  1. We lose matches from the bench. Our first XI is ok (needs far more pace and size to be considered good), but our bench is always poor. Every week the opposition uses 5 subs - we only ever dare to make 3. Klopp would struggle to do anything with this squad.
  2. I'm neither for or against Eustace (I hope he's a roaring success), but anyone would struggle to get results with this squad. The second A. Wharton was sold and not remotely replaced we were on a hiding to nothing. I suspect that was the last straw for JDT and why he bought out of his contract.
  3. Why is it pathetic and small minded? The lad has been at Rovers since he was 12 years old and is looking forward to seeing old friends on his return (his words), yet he demanded the clause in his contract that allowed him to be sold for well under his market value. Why would I cheer him? He's shafted the club that I support. He couldn't wait to leave.
  4. Oooh, is he playing? At least I'll enjoy booing that rat tomorrow.
  5. Per that Athletic article posted the other day, yes.
  6. The worst part - JDT wasn't sacked. He resigned (and had to pay to get out of his contract) - that's how desperate he was to get away from this club.
  7. I'd rather be sold than sent into administration, if it's all the same to you.
  8. Eustace has played at least 3 formations already during his time here. He's clearly not wedded to a style of football (at least not one that I can make out). Right now it's backs-to-the-wall football. I gather at Kidderminster and Birmingham City (at least this season) it was much more progressive football.
  9. Again - Pears was equally as bad against Swansea (palmed a ball into the danger area for the first goal and dived out of the way of the second goal), yet for some reason people are burying Wahlstedt and not Pears. We need a new GK - that much is clear.
  10. So basically once the taps were turned off and the wage budget slashed by 20% our recruitment has suffered?
  11. Maybe when he's 35 and knackered.
  12. Only if we agree that Pears cost us 3 points against Swansea.
  13. I'm surprised he's not being criticised for the goal - he was loafing back there. Didn't even try to get his foot in to block the shot.
  14. They absolutely came for a point - they were time wasting from the off.
  15. I suspect he's quietly looking for a life raft out of this circus too.
  16. Carter, A. Wharton and Rankin-Costello will get poached.
  17. Pears was awful for both the goals on Saturday. He's not the messiah.
  18. It's a stupid move when you then sell A. Wharton later on in the window.
  19. I didn't want him to leave in the first place, but he's a man of ambition and integrity and he'd been lied to. He rightly jumped on the first life raft out of here.
  20. He's stopped the bleeding - we were losing every week under JDT. Sadly it won't be enough with the teams around us picking up wins.
  21. Until Waggott and the Venkys leave you're asking the wrong question.
  22. Again, absolutely no other teams for miles around - they have a massive catchment area.
  23. All three have reverted to type. Buckley has been caught in possession a few times - I'm amazed that he still dallies on the ball.
