  1. Temp staff, often youngsters doing a Saturday job… and they are being charged £15 to park on their workplace carpark?! Cheers, Tony, new day, new snippet of farce emanating from the regime.
  2. ‘When you're 2-0 down after seven minutes, tactics don't come into it’
  3. I thought Sodexho was responsible for Blues too… as that certainly was how Swag et al tried to avoid responsibility for the Liverpool Legends night held in there. ’We knew nothing about it, honest, we’ve outsourced’.
  4. It’s the kind of thing that would even raise your eyebrow if you heard about it at a Darwen or Clitheroe FC. I mean, Blackburn Rovers and it can’t even pay the Sky bill… everything Jack built and we are now back to Bobby Saxton fishing the spare balls out the River Darwen levels… yet with billionaire owners.
  5. Presumably when they went to cancel, Sky did their customary price drop offer… and said offer was still too expensive 😬
  6. Never made clear what we are actually transitioning to… apart from the lower leagues.
  7. What’s your view on our owners, Parson? (That’s our owners, not other clubs’).
  8. I’d spotted on Twitter that Jackson had been tweeted to re the Blues Bar issue. Now, maybe I’ve watched too many films, but surely any journo worth his salt will be thinking - ‘Club that almost got in the PL play offs less than four months ago has voluntarily relegated it’s women’s side to playing clubs that sound like Soccerdome five a side teams, now they don’t even have Sky Sports showing in their, err, sports bar… there’s a thread here.
  9. Presume they mean the Iley era and other grumbles against Bancroft et al... not exactly the first scene of Gladiator, was it.
  10. Yep, if the NFL about to implode? Of course not, and neither is the Premier League... what future the wider pyramid has is another issue.
  11. No chance young Merce was on the pitch, he’d have been well ensconced in the Nuttall Street or Riverside upper tier.
  12. Good job scouts don’t turn up for the last fifteen minutes.
  13. Lots more TV games as the clubs (but in the end the players and agents ) wanted more cash. Yep, all agreed. But seven games at half 12 on a Saturday, why? (No deflections please, specifically answer the question about seven games at half 12).
  14. Guess what our wages will be higher than turnover in League One too… presumably we shouldn’t expect to compete there either.
  15. They ‘do it for the fans’. Ahhh, that’s nice of them.
  16. Ask any Rovers fan why they are here, nobody has a clue.
  17. There is a report on the website ‘Reflecting on the match, new Rovers head coach James Mallett said: “I am incredibly proud of the team.Considering we’ve only had three sessions together and one friendly in just 15 days’ Sounds like something out of the newsletter of Lammack Juniors or whoever, not a side that was one promotion away from the Women’s Super League a few months ago… and that’s me doing a disservice to the organisation of Lammack Juniors.
  18. I’m not knocking the NFL (not my cup of tea, but each to their own). But obviously the disingenuous way Sky are advertising these extra games is on the back of the NFL ‘red zone’ or whatever it’s called.
  19. He knows it isn’t, he’s operated at this level long enough. Certainly don’t expect any ‘ask Steve Suhail’ from this mon, he knows exactly what he’s signed up to.
  20. No we’ve got loads somebody was saying… don’t want to stockpile, not enough whistles to go round! Can get the coaches doing physio too, why not.
  21. A problem a lot of other club fans have is that they project their experiences on ours. Which is fair enough as any normal (I.e they face economic reality in the end) owner, with good intentions or nefarious would’ve given up the ghost by now. Sheff Wed will be rid of theirs in the medium term. As were Birmingham, as were Cov, as were Reading. This lot however, don’t seem to care about the economics, or football, or abuse. Nothing.
  22. The only difficult and strange place to operate in is Blackburn Rovers.
  23. No I don’t underestimate them. I’ve seen them for fifteen years. There is no stomach for it with the majority of the match going fanbase. Doesn’t mean the likes of Glen won’t get traction elsewhere, but you need to face facts when it comes to the Ewood attendees. If we are ticking over results wise you’ll see bugger all dissent apart from a few ‘Venky’s don’t care about me’ chants and an odd banner. Even if we aren’t ticking over, a managerial change, a run of results out of the blue will quickly stub out dissent. Wish it was different, but it just isn’t and I’m dealing with reality not what we’d like to see. (*Though feel free to quote me with glee in November or whatever when you see weekly Sheff Wed style uprisings,I’d be delighted to eat humble pie, but I sincerely doubt it).
