Championship Season 2020 - 2021

Why is Magloire’s name not mentioned, better than Wharton and Carter IMO.
-
Pretty simple if we can’t afford them before the season starts we have to wait.As I’ve said Boro in same position but for some reason because it’s Warnock it’s ok for them.
-
Have we signed them this season, no, not sure if you’re aware that this season we are in a world wide pandemic, money is tight....
-
If we can’t sign players early for whatever reason we will have to wait, not Rovers fault the deadline day has moved, have you replied re why your top boss Warnock has only signed 1 so far, and they have lost a few more than Rovers, to save on wages.
-
If we have to wait to nearer the end of the window, so be it, nothing new happens every season, when we haven’t tons of dosh to throw around you have to wait until clubs/ players drop their demands.Just like other clubs have to, Preston Boro etc.
-
You do need to wait until the window closes before keep harping on about a weaker side.
-
Warnock keeps getting mentioned, so far signed 1 missed out on a couple, similar to us, but we get slaughtered. Boro are in a similar position to us, got rid of a few big earners and cannot just jump in and pay regardless these days. Boro will sign a few more nearer the deadline as I think we will, shame the deadline is way past the start of the season, think we have to judge middle of October how we’ve done in the market.
-
That might be a good theory to normal rational fans, but that won’t be many fans in reality.
-
Good stats.
-
You say we’ve no money, but blame Mowbray.
-
Yep ‘fraid so, I must be in the minority on here who thinks they had a genuine £900,000 bid for Kipre on the table but couldn’t give him £30,000 or so per week and premier league football.
-
I know what you mean, but also works if it keeps you up, we’ll never know but playing Carter etc instead of Tosin would we have gone down, extremely doubtful but you never know. Would obviously like a permanent C/b and l/b and it looks like we’ve been trying but struggling to get one over the line. Fingers crossed we get the additions shortly.
-
Very complex, transfers these days must be a nightmare to get them over the line, still think we are trying hard to get a few in, difficult with our budget.
-
Ha ha better late than never, took a while to get over the line, Sunderland fans don’t seem happy, after his first stint there, but think in league 1 he’ll bang a few goals in..
-
I know what you said, and all parties were allegedly serious, then along came a premier club and the rest is history. That’s how most transfers happen, player talks with club, seems over the line and then a club from a higher division comes in, and whoosh gone. Now everyone is saying we weren’t serious and we had no intention of paying near 1 mil, amazes me how all these know these things. Personally I prefer to wait to the end of the window and see where we are before making my mind up if we are serious buyers.
-
You’re against loan deals but praising Bristol City who have just loaned 2 players.
-
But you said the opposite,( saying if all parties agreed he should be here)Now you’re saying we should have walked away. I have no idea if we made a genuine £900,000 bid, the word was we did, not sure how people know that we didn’t, but trying to compete with a premier club in wages, there was only going to be one winner. If no one comes in after deadline you might be right, but I’m hopeful there will be 2/3 additions, especially c/b and l/b.
-
So if we were serious, we could outbid WBA re wages and sign him, we offered same transfer fee but couldn’t compete with a premier club wages, simple, nothing we could do, move on to the next one.
-
Silly comment, letting them go for free, Rovers pretty good record for renewing contracts, how on earth can you know if any talks have taken place. Contract talks work both ways the player and agent have to agree to talk beside the club, let’s see what happens, pretty obvious to me they will want to extend all of those contracts.
-
Know what you mean, but it was a good loan for us, same as Tosin was when we had no chance of signing him.
-
Why, did you think we would splash out 8 mil for a midfielder ?
-
Keep the faith ?
-
So what’s happened to the £900,000 we had lined up for Kipre?
