  1. Yeah agree, definitely reasons to be hopefull, feeling Brennan from u23s could be the next one to break through, impressed every time I’ve seen him. If we sign both of these tomorrow, you have to say a decent window without having too much dosh to throw around.
  2. Oh dear, think you might be in the 1% on here, thinking as you do.
  3. Let’s hope you’re typing King scored a hat trick tonight, push the price up?
  4. Don’t remember Kaminsky,Ayala, and Douglas being here 4 years ago !!!
  5. Signed what seems a decent goalie for a fee, and also signed a young keeper with potential, signed a very capable and experienced centre back, after losing out on Kipre, which we would have paid near on a million, had the foresight to nip in for Dolan, and if we can loan Douglas or someone equally decent, I would think that’s not a bad window, anyone else a bonus.
  6. Waggy was quality, but always seemed to play better at home, Eamon Rogers another talented footballer but had a few issues.
  7. Amazing how you and the rest know there’s nothing going on regarding a new contract, love to know where you get the info.
  8. Quite a few on hear dismiss FFP not sure why, I know we are very close, possible saving grace is they might make it a 4 year rolling due to this pandemic. What’s the point on gambling we will get away with it because others have, others haven’t and if we end up up having a decent season, and then get a deduction of points it would be a disaster. Let us stick to the rules and others break them,,,
  9. A successful academy is not just for developing players to sell on at big prices it’s to get players playing for us, without us having to pay out big transfer fees. I know you don’t see the academy as a success, but I do, and to keep our category 1 status especially after dropping to league 1 is nothing short of a miracle, and I bet a lot of clubs would love to have our set up.
  10. If we manage to get 2 quality loan players in, you expect them to be in the match day 18, plus Lenihan , Dack, Travis, JRC and Evans, who would also expect to be in the 18, that would be a very decent squad. Obviously injures will play a part but would be interesting if most were fit who would actually start.
  11. Wondering why Wharton didn’t play for u23s yesterday after TM said he was, now know the reason.
  12. Unless you’ve mega money to throw at it you have to mix permanent transfers and loans. Watched the latest documentary on Leeds and when they failed to go up couple of seasons ago, they had to sell top players, and then filled in with some quality loans, and the following season it worked with promotion. If we can get in 2/3 decent loans to add to the squad, especially with Dack very close to fitness, think we will be alright, taking into consideration this very unusual year with COVID-19.
  13. Talk sport saying Josh King being touted to Spurs, also saying Man U could put a bid in.
  14. Went from high of 1,942 beginning of year to 580 at height of pandemic, recovered to1,052 couple of months ago, to its present around 1,300.
  15. Rovers are just 1 of 20 odd business’s they own, obviously this pandemic has affected them, with both India and UK badly hit.
  16. You’re not up to speed re Coved in India, if you would care to google it, you would find its one of the worst affected places in the world, Venkys shares took another hit recently, they will know exactly what’s going on in the UK, plus worrying about the other 20 odd businesss all round the world.
  17. See u/23s beat Blackpool today 3 1 behind closed doors.
  18. I think every Rovers fan wants the same, but you never seem to realise what an unusual season we are in. A major pandemic no one has seen before, looking like we were coming out of it and then, bang second wave, alert back to 4 and now no fans back in October. We have signed some decent players and fully expect to sign a L/B and back up goalie and if that’s it I’ll be satisfied. Its no good keep saying our owners are billionaires just get 5/6 in, we are in unprecedented times, and I’m still grateful we aren’t doing a Wigan, Bolton, Bury etc. Pretty certain there will be more clubs going to the wall this season. With a couple of additions we will have a decent squad, fully capable of competing with most of the clubs in this division.
  19. Good win, always great to score 5, but more than pleased to see a clean sheet. My big worry is the pitch, cut up again near the end, shouldn’t be doing that in September.
  20. Sharpe knows more than you think, the difference is, he won’t share info until the club say so, pretty standard for journalists on local papers, otherwise he wouldn’t get any info.
