  1. He was offside - VAR (which is here today) would have ruled it out. Obviously in the regular season it's a coin flip whether the linesman sees that.
  2. Appreciate this reminder - I've just had those for lunch after going to the butchers.
  3. JDT's wife is a crafty bugger. Her husband couldn't win you over with his brand of football and his cheeky smile, but she's got you all eating out of her hand with the promise of a John Bull (whatever the hell that is!) on the menu.
  4. As I've said elsewhere, I have no sympathy for any other fans after what happened to us and how we were treated by the 'football community'. If they go under, so be it - Wigan Warriors get a nice deal on their own stadium.
  5. I'll still die on a hill that we have the worst owners in football, but I might be alone on that hill these days. There have been some absolute horrors turn in in recent years.
  6. Talk of Morton being used as a makeweight for a deal with Southampton for Lavia. Sound about right - clearly Liverpool aren't as daft as we'd hoped.
  7. Nah you can tell they're all really talented players - they're going to need a kick up the backside though. The new manager has got a task on his hands, but he has a wonderfully talented squad - still needs a striker, mind and they need to stop playing Gallagher upfront. I had to chuckle when Neville realised their best player is only on loan without an option to buy - that Felix is utterly brilliant. I wonder where he'll be next season.
  8. Lampard should never get another job in football management. This incredibly talented Chelsea team look like they met for the first time on the car park before the match.
  9. I take it all back - sack JDT.
  10. First bullet dodged. We're going to have to be like Neo this summer I'm afraid.
  11. I doubt he has all of his coaching badges either. Reims are paying a massive fine every game that Will Still manages because he doesn't have the required qualifications.
  12. Great player - remarkably he could have been better. Shame he was played so much, so young as it really shortened his career. That said he seems to be a poor - middling manager and his wife has come out and said he needs a minder, so I'll give him a miss, thanks.
  13. Broughton and his team taking charge of all the admin involved with transfers is about as comprehensive a change as you can have. He has no power to fire the Club Secretary, but he can sideline him.
  14. For actual fuck's sake - can we not have a decent manager for more than a year?! God we're a cursed club.
  15. Burnley had Barnes man marking him. The Championship already know how good he is - they just aren't good enough to get near him, which is why the 100 points accumulating champions resorted to kicking lumps out of him (and rotated who did it to share the yellow cards around).
  16. I mean technically he got the O'Brien deal done - it was Waggot and his pal who failed. With regards to 50% of the players signed by the end of June, that just adds weight to the argument that we'll be heavily involved in the free agent market. You have to get those players signed early.
  17. Why would we want him further up the pitch in our system? His ability to take the ball from the CBs and turn on it is priceless.
  18. I mean we do have a playing style, but I think the more pertinent question is do we have a Jansen / Duff / Dunn in this team?
  19. I think he's managed this game incredibly badly. Took off their CM who was making things tick and they've barely touched the ball since.
  20. Pretty much - it's his first Director of Football job (you have to start somewhere) and his first January transfer window. He tried to loan Undav and Kone in to solve the CF option and both fell through for different reasons (one player turned us down, the other had his club pull the plug at the last minute). Let's hope he's learned from the experience and doesn't make the same mistake again.
  21. I would happily take the lifetime stadium ban I'd get for rushing the dugout and throwing my season ticket at the bench.
  22. Don't act like that doesn't sound exactly how they operate - a quick phone call to someone they trust who is completely unqualified to make a judgement on the situation. Classic Venkys.
  23. Does that guy ever link us with positive news?
  24. I had one tell me they'd stop watching football if Everton went down - like they had a divine right to play in the top division. They've simply made up the numbers for 95% of their time in the Premier League, yet you'd think they're footballing royalty with the way their fans talk about themselves.
