  1. So it wouldn’t have been good PR regardless.
  2. Explain how what happened could have ended up as good PR?
  3. Will it make a difference to the club? Nah. Not really. Will it make a difference to me seeing that leech miss out on pocketing hundreds of thousand more in ill gotten gains whilst swanning around in a club tie… yes, yes it will.
  4. Yeah poor comms with stakeholders ( 🚨 ) is the issue.
  5. Still banging on about ‘communication’ and seemingly put out that Steve didn’t give them a bell first. The committee needs to get a grip of its priorities, and quick.
  6. All rational thought says this can’t go on, indeed it wouldn’t anywhere else. So I get why folk think we’ve reached some kind of end game - ‘once the Sammie and Wharton money has gone’ ‘they’ll be gone in 12 months’ etc. Alas they won’t have. We’ve somehow stumbled across the most intransigent set of owners in football. I rue the day the Walkers sold this club and Jack down the river, all for a relative pittance.
  7. Thank god for the NIMBYs of the Ribble Valley taking a stand against the housing plan … as our fanbase wouldn’t have.
  8. The owners have absolutely no interest in Blackburn Rovers, none - the history, the heritage, the drive to operate at the very highest level they can, the 'community' of a football club half way round the world they haven't even bothered gracing with their presence for a decade, means what to them? So using the justification of yesterday; By transitioning into a lower tier, the club can continue to support competitive football in a structure that is community-based and financially viable In their minds why not for the club as a whole?
  9. From ‘Think Big’ to a voluntary relegation to ‘community’ (i.e amateur) leagues to save a few hundred grand.
  10. A scrambled goal by David Goodwille on the way to relegation a fitting conclusion to our gracing of Goodison Park.
  11. The late season run out of nowhere also helped. Their luck will run out at some point… though not sure there will be any particular consequences of that. Shrugs of shoulders all round! 🤷‍♂️
  12. ‘Only have 8,000 ST holders, good thing the club transitions away from a Cat 1 academy as it costs £2million’.
  13. Voluntarily relegating yourself. The kind of thing you see at fourth tier rugby because it’s too much travel and expense for an amateur operation. But the absolute antithesis of professional sport.
  14. I suppose with price hikes in the BEnd/JW and for kids tickets if we limp to 8,500 they probably won’t be too far off last year’s revenue… bonuses all round! 🍾
  15. So the stand nobody sees is slightly fuller, but at a cheaper price, and we now have a substantially emptier JW and BEnd... with an overall reduction of bums on seats (as they'll now do well to get close to the 9,100 we sold last summer at these phase 2 prices) *and* revenue. Takes some doing that from the Regime Brains Trust. 👏
  16. Had a look at a Leyton Orient forum. ‘Decent feet, pushed off the ball a bit easy’… not sure he’s found League 1 all that comfortable either.
  17. Did I say it was? I do enjoy when you do your Mr Pedantic routine but actually strengthen the other person’s point. 👌
  18. 57 points, worst return in 15 years. But yeah, get them down, he was about to turn a corner, you know!
  19. Oversaw their worst season in fifteen years… ‘Harshly sacked and needed more time’… spot the over-corrector 😅
  20. Hang on a minute, thought Markanday, as the better player, was going to be the Dolan replacement?
  21. Yeah like the social media team weren’t putting up stuff from ‘the boss’/‘the gaffer’ in the run up to an official approach from Derby…
  22. Obviously not ‘a fact’, is it, just Eddie’s opinion. It’s a thread on a message board with a few dozen regular posters. It’s akin to a few folk in a pub having a chat.. and guess what in the pubs around Wilpshire the smalltime folk will have a chat about Adam Wharton.
  23. He obviously hasn’t resigned… but guess what a three day old tweet of a quote from weeks ago means bugger all.
  24. Going on holiday to Spain and coming home with a Barca shirt is standard 12 year old behaviour (often a knock off one from a market stall 😄). But a Crystal Palace shirt? Hmm…
