  1. Did they agree on a mid July date for the next one? I want to read them crowing about ‘heading towards 9,000 season tickets sold’, ‘larger revenue than Preston!’
  2. No think that’s it this time, no ‘phase 3’ where it would be a grand for the front row of the Blackburn End.
  3. I imagine a Cat B ticket in the JWU will be around £27. But still, if the alternative is £500, when you know you’ll miss 4/5, and who knows that bitterly cold midwinter midweek too, maybe NYD, maybe one of the half dozen that will kick off at half 12 etc etc. Getting to the stage for most fans now (unless you are the uber fan that has no other commitments, social occasions, holidays, weekends away and so on between August and May every year) that you need to think, putting to one side that you like ‘your seat’, is it worth my while shelling out?
  4. You said that wouldn’t impact match goers, nobody said that it is coming in now - fair enough if you misread GHD’s post.
  5. So get a better CEO in than Swag and a few more press releases on egg letter headed paper and we’re happy.
  6. Won’t be us and that’s the problem. Terrible ownership often ends just like we are seeing at Sheff Wed (see also Reading in recent times), but the apt word is ‘ends’. Here, I only forsee us limping on, zombie style, but with ‘the lights on’ for ever and a day.
  7. A break in play for adverts obviously would impact match day supporters.
  8. Surely January and February are the most depressing months of the year, no?
  9. …because of the idiotic, passionless Walkers.
  10. ‘All players chosen to play for the club will receive official 25/26 Blackburn Rovers training, travel and match day kit.’ Good to know as if they had to buy their own there probably wouldn’t be any left by the end of August…
  11. To rinse the Everton young support, they’ve no interest in attracting ours.
  12. This thread is classic brfcs, page after page over semantics and dictionary definitions. End of the day would a committed owner that wanted the best for Blackburn Rovers work within the judicial framework they’ve been placed in and still properly fund the club? Yes, but as they don’t want the best for Blackburn Rovers, they won’t, but at least now they have legalities to hide behind.
  13. ‘In-Depth’ on RoversTV? The impediment is over!
  14. Attitude, simple as that. Had it on a plate since being about 8 years old. Compare and contrast to a Szmodics who’s grafted his way to a good career (and the financial rewards that go with it). JB will drift down the leagues and at 35 may actually have some regrets.
  15. Nice attempted deflection but we are talking about two EFL clubs.
  16. If you now ‘support’ another EFL club you were never a proper Rovers fan in the first place.
  17. Previous levels without a doubt, the boom in crowds across football coupled with the scale and profile of the PL (that has gone up a fair few levels since 2012) means we’d do that no problem.
  18. What’s your point? End of the day Ewood was re-built for a club at the top of the Premier League. We will never, ever fill it completely (so say 28,000 home fans with 3k away) with our own fans week in week out even if we ended back in the top flight. The fanbase isn’t big enough. So if it takes a ticket offer to do it, so what?
  19. We haven’t re-signed a first team player on a long term deal for what, two years now? So use that thing called *logic*, Chaddy. We obviously can’t or won’t pay the going rate for our established Championship players.
  20. I’m not saying you think those things, I’m talking generally about a large chunk of the fanbase. Have a look at half the PL, I’m not besmirching those clubs, my point is there’s no reason our ambitions shouldn’t be to join them - especially as on the pitch we’ve done very well all things considered the past few years, we really haven’t been far away. Fifteen years of relatively low crowds (due to the owners) and no ambition (due to the owners) has led far too many fans to think that is just how it is - new custodians could put a rocket under this club and those same fans would soon be jettisoning those previous views about little old Rovers.
  21. It’s partially true for any club outside 7 or 8 post the 1960s. But any Rovers ‘fan’ that meekly accepts this is as good as it can be for BRFC when half the top flight are clubs like Bournemouth and Brentford are no fans at all.
  22. Yet all you hear from a sizeable chunk of the fanbase is ‘small club’, ‘only ever up there because of Jack’, ‘crap crowds in the mid 80s’, ‘be grateful for Venky’s’
  23. You’re a memorable poster, what can I say!
  24. You still here? Yes, I.e there’s no issue in us buying £7million young players as they’ll be on peanuts.
