  1. Wahlstedt? I haven't seen enough of him to give a definitive answer about how good he'll be - he obviously needs to work on how he handles crosses. That said, it's no coincidence that we've won 4 of the 6 Championship games he's started (and kept 2 clean sheets). He's significantly better than Pears and I don't understand how that's even a question.
  2. Be significantly better at football than he actually is?
  3. No, no, no. He's the new scapegoat - he'll never be good enough now. Getting behind a wicked, deflected shot isn't enough.
  4. It's so quiet there you can hear JDT shouting at his team.
  5. As I said on Wednesday, the comments exploded when Chelsea scored - a lot of the posters on here just love a good moan. It is what it is.
  6. Nah, this is great development for him - he needs to improve his off the ball work.
  7. You'd think a wine man would know that sometimes you need to give things time to develop - written off after 6 games, bloody hell.
  8. Red card for taking out the GK surely?
  9. Got the ball there - but that's Championship refs for you.
  10. That could be extended to about 80% of Broughton's signings.
  11. Because he's trying difficult passes to progress the play - comes with the territory.
  12. He has with the ball at his feet, but his off the ball work leaves a lot to be desired. So lackadaisical.
  13. Sutton clearly watches us play - it's not just lip service.
  14. They surely can't keep this pressure up all game - they're all over us.
  15. Oh is THAT who that was? Bloody hell he's aged poorly.
  16. That doesn't fit the model.
  17. That's always been my concern with Leonard - I think he's athletic enough to play as a lone striker (he's 5'11" I think?) and clearly has a very good footballing brain (his movement and link up play is very good for a 19/20 year old), but I do worry about his finishing. He should have scored today and realistically he should have taken one of his two chances against Swansea. I just don't see a natural finisher.
  18. Well that would certainly free up my Saturday afternoons.
  19. Garrett played a wonderful ball in behind for the Sigurdsson chance - he needs playing time to progress. With regards to Pickering, Johnson (the Nottingham Forest player... who I think they sold to Spurs?) absolutely abused him last year in the cup. He can't handle pace at all.
  20. He's just too slow to play out wide. He might have a career as a #10, but he won't get that opportunity here.
  21. I think we'd be a better team with him starting as a #10 (he's a much better footballer than Szmodics) - but unfortunately (for him) our only consistent source of goals plays at #10.
  22. That's just the gulf in quality between the PL and the Championship - they attract the best footballers who are also the best athletes.
  23. I'd genuinely stop using my season ticket.
