  1. Doesn't look like Armstrong and Chapman are happening if you take that sentence at face value then, although deep down I think we all knew they wouldn't happen anyway!
  2. I honestly don't think they did.
  3. Really glad Palmer is a season long loan though.
  4. Ryan Grant has just tweeted that nothing else is happening today. I really don't think the media department understood the "agent Bennett" thing did they?!
  5. I'm guessing that is because at the moment, he is a Middlesbrough and England footballer.
  6. Could one be Chapman... ?
  7. I imagine that will be to do with all the media, press conferences, interviews etc leading up to the first game of the season rather than any potential incomings. Apart from the ones that might come in on loan of course.
  8. As exciting as this could potentially be, its certainly not going to make our season. At least 3 permenent signings are needed on top of this.
  9. Certainly beats Rakeem Harper this time last year. Always said we should only be signing players like this if they are a genuine cut above what we already have.
  10. "Keeping there powder dry" is my guess as there wasn't any "value for money" signings out there. Predictable unfortunately.
  11. I'll be worried when Mowbray comes out with the generic, stock statement of "this is the best squad I have had since I have been here" that we have heard so many times before from previous managers, right before everything goes tits up.
  12. Agreed. Absolutely nothing has happened at this club in the last 8 years to even entertain something so unbelievable and silly. Oh.
  13. Corry Evans. I think it shows you exactly what sort of character/player he is when his only good games for the club were against the likes of Walsall & Peterbrough in the third division whilst we're charging for promotion. Awful player, and no wonder you never see him linked away. Salford City wouldn't even take him on.
  14. It's a lot easier/cheaper to build a good third division team rather than a good second division team these days. Venkys will never, ever make us competitive outside of the third division. It baffles me that people still cant see it.
  15. I think it's clear from Mowbrays comments after the lincoln game that theres nothing happening on the transfer front. Imagine saying in May that we would start the new season weaker than we ended the previous, even the most negative of folk wouldnt have had that.
  16. If it was the likes of Rotherham etc "outbidding" us for the likes of Maddison I would be concerned, but there is no evidence what so ever that we are even interested in Maddison, just pure speculation and people on here trying to add 2 & 2 together.
  17. I'm not sure it is in todays market. Even if he only just about hit double figures for us in each of the next couple of seasons, at his age and with his pure pace you could easily see us making three times that amount on him in 12/24 months.
  18. Yeah, but Venkys. No way are we spending £3m on one player, if that was the case I think we would have had the deal tied up by now.
  19. I think if we start the season with Evans & Samuel still bumbling around in the team we'll be in trouble. I really hope we start the season with Travis in the midfield, honestly think he has something. Looks like we're in desperate need of some attacking players to me.
  20. Thing is, we shouldn't really be scrapping around for loans at this stage of the window, we have another 6 weeks to worry about loans. The permanent window closes in around 3 weeks, they are the signings (if indeed there is any) that we should be looking to get over the line.
  21. Mowbray is talking about agents like this is his first season in management, surely by now he knows the score on that front and should know how to deal with them?
  22. The Brentford game on the August bank holiday weekend could be a good one to offer a ticket deal for.
  23. Waggott reckons tonights attendance will end up being around 13k, with only 3.5k "official" sales from Liverpool at the moment. http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/16363040.rovers-season-ticket-update-as-liverpool-sales-top-10000/?ref=mr&lp=2
  24. I'd say so, although I'd class 91-92 was a light blue when compared to what we usually have. I don't actually mind a light blue as it takes me to my childhood pretending to be Scott Sellars in the play ground, that sponser logo is horrible
