  1. I’m very sorry for boring you, and I will log in when I want, obviously not as much as you, super poster, there’s a few like you as well and you’ve always been tedious.
  2. Thank you for that, nice to know what’s going on at other clubs with fans.
  3. Very well researched, see you’re located in Ipswich, just out of interest what are the MB/ local rag messages saying about Ipswich’s poor start, personally thought they nabbed a decent gaffer in Hurst, didn’t last long, I know they gave big Mick plenty of stick, sometimes better the devil you know.
  4. Ok, let’s hope we carry on the good work, couple of decent signings in January, you never know, not the best window though in Jan, to get the best players but who knows, onwards and upwards.
  5. What you on about, you said you would have took 20th at the start of the season, what’s changed, same players from start of season, just saying as others are that expectations have changed like yours have, like I said, if we can get up this season, brilliant, it’s a bonus, realistically consolidation. Dont think you are taking into consideration of budgets, Rovers cannot compete with many of the teams who can splash the cash on wages, one of the reasons we didn’t get Marriott and others, not the transfer fee but the wages, don’t get me wrong I would love us to go up, but think we might have to wait a year or two.
  6. Yes I understand that, it’s debated before the game in the pub etc re the team as well as on the MB, I myself discuss it with others, but I don’t condemn the manager for picking the team, until after the game, and like Ive said if we get hammered he’s got it wrong give him stick, but on most occasions he gets it right, so why not wait till after the match. You have to admit some posters do say he’s got it wrong, lost the plot etc, before the game, can’t see the point until game is played.
  7. Yeah agree with you, when we got promoted most of us including the manager wanted consolidation in this league, don’t think many fans thought we would get promoted. I am not saying we couldn’t go up but I would be happy mid table this season, invest again in the next two windows and have good go at it next season, very similar to Sheffield United, who we seem to be following in their footsteps, promotion, consolidation and promotion, hopefully, but who knows, very difficult division with a lot of clubs with big budgets.
  8. If and probably that’s directed at me, if you read my post properly I don’t praise or criticise any team selection before the game, I wait until the match has been played and then discuss, if Mowbray was proved right or wrong, pretty simple really.
  9. Aye I’m still here! You’re right don’t need a bodyguard something we agree on, at the end of the day it’s results that count and we got a good point and in my opinion think we deserved 3. Ive explained why I don’t post every week at 2 05 after the team is announced because I don’t know the reasons why he drops him, bench someone else, etc, but Mowbray and his coaching staff do know why, is that so hard for you to understand, now if he picks a side you don’t agree with and we get hammered, yes give him stick after the game, but as I have said, most times he gets it right. Its the same on here when we go a goal down, sack the manager he’s useless etc, then when we score or go on to win he’s a hero, not my style to do that these days, went a goal down on Sat I was disappointed but knew we were playing good and fully expected to equalise. Like people on here keep saying, end of the day we are all Rovers supporters and keep saying 99% are behind Mowbray, that, I find disturbing because there is quite a lot on here who aren’t keen on him, like when I asked (Mercer) do you think Mowbray is a good manager, well he’s steadied the ship, he’s a steady Eddie but not the man to take us forward. Nobody blinks an eyelid when statements like that, he’s more than steadied the ship he has turned the club round, but anyone who thinks like that, like me, your mate Chaddy, and anyone else just seem to get slaughtered on here. Just glad we aren’t bottom of the league, be like hell on earth on here, take care everyone and let’s hope for 3 points on Saturday ?⚽️
  10. I don’t expect anyone to behave in the same way, just my personal views, and I don’t get frustrated but I think others do, everyone allowed an opinion.
  11. Do you actually read my posts? I’ve never actually said trust Mowbray, just thinking he’s doing a decent job, and you say if I disagree say why, I’ve said on numerous occasions why, mainly he knows and works with the players every day, knows who’s doing it in training, who’s carrying niggles, knows the opposition etc. Said all that earlier, and don’t say Im playing the victim, I have my views and you and others have different views, I’m not hounding anyone more the other way round.
  12. Here we go again, when Ive mentioned on here we need to get behind Mowbray, all I get back is 99% back him, certainly doesn’t seem the case, think you’ve hit the nail on the head re Matt Busby, quite a few are living in a time warp. When he was managing that’s what you did, best 11 same team every week, best team wins, times have changed and Mowbray luckily has moved on, along with a lot of other managers, Coyle etc haven’t, don’t think you and Mercer have as well, but we all have different opinions and that makes the world go round.
  13. I didn’t say I thought the team was wrong,I said he surprises us all, big difference but like I said he’s usually proved right, why should I post before the game when he knows better than me, now how does that confuse you, seen loads of comments before the game on here and also at the ground before the game thinking they all know better than the manager, but usually after the game they have changed their mind.
  14. Yeah you’ve told me Mowbray is a steady Eddie but not the man to take us forward, and you’re bulling up Coyle, the world has officially gone mad.
  15. Why am I on a message board to discuss Rovers, are you for real, very sorry for putting my view on here, I better stay off and leave it to you!!!! BTW just before I go, Coyle knows more than we do, that is very debatable, his idea of tactics was playing table tennis at Brockhall.
  16. Pretty clear why, we got a point should have been 3, think if we had gone 442 with 2 up top, we would have got beat, IMO of course, I just think Mowbray knows a lot more than me and most fans, he works 5/6 days a week with the players, he knows who’s doing it training, who’s carrying niggles, and crucially analysed the opposition who had done serious damage to most teams at home, like Ive said previously someone like Coyle who was useless compared to TM would have got beat, don’t think we will see a lot of games playing no strikers, but he will do what he thinks right depending on the opposition.
  17. He hasn’t started with no strikers before, I know he’s done near end of matches, and re he didn’t play for a point, did you go to the match better team all round and they have give some teams some good hidings at home this season, you obviously don’t agree with the manager, no problem with that, all a matter of opinions.
  18. Good post, but regarding not playing a striker think that’s the only game he’s done so don’t think it will be a regular occurrence. Like it or not TM is a complete different manager than the last one, thankfully, ok he does tinker every week with the team he picks, but to me he is a very astute manager, I, like a lot of fans see the team news at 2 00 on a Sat thinking, wow he’s dropped so a so, but unlike many fans never criticise him till the game is played, and more often than not he’s proved right. Going back to Coyle, he religiously played 4 4 2 every game not just at Rovers but all the teams he’s managed, he could never change to another system, the opposition must have been rubbing their hands playing us because they knew exactly how we were going to play and also which players were going to be used, and usually beat us. With TM nobody knows what system, players etc are going to play, he keeps his cards to his chest and gives nothing away, he can change to any system, different players etc and going back to yesterday’s game their manager wouldn’t have had a clue we were going to play that team, and it paid off got a point deserved 3. This not playing a striker is nothing new,a lot of the top clubs do it now and again, and it does work if done now and again, TM obviously saw what WBA were doing to most teams at home, except for last Wednesday, they were banging goals in for fun, but he didn’t set up for a point he wanted to win,and played well enough to, the only time they didn’t go for a goal was the last 15 mins for obvious reasons.
  19. Very true,we certainly weren’t going to score after Raya went off,but the effort unbelievable, like 11 Colin Hendrys, lol.
  20. Yeah agree re Conway, been a brilliant servant to the club, think we have better players now, Rothwell Palmer and like you say, stick Brereton in there, he’s quick and hopefully he’ll come off, still a big believer in the manager, and think eventually when the injuries calm down he will have a more settled side.
  21. Exactly, terrific game to watch, we might not have the best side in the league, but they are all diehards, think we deserved a win today.
  22. A little better news than at first thought, thanks for the update.
