Makes perfect sense to me. Rudy is ‘the club’ as he works there. Travis, JE left it, so are no longer the club. The Club must be defended at all costs. Classic tribal loyalty… endearing in a way, unfortunately these fans have never remembered the famous Bobby Robson quote that ‘WE, the fans’ are the club, its gatekeepers. Just because individuals, could be nefarious individuals, could be incompetent ones, happen to wear club ties they get full throated support.

I’ll be fair to Chaddy. I presume he thinks these owners should be doing far more (and I don’t just mean sponsorship deals) to provide a competitive budget that will see us at the top end of the league. But they don’t and this is the budget the likes of Gestede have to work with, not that he’s actually happy with this budget.

Irony being the Riverside is the only stand that’s actually got more bums on seats in it this season.

I’ll take your word on that as generally I ignore manager interviews, I made an exception for JDT as his charisma and intelligence shone through.
