  1. And we have taken off our main knockdown guy.
  2. Buckley was a stupid sub. Predictably fucked up every time he has touched the ball.
  3. Brittain being the best crosser at the club, I do wonder why he doesn't take our corners.
  4. What we should do with him is keep him here as backup.
  5. Agreed, it's definitely not Garrett's game, he's about energy and bustling and hustling. I think you can arguably have him there as long as Tronstad is also there to cover the rash moments, but I think it'd be a waste. Like you I think he can be a poor man's Travis and fill the gap for a bit. I'd rather that (and further cover for the season) than send him on loan again and risk the same shit happening when some team decides they don't want to risk a young player in a relegation/promotion fight or would rather promote their own players and use him as cheap backup. He's too good to be sitting on a League One bench, but the right standard to be sat on a Championship bench for me. (Yeh yeh, cue someone, think I know who, coming in to tell me they don't rate him and he's not League One level again, don't waste your time)
  6. Yeh I'd hoped he might kick on this season, but it's reached the point he's a big wage that needs shedding. Seems the type of player though that I won't be surprised if he has an impressive last 6 months if/when given the chance, because his contract is running down. Happy to let him go this Jan if there are takers.
  7. The most convincing argument I've ever seen for banning A.I.!
  8. The bigger issue than this blatant lie is - wtf have they done to our famous shirt in that terrible mockup?!?
  9. So Nyambe was wrong about being able to get a better contract elsewhere, but Brereton, Lenihan and Rothwell were all correct. Certainly sounds like we can't/won't pay the going rate for the most part.
  10. They do, but they're still not accepting a cut price fee. What they also have history of is holding out for their demands. They probably expect something like £2m plus in tribunal, and whether that's realistic or not they're not going to be accepting less than that, and we aren't paying that. Like you said, they want clubs to not lowball them, so, we won't be getting away with any lowballing, aka a cut price fee. They have no reason to take bids below what they believe they'll get at tribunal. Honestly, just forget about this one lads, at least until summer. Even if it was say £1.5 mill, which it won't be, it's too much of our puny budget for an injured player when we want to challenge for the playoffs.
  11. He isn't on a free transfer at the end of the season. Due to his age and offering him a new deal, Peterborough are due compensation. They're expecting it to be quite a lot, since they paid 'a substantial six figure fee' for him and turned down 3 million plus 3 million in add ons this summer allegedly. They believe they'll get 'millions and millions' at the tribunal. https://www.peterboroughtoday.co.uk/sport/football/peterborough-united/a-club-record-busting-contract-offer-wont-keep-kwame-poku-at-peterborough-united-4864216 There is no cut price deal to be had in January.
  12. Worth noting, Leeds have won 8 of their last 11 games, drawing 2 and losing 1. We are two of those games they've dropped points, including the defeat. All season they've dropped 23 points, and 5 of them were against us. We're more than a fifth of their dropped points all season.
  13. Currently fit are Batth, Hyam, McFadz. With Litherland in reserve. That is too light, yes. Once you add in Carter though, it's 4 senior centre backs for 2 positions and it's fine. Only Carter has had any injury of note this season. There have been 3 of the 4 available at all times this season I think? Or close to it. Throw in someone like James Hill and you're putting 2 from Batth, Carter and Hyam onto the bench from February, which is a silly waste of resources for a club with fuck all resources and a dire need to add goals.
  14. Isn't Carter due back in February? Unless we get another CB injury before then, I don't think it's a priority.
  15. It was me, and he still is. For starters, Vale is 23 and has 0 goals in 18 league games, with 2 goals in 25 total games. Even with loans to the National League, League One and Scotland, he has a grand career total of 4 league goals in 53 games. Leonard is still 21, with half of Vale's total for us just this season in a total of 16 minutes on the pitch before tonight. He notched 3 goals in 19 league games last season. That's one less than Vale's entire career with spells at 6 clubs. Leonard isn't filling half the Championship's defenders with nightmares yet, but he's a damned sight better than Jack fucking Vale. Who on top of his paltry goals haul is generally a lazy shit when he plays for us.
  16. I don't mind Farke, think he's alright. A good manager, and honest. Obviously Leeds are total scum though.
  17. We defended like Spartans today. I saw an interview with who I think was Leeds' assistant manager, and he said they didn't manage to dominate the game like they have the last few matches. And it made me think, I don't think anybody has dominated the game against us all season except Sheff U? We are a very hard side to play against, exceptionally organised at the back. I don't think we've been so well drilled since the Allardyce days. I wasn't a big Eustace fan last season, but now his style has taken hold it has made us a very tough proposition. As we all know, we just need a bit more up top and then we should be able to make the playoffs. The budget will be infuriatingly shit again of course, so we just have to hope we find some great bargains and finally get over the line.
  18. I can't imagine it will go down as a Gueye assist as it landed with a Leeds defender first, but he certainly made that happen. I'd say that negates his weird assist where he should've scored instead, and hopefully we can shut up about that one now when people discuss his assists tally. He is an unorthodox player and he certainly isn't a goal machine, but he does cause problems for opponents and makes things happen.
  19. Silly foul from Hedges, Gnonto was going nowhere.
  20. And their own manager has said (not that I agree with him) we could challenge for the top two!
  21. Think Gueye gets himself sent off today if he comes on too early. The baying crowd would get to him.
  22. Leeds fans are proper scum. Yuki is coming off in the 37th minute, he's obviously fucking injured (thanks to your player) not time wasting. Booing him is cretinous.
