  1. I didn't really see what went on at the end but it seemed a bit heated. I think at the end Bellamy didn't get a decision from the linesman about a goalkick or something similar. Bellamy obviously said something and the linesman actually walked towards him looking furious before going back to his line. I'd prefer that to him waving his flag and getting Bellamy booked though. BTW good post drog.
  2. They're very interesting and helpful thankyou. I can't help but look at Bolton's fixtures and wonder where the wins are coming. I think they're well capable of losing several games soon. That would really really help us out.
  3. Launched on April 3rd it says. I think you have to buy your ticket duing April.
  4. There is a big page advert for it in the programme. I expect that existing s/t holders will be written to shortly or sent the season ticket packs.
  5. I never ever ever like playing Boro. We don't even have a terrible record against them, but I view them as a team like us - more than capable of beating anybody on their day. The fact that we won twice at the Riverside was amazing to me - perhaps I don't give us enough credit. Anyway, I think we'll draw. They have firepower and are in decent form. I'm astounded so many people think this is a given three points. In my eyes, this is very losable. 1-1 Bellamy Hasselbaink.
  6. I thought that. It's not like we played polo there or anything.
  7. But what are Rovers doing to actually make him read it SteB? Personally, I think they should be sending somebody round the houses to remind people to read the pack. It's just a bit bloody amateur at the moment.
  8. It's expected to be circa £400 isn't it? I can definitely see myself waiting until next summer before going for one.
  9. No doubt if that became the case then we would have problems. But, as has been discussed very recently, the average income the club gets from each seat is £13. The prices are NOT set to milk the average executive fan. I think that it is a slightly naive view that Blackburns attendences are down to "businessmen supporters" (for some reason portrayed as some kind of liability). This is clearly not the case.
  10. Dave's point was a rebuttal to the point that businessman were the ones watching football and this was the reason that the "real" football fan couldn't. With 10,000 spare seats in the ground per game, this can hardly be the case. Granted price can be a factor, but the point was that football fans who don't go to matches can't blame the men in suits who turn up if they have the chance to turn up too. Now, if we were at a ground that sold out every fortnight and a significant proportion was executive seats and the like, the point would be far more valid.
  11. I study English Lit at university. Am I throwing my life away?
  12. Rubbish performance from Rovers with everyone now expecting Brazilian football every time they step onto the pitch. Scabby draw.
  13. I didn't think that's what he budgeted for. As others have said, he has very publically told us we've been budgeted for 10th. So you completely made up the figure of 17th.
  14. Budgeted for 17th? Are you sure? Can you provide a link for that one? Because that isn't even close to what I've heard.
  15. Ditto. 8th being a disappointing final position? Well, shows how far we've come in such a short space of time. TBH, finishing ahead of Everton and Boro is almsot as important as final position.
  16. He certainly did. Volley from the edge of the area to put us 2-0 up.
  17. That's actually a very interesting graph, dillo dillo. The biggest jump made by a club in either direction was 3 places. It may very well be that last season was a bit odd, but usually there's always a huge leap from one club on the way up and one on the way down in the last 10 games of the season.
  18. Our away record is very similar to Arsenal's, Hughesy. Only one more defeat in the entire season?
  19. This is tremendous stuff. A few bad games at the start of the season and he is a liability who has had a purple patch of a season or two and just doesn't have the class to be a Premiership defender. Those who said that were far from in the minority, too. A few good games and he is one of the best defenders in the Premiership. He oozes class and his reading of the game is exceptional. Such a bargain, surely one of our better signings in recent years. From the same people. I'm glad we aren't Premiership managers.
  20. 20,000 x £13 = £260,000 24,000 x £11 = £264,000 Interestingly, the bigger the attendence goes up, the less successful that becomes.
  21. Yeah. Savage was jumping and pirouetting in front of him, and Lehmann flicked the bottle out at him a couple of times. Savage just laughed in his face. Quite how much water was in the bottle at all was debatable. When Rennie was ticking Lehmann off Bellamy had nicked it and was drinking it all!
