  1. Utd have their fare share of injuries but Rovers facing a possible three pronged attack of Nistelrooy,Saha and Rooney fills me with bad tidings. A bridge too far tonight for us but I hope to god I'm wrong!
  2. And how can the people of Blackburn look to the Walker Trust for cash when they are not willing to go along to consume the product they are trying to provide? Shout it from the rooftops philipl!!!........although not too loud as some sensative souls who reside on here like to ignore reality and have a tendancy to become upset at any criticism of the gode olde Blackburne public Chin chin
  3. Hate to say this but I've never known a player like Bellamy to be injured so much. Great player but the fellas a physical wreck!!
  4. Agree entirely,we can barely scrape 18,000 for a local top flight derby game, its a vicious circle......great advertisement for possible outside investment NOT! P.S. Dingles v Nob End...... 17,000+
  5. Like our manager says 'outside investment'? Hate to say this but has Vinjay, annoying as he was, been vindicated to some extent in his claims?
  6. Dont agree there Roy, look at the backing Souness received in his tenure at Ewood.....upwards of 50 million! Problem is the club were stung very badly with some of the deals = 7 million for the walking disaster that was Grabbi, 7 million for the waster Ferguson, 7 million for Cole and then sold for a bag of chips!!!! the list goes on................ The club has a duty to itself to be financially careful these days but we are all, including the manager, uncertain as to whether that sort of financial clout is still available . . . . . . . . . WE'LL SOON FIND OUT EITHER WAY
  7. Brace yourselves folks!!
  8. The papers appear to be mountiing a concerted effort to completely balls up our chances in the world cup....can they not wait till after the tournament to spill their bilge and accusations? Are they getting backhanders from the Germans?.....the 'fifth column' are alive and well, the enemy within.
  9. He is alo out of contract in the summer. It doesn't need a rocket scientist to put 2 and 2 together and predict what will happen if the Board and Trustees don't give him a bit more support. You might be spot on there Rev,I got that impression a little in his article It would appear our board are now playing a dangerous game with Hughes being on a 'rolling contract'.......if a club comes a calling with silly money to spend?
  10. Hughes should be applauded for his honest and frank opinion......the man clearly wants success, lets hope the Ewood money men subscribe to his point of view.
  11. ''NEVER FELT MORE LIKE SINGING THE BLUES, THE ROVERS WIN, GEORDIES AND DINGLES LOSE, OHHHH ROVERS YOU GOT ME SINGING THE BLUES''!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. 1-0 Barcodes ......that man Shearer !
  13. "That will be because we will have 60,000 fans and we've got higher-priced tickets and more premium tickets than any other club in the UK." WOW! bully for the Arsenal ...is that really something to proudly boast about? GREED.
  14. I purchased a half season ticket for my niece to attend matches with me this season.I have on many other occasions paid for her friend to attend as well,I do as much as I can.I hope that satisfies your interest my friend. Whether you agree or not with my opinions or think my point of view is repetatative is a matter of personal choice and I respect that. I am NOT frightened to say things as I see them and will not shy away from what I believe to be fact on a subject that I feel passionately about and one that should concern us all greatly.I applaud and fully support the hard work being done by BRISA and its members BUT.................... I dont believe the folk of Blackburn are backing the club as much as they could,if that grinds with some and is too close to the bone then quite frankly tough shyte Everyone to their own,I'll leave it at that you'll no doubt be glad to hear . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
  15. Have matters deteriorated so much that now we have to let people in for free to watch East Lancashires only Premierleague club?....what a mess we are in! We have to face the stark reality that despite an improvement by the team our support has seen no improvement,we now sit bottom of the Prem attendance league table.
  16. The Bolton 'hard men'............'Hello mum!'
  17. Why dont Brisa members have a whip round to have the drummer shot.
  18. I dont condone violence but to put it simply the Bolton knobs found what they were looking for.....well done Riverside.
  19. Rovers were poor today, very frustrating against 10 men who were there for the taking that second half.If only we could afford that stiker from Porto!! Bit of argy bargy in the Riverside with a few either very brave or very stupid Bolton fans....first time I've seen trouble in the ground in a long while. 18,180 with about 1,300 from Notlob
  20. With todays 'local derby' only set to attract around 19,000 its going to be very close this bet of yours Gav!
  21. Spot on Jim! The fact is that we are the most successful 'town' football club in the UK,our history is one to be very proud of and the envy of some much bigger city clubs....it should be exploited and celebrated to the full at every opportunity.
  22. SURELY nothing to do with him playing for t' b'stards
  23. Utd certainly did dominate possession, they physically gave as much as they took last night. For me the difference in class was quite marked, the speed and trickery of Saha was a joy to watch and as for Ronaldo!....its the first time this season I have seen an opposition player simply waltz past 1,2, nay 3 of our players like they weren't there!! They kept Bellars shackled all night as as for Kuqi the less said the better Overall,Rovers did well on the night to hold out but they will be a hard nut to crack at OT.
  24. It's as if the sports editor (who supports Liverpool) is trying to wean locals off following Rovers and follow the big Manchester or Liverpool clubs. All his columns are geared towards Liverpool/Everton/United/City. Would we be talking about a certain Paul Plunkett Rev.....seems to have very little positive to say about Rovers? OH! for the good old days of the much missed Peter White **sigh**
  25. Here's one prediction that will come right....Ferhurst to make an absolute mint tonight!!!
