he's got fully fit. He's not really a dribbler and he's certainly not a physical player. He's a good decision maker and he's very decisive in front of goal. Most of his goals are first time shots. At this level that'll get you goals. I'm still not convinced with him to be honest but he usually chimes in with either a goal or a set up pass so as things are at the moment he has the shirt. The thing I like about Smallwood is he's not frightened of joining up with the striker as he did yesterday. Jason Lowe would have got a nosebleed that high up the pitch !

Yeah, nice change of pace there. Drew the guy in and then he was away on the outside. I described him as a " poor man's Rodney Marsh " a while back. Maybe Marsh was before your time but he was a real class act on the ball. He's got the same quick feet for a burly guy as Marsh had , uses his physique well and he has the willingness and confidence to try the unexpected. If he carries on like this he'll be the steal of the season. It's significant it appears he's up to full fitness now to be able to make that burst down the wing right at the death. I'd give a pat on the back to whoever managed to keep the ball under real pressure and then get the pass out to Samuel that led to Dacks second goal as well. It would have been easy just to put the ball out but he didn't't.
