I hope a better team come in for Szmodics than Ipswich at this point. I don't begrudge him a move as we literally owe our championship status to him. Obviously we don't know the full ins and outs but either 1 or both parties are being hard work and stubborn. If he does go to Ipswich it's almost certainly literally 1 season in the prem I would say. They'll go down and unless he absolutely takes the prem by storm, with another year on the clock he surely won't have many offers coming in, from prem teams. They'll get tubbed first game off Liverpool and second game against City, maybe then they'll hit the panic button and throw more cash at us, after that the window will be closing. Their current signings are over priced and inexperienced youngsters for the most part, they really ought to stop fannying about.

The main problem with Sigurdsson, for me anyway, is that he appears to be made out of pink wafers and it's never long before his next injury strikes. Never had a consistent run of games and ultimately has never got properly up to speed with the championship.

Likewise if it's true, as a player would Szmodics even want to play for a cash rich team (at present) that won't stump up that amount? Seems an odd story which I find hard to believe. Chaddy the parrot will of course say Alan Nixon has been correct with backroom stories this last few months, obviously.

Was starting to look all so familiar when they grabbed the equaliser. Fair play though JE, probably the best use of substitutes I can ever remember, wouldn't be surprised if its some sort of record 3 subs scoring like that! Worrying how we got caught out numerous times on set pieces, although credit to Derby they were very good on them, mixed them up and clearly practiced them rather a lot in training. Promising debuts all round which was pleasing, especially when you consider a few were new to the championship and none of them fully fit. Derby weren't great though it has to be said, but their set pieces will probably pick a few points up along the way. A bigger test awaits next league game.....
