Yep, probably c8.5k by the time they go off sale. Pretty much what us ‘know nothings’ on here have been saying for weeks. So we will scramble to what we finished last season with. And that’s with some good vibes re JDT. Thank Christ TM’s contract happened to run out in 2022 and not 2023 or sales would have been truly horrific. Two season in a row now we have had tickets ranging from £400 to £530, and both times we are hitting an 8.5k ceiling, and it took a charge to the automatics last season, JDT coming on board bringing a bit of momentum this time to even to get to that pitifully low number. Another total failure, and we are now a club that has, in the case of Blackpool, stayed par with, and has fallen thousands of ST holders behind Burnley, PNE and Bolton - imagine saying that the day this lot bought BRFC. At a functioning club, the CEO would be on a call with the owner this morning having to explain himself, or just clearing his desk. Here? 🤷♂️ ‘We did all we can’.

Radio Rovers - 1404 AM - A look back
Mattyblue replied to SuperBrfc's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
We ‘thought big’ in many areas, a truly innovative club. Be it RR, RoverVision, the Blues Bar, club lounges, town centre shop and cafe and so on. We also had a network of supporters groups across the area. I could go on and on. Now, unlike the likes of Darwen FC and Clitheroe, we don’t even have a match day programme, and seemingly can’t keep the estate free of weeds. These owners don’t half throw in a lot of cash, and have such a ramshackle, small time operation to show for it. -
So they’ve lost two (and how many more?) long standing ST holders there due to their own incompetence. I honestly don’t know if there is a club out there so commercially inept. But still ‘things are much better’, so that’s a relief.
-
I think that’s how they initially spun it, I.e if a non existing ST holder had bought your seat, they’d be turfed out and found somewhere else, but I don’t think that was actually the case. This is what happens when you farcically rip up your own policy in the middle of the sales period and try and reinstate a claim your seat deadline after other people have had chance to claim it! Complete shambles from day one.

Transfer Window - COMPLETE. Where’s Gregg?
Mattyblue replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Not really, as you always ignore the root cause. The likes of TM and Swag only plod on year after year because the owners pay them handsomely to do so, end of. They only make a mess because of the owners, end of. But with you, you make out that the owners are at the mercy of rogue employees and they are as helpless as we are, merely spectators hiding behind a Pune sofa. It’s their negligence, it’s their mess, it’s their decimated ST base, it’s their rump of a club. -

Players are counting zeros on a contract when making a decision who to sign for, not counting how many FA Cups each side has… -

Of course it is, but if they repeatedly fail to do so, what should happen to them? -

TM only left because his contract happened to have run out, Swag, despite his colossal incompetence year after year, is still here. I think I know where the negligence at this club emanates from… -
Still waiting for an explanation to why potential new or returning fans have to pay more for the same product. Complete opposite to how every other business in the history of commerce tries to build a customer base…
-
Err Ok. Thanks for that. But plenty of those will bring around 2k, some substantially more, so they will be set as Cat A games, so as a knock on, expensive and a barrier to attendance for our fans.
-
STs are in the ball park of last seasons prices, so I imagine match tickets will follow. So £32-£36 Cat A for any game against a team expected to fetch 2,000+
-
I’m talking about home fans. As an away fan, going to Turf Moor will end up being a full day job for a game down the road. Frog marched to the turnstiles, kept on coaches, kept in the ground. Massive disruption for any away fan. As a home fan, early kick off aside (Sky will probably pick it anyway, that’s life), my day won’t be impacted one bit. Ok, £32 to £36. Ergo a shed load of empty seats for what has a reputation as an arch rivalry.
-
They are looking after their colleague. What do your think they are going to say to the media? ‘He’s not up to it, Athers’.
-
Well obviously kick off times, but they get changed all the time, Sky are very likely to pick this anyway. I’m more talking about the absolute palava that away fans have to go through. Home fans can just go about their usual routine, usual parking etc.
-
Of course, we saw last season that floating fans will pay Cat A in decent numbers if the team is flying. But even if so, with only say c8k ST holders and that lot presumably restricted to 5k like previous years, you are going to have to flog a lot of £35+ tickets to even get past 20k.
-
In what way does the police operation impact home fans? £40 tickets is what will ensure a relatively low home turnout at Ewood.
-
You kept saying everybody was wrong the other week when we said he didn’t have the technique to open the batting. Of course he isn’t a Test opener, and I actually feel for him, looked at all at sea at Headingley.
-
Empty seats galore, and casual football fans everywhere… ‘thought this was supposed to be a massive derby? 🤷♂️‘
-
Good to know that this fella and Darren are two of the main fan conduits with Swag 🤦♂️

Great, so with a new manager in situ, obviously that means the cash will flow from now on then… -

What’s the issue in discussing contracts in a transfer threads? It obviously relates to the playing budget, so is relevant. -
Owners that have to be talked into delaying a thirty quid rise in ST prices, but seem totally sanguine with letting millions of pounds worth of players walk out the door…

No, facts are facts, a proven truth, and as you have no actual insight into what occurred with that signing, your *opinion* is no more a fact than those saying that he was a jobs for the boys signing. -

If Pickering and bloody Edun are pushing 10k a week then this new fabled wage structure looks to be built on dubious foundations already. -

Diaz is on substantially less than Pickering and Edun? Two nondescript young lads brought in from the lower leagues. Hmmm. But obviously a totally legit site to have accurate salaries of every player in the division.
