  1. Totally disagree, like you said supporting a football club is very different to everything else, it’s in the blood, all this crap about superfan etc does my head in, nobody should wait to see who the manager is before committing because whoever it it is could be a success or a total failure. Ask Birdie if he’s waiting for a new manager before he renews, he’d look at you like you’re from a different planet. Like I’ve said before,Forest signed up Hughton thought what an appointment, turned out a disaster, got Cooper in everything turned found. All clubs are the same, a percentage who supports through thick and thin and the rest who thinks that they know which manager should be appointed before committing, at least I can say I’ve watched everything from bang average, crap and the sublime , not just jumped in different seasons when it’s going well..
  2. Why does everyone believe who’s in the frame because it’s said on here, no one has a clue we are going to appoint, let’s wait and see. And why it depends on who we get as manager before committing to a season ticket is crazy. The last 2 managers appointed were names out the blue.
  3. No, anyone who cares about Rovers SHOULD be buying a season ticket regardless of who the CEO is, or the the manager or indeed the owners, end of!!!!
  4. Top couple of inches, removed, been reseeded and already green, as per every season, difference this season is both goal mouths been stitched/weaved for harder wearing.
  5. Slaven Bilic anyone? Surprised his name never been mentioned, unless I missed it, currently out of work.
  6. So how do you define a manager you believe in, a big name who might not get it right or a rookie who might do it. We’ve no idea who can take us to the next level, must have been loads of Forest fans last year like you, waiting for a name manager before renewing and they got one in Hughton, disaster, sacked but they certainly got it right with Cooper. Cant see the point in waiting for a manager before renewing, you either renew or you don’t, because whoever it is you don’t know which way it’s going to go.
  7. Not sure there’s anyone to come through internally, but you’re right a decent DOF needed and a enthusiastic youngish coach and I wouldn’t be bothered if Johnson worked under him, he did a good job for the u/23s before moving up, but from what I could see had very little input on match days, fingers crossed, keep the faith😜
  8. The same Mick McCarthy you said last season would finish higher than TM, sacked, same with Warnock, sacked and Rovers would be flirting with relegation all season, didn’t happen, impossible to second guess this division and same with managers, a young rookie can take off or keep with a safer older manager, who knows, think I’d like to go down the young Manning route with a decent DOF.
  9. That’s true, albeit Bournemouth and Newcastle have only played there when playing Spurs while their new ground was being built.
  10. Could you actually tell me how long the process is to bring in a new manager, it takes as long as it takes. Main thing is to try and get the right manager in…
  11. QPR not yet appointed anyone, similar timeframe as Rovers, dingles sacked Dyche, quite a long time ago, still not appointed but looks like Kompany on his way. If we’d jumped in and got someone in a week they’d be saying too quick, think it’s on course for appointment beginning next week.
  12. Think you’ve misinterpreted it, I said the reason is pathetic, waiting to see who the manager is, no one knows, whoever is appointed that it will be a success or failure I always thought you support the club, not the manager or the owners…
  13. Can’t believe how many on here will rubbish the club in everything they do.Regarding the strip it’s the first time for years that most fans thought all 3 strips were excellent. We had a great sponsor and it certainly wasn’t Rovers fault they went down it was due to the pandemic..I’m convinced some on here can’t bring themselves to credit the club when they do something right due to their dislike of the owners/ management. We all know they have made some massive cock ups, but we are where we are. Same with getting a new manager there seems to loads on here saying they won’t get a season ticket if so and so gets the job, pathetic really, you back the club and if the manager turns out to be crap then use your voice to get rid, similar to Ince when he was appointed……
  14. Forest thought they knew what they wanted when Hughton came on board, didn’t work, besides a bit of skill getting a new manager in it’s also a bit of a lottery. Sometimes a good experienced name works and sometimes a young up and coming manager works. The main thing Rovers need to learn is not to go cheap like the Coyle appointment let’s hope they make a good decision..
  15. A little update on Lenihan, a mate of mine who works for Rovers was talking to Waggot last week trying to get any names re new manager but he wouldn’t give anything away, but he did say that Lenihan and his agent are happy with the contract/ money Rovers are offering but thinks he’s hanging on until the new manager is named. No mention of Nyambe..
  16. If it doesn’t come off with the supposedly bigger names, don’t be surprised if they go for Manning from MK Dons, heard definitely been interviewed and impressed..
  17. Probably hoping new manager in place and fans will renew, but hearing only 1 week extension..
  18. The lad from Rotherham not too shabby, Paul Warne, but he’s championship now.
  19. Pretty well agree with most of that, no one has a clue outside of the club, but saying we don’t know who’s doing the interviews, why should we know, there shouldn’t be communication re names until it’s done and dusted.
  20. Spoke to Venus Saturday night after the Birmingham game, and he said he was moving to pastures new..
