  1. How these players actually perform through a season will be the judge. I can’t judge one way or another right now as I don’t know enough about them. I believe he’s a bit of a prick around the place, obviously a Suhail man, but it is what it is. He wouldn’t be near the club under a normal regime… but we aren’t one so you have to expect under qualified/inexperienced individuals to be employed here and all you can do is they quickly learn on the job and hope for the best.
  2. I don’t abuse him, good luck to him in his career - I just use him as a neat symbol of the Pep-isation of the game and how football is all the poorer for it.
  3. I’d say the po faced, ‘we are different’ mentality of LFC fans, plus just as many glory hunters (though they always seem to avoid the ‘they all come from London’ tag) has them just as high on my list as Man Utd.
  4. End of the day those that were ‘pro’ Dolan on here merely said he was no world beater but just a decent Championship player and would have no problem getting a decent move. The ‘anti’ Dolan posters said he was crap, a few said he would end up in League 1. The ‘pros’ were always right, not because they were a set of sages, but because it should’ve been blatantly obvious to anybody they watches a fair amount of Championship level football.
  5. English League 1 standard, obviously.
  6. He’s on a rolling contract too, so not exactly a financial issue either to pot him if necessary.
  7. We’ve no idea if their owners are loyal as they’ve strolled up from non league on huge budgets, so they haven’t had to make those decisions. They struggle this season and that’s a different conversation.
  8. Only four parachute clubs in the league this season and even putting Sheff Utd aside and it’s early days, but initial thoughts, the relegated three look like they might not be as strong as some years. Owners across the Championship will be thinking we’ve a decent sniff this year … of course, the owners of Blackburn Rovers won’t be thinking said thing.
  9. Time will tell, won’t it. If it’s the making of him then fantastic.. but there’s a reason why a quality footballer (in his peak years) like him is here as he’s had a few false dawns in his career.
  10. Posters that can’t debate.
  11. Do you agree with Mani, Chaddy, that the club is now set up for managed decline?
  12. To me Cantwell is unsuited to being in a leadership position at a Championship club, BRFC has a lot of such individuals … so of course he gets to be captain, not exactly a difficult prediction
  13. Yeah it’s me that’s dug myself into a hole over the Wharton fee.
  14. Obviously the bar/pub pricing is not cheap enough for Suhail’s liking.
  15. Yes, all fans have a choice and as Millwall will bring about 300 their choice will have been not to come… but hey, there’s 7 games on the red button, so who cares about the two thirds empty ground.
  16. Most Millwall fans live in the outer London boroughs these days (likes of Bromley) and into Kent, an absolute faff trying to get to Blackburn for half 12… still, just get a hotel ay.
  17. How does being the 7th game kicking off at half 12 buried through the red button give you ‘exposure’? That’s no material difference than a midweek being behind the red button, I don’t recall ‘exposure’ being the buzzword then. So no actual rationale but just parroting EFL/Sky PR, sounds about right.
  18. Nope, you have still never explained the rationale for seven games at half 12 (the clubs wanting more cash is why the deal itself was signed, that’s not an explanation to the seven games at half 12, so please can you answer that directly and not do your usual routine of deflection and tangents).
  19. Not smiling with his teeth showing either… 👀
  20. It was a bar full of historic Rovers pictures until the club/Sodexho removed the vast majority… presumably because they ruin the aesthetic for Liverpool Legends nights.
  21. His BS won’t cut much ice up there https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/crlz4y36jwko
  22. On what grounds is it acceptable that a member of staff who joins, say, a month later than somebody else has to pay to park on their work car park? Can't even imagine what the morale must be like at all levels of the club.
  23. And still half the fanbase would applaud it: 'Do you how much Sky costs?' 'Do you know how much food gets wasted every game?' 'Why shouldn't staff pay for parking, even nurses do at hospitals'
  24. He’ll dazzle many a club hierarchy with this claptrap. Smart lad.
