  1. he's the young lad back left as you look at them i think- with a bit of a blue mohican.
  2. Just spoke to one of the girls who looks after the corporate side, who said rovers had sold almost 18,000 for tomorrow night. Thats better than i expected
  3. ggod luck and enjoy it- can you get the "is it a nonda" song on for the salzburg boys?
  4. if you read the posts you wouldnt have posted something as stupid as that. No one has ever said clapping the fans is what makes a captain. i will say it for the final time, its what they do ON & OFF the pitch. its not that hard to understand surely?
  5. rovers to finally break this curse, 2-1. nonda & benni. att: 16,320
  6. The point was if you had gone all the way to Austria, you at least (like every other fan who i spoke too out there agreed) would expect the players to thank you for your support. Its not too much to ask is it, especially from the capitain?!! The point which seems to have been missed is the club captain should be judged mainly on what he does ON the pitch, but also he is judged on what he does OFF it too.
  7. i know! As stated above, he is Sherwoods cousin but has repeatedly said even when we were pushing for the championship we couldnt fill the ground, and questions if we should be in the premiership. I have been listening for talk sport for years, but can't listen to that chump.
  8. Brazils breakfast show is the best on the radio- superb listening most of the time. the issue i have with talksport is Patrick Kinghorn- he has a go at Rovers any chance he gets! He says things such as "Blackburn isnt a football town". Now i simply turn over whenever that idiot is on.
  9. you obviously didn't make the trip? bum the fans? a captain should be judged on EVERYTHING, on the field and off it. They are an ambassador for the club, in all that they do. The least he could do was as you put it "wave to the fans". I would look upon it as thanking the people that have a large part in paying his wages. I will judge him on the field too- since he's been captain hes not recaptured the form from last year- on your argument Bret should be captain as he has been outstanding recently. Surely it should go to someone committed to the clause, not someone who is refusing to sign a new contract and who wanted to sign for liverpool?
  10. for me it is concrete- Kevin Davies. Fat, useless wast of time who didnt even try. Once met him up Cav on the lash, about an hour after he gave the worst centre forwards display i have ever seen against Newcastle in the cup (i think from memory we lost 1-0 and saha scored for them?) He really didnt give a s***. I mentioned how annoyed i was we had gone out the cup, he just shrugged his shoulders. Tosspot. other side thoughts- definately Matty Holmes, and what about Sven?!?!?!?
  11. Neil slumped down the tunnel at Salzburg immediately, and didnt even acknowledge the wonderful support of the 700 that had travelled- yes he may well of been angry about the second equaliser, but that was unacceptable. Savage, Tugay and Friedal all made the effort. Savage must get the armband for me, or Brad.
  12. Sounds good- the irish pub isnt ideal but is an obvious meeting place- on the rovers handout they show SHAMROCK rather than OMalleys- shall we say shamrock as the pub for wed night? (being an irish pub they will also probably be showing the utd v celtic game which i wouldnt mind watching with a cold beer in hand ) one more day to work- come on!
  13. unfortunately got a bad feeling about this one, 1-0 blades i just feel we have to score first if we are to get anything at all. but we will bounce back with a 2-1 win in Salzburg!
  14. that monastery looks good- probably more of a place during the day to get a few beers as it seems a real family place- i dont think they would appreciate a load of us lashed up singing rovers songs not that any of us will be
  15. just downloaded the rough gide to salzburg off the rovers website- on it it shows the shamrock pub and qoutes this is where the bars and pubs are in the old town. we are gona do a few local bars around the city when we arrive, but is anyone arranging a definate bar/time for the wednesday night? for everyone who's travelling... the guide states all supporters in the city centre need to make their way to the railway station and take train to taxham which is less than 1km from ground. (if you have a match ticket this is free)
  16. nice one- we are working on something special for the bottom quarter of our ribble valley blues flag- it should be appreciated greatly by fellow rovers fans!
  17. anyone taking any large flags? just for the record, we will be the ones with the St georges that has Ribble Valley Blues on it and the rovers crest getting excited now, cant wait for this
  18. just a guess but probably because of our play off defeat when we lost 3-0 in extra time after leading 3-1 from the first leg. To say there was some unbelievable decisions from the ref, George Courtney would be an understatment!! as for Kuqi- he has heart and will run and run- a decent player at championship level but i dont think any rovers fan could believe you paid 2.5 million for him after we got him on a free! 1 million would have been a bonus, but give our thanks to your chairman!
  19. I cant believe the percentage for getting rid of them has come down so much- the world has gone crazy
  20. we fly from Manchester at 7am to Munich, so probably be there around 10 ish their time? should be on train to salzburg around 11.30 ish i would have thought!
  21. what time does ticket office open on monday?
  22. i agree there should be no way that the official trip will get 700 on it- i am sure you are right and its just rovers trying to get people on it- if they did do that they would have 4 very angry season ticket holder here, plus every one else who is going independently. come on rovers- announce the ticket details asap please!
