[Archived] 2005/6 Season Ticket Sales
AggyBlue replied to Mike Graham's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
This is something the club could solve. If each school party had 3 or 4 volunteer stewards to look after them for the day, meet them from the coach to putting them back on the coach after the game. It just needs a bit of thought and effort but I don't think the club can be bothered. -

I keep harping on about this. Why is it, that a lot of home games the Darwen upper is completely empty. This should be full of kids, even if tickets have to be given away to schools from around the county. -

There's just no excuses for the way they have fallen apart in the second half -

I've received one out of three season tickets and the season starts today. I phoned the ticket office and they assured me they had been posted last week. Light fingered thieving basket postal workers. I will receive replacements next week, unless some light fingered thieving basket postal worker nicks them. This is the second time my seaon tickets have gone awol. Light fingered thieving basket postal workers. -
Matty's goal at Notlob's Breezeblock, where he ran through, put the keeper on his backside with an outrageous dummy before chipping him will live with me forever. Off topic I know, but you got me thinking about Matty.

Sorry I forgot to consider all the miserable old grumpy's that do nothing but moan all through the match. -

Yeah, OK, fifteen quid was a bit pricey for a pre season friendly, but a quid a kid can't be bad can it? I took along my youngest lad and paid for three of his mates who'd never been to a 'proper' stadium before. Hopefully they'll remember their first match at Ewood and want to come back in later years. I feel all games should offer under 10's entry for a quid, build for the future and also fill up a lot of empty spaces now. -

Who cares ! You can't hear it from the bar in the BBE. With the suggestions put forward so far, I'm better off not hearing it. -

I think your Rothmans book might be wrong. 42000 was the capacity, although the ground hadn't changed since the Riverside stand was built, when the capacity was then muted to be 72000. The highest attendance being over 64000. -
Yes, we have many more fans than the pie eaters but how many are prepared to pay and watch games on a regular basis?

Do a double or quits for who finishes higher in the league, that should see you safe

I called at the ticket office on saturday to swap some seats around and got told I'd recieve the tickets during the first week in August. That's pushing it a bit close, the season starts in the second week. -
Why didn't you ask her who he's hoping to sign

Very enjoyable game. Bellamy showed his pace once or twice, had a couple of shots blocked and will feel he should have scored. He got pole axed by the keeper for the pen. Kuqi suprised me, after what I've read in here, I feared the worst. He played well, took his goal really well, thumped it past the keeper from the edge of the box. I feel he's going to put the wind up a few defences this season. OK, they scored two in the second half, but the defence we put out for the second period was very weak. Jansen did fine, Nelson was a rock. All players and staff seemed very relaxed, more than happy to spend time chatting and signing autographs after the game. Roll on the next, it's great to be up and runnung again. Where was the ' there's only one F in Shefki ' chant? Gate was 2700 pus a bit more. Didn't try the pies. -

It doesn't matter what numbers they wear, they're no longer team numbers, but squad numbers.

Looking at the fixtures, all the big games and derby home matches are after christmas. We'll probably do a roaring trade on half season tickets for the second half of the season. -

He'll be there until Shearer is ready to take over, my guess, next season.
