  1. Be interesting to know how he is going to approach training over the next week. After a humongous effort over 120 minutes straight into two massive games on Saturday/Tuesday with a horrendous coach trip to Swansea thrown in. Minimal exertion and work on the tactical side you’d think… flying to south Wales too would help, but considering they won’t even pay the M6 Toll far more chance of 🐖 flying.
  2. Ignore him, arbito. Make up something negative about brfcs-ers for a reaction has been 1864’s style ever since he made a fool of himself on here post the Ewood Coffee Club. Don’t feed…
  3. 2023/24: Steve Waggott, Blackburn Rovers Chief Executive, said: “We are delighted to welcome BetUK on board as our sleeve sponsors
  4. Not sure half the folk anonymously coming out with all kinds of tripe on here would repeat it in public.
  5. This place? Of course, everyone gets pelters. But I can’t recall the actual crowd getting on his back, which is all that matters..
  6. It isn’t. We struggle to compete because of our ‘small gates’ and we are a ‘small club these days’… neither of those things have anything to do with the owners, of course.
  7. To be fair Branthwaite was 18 when he was here, very young for a centre half to be chucked into a Championship first team, but he physically looked the part if nothing else, every chance he was going to develop.
  8. I suppose these legal shenanigans gives us a glimmer that we may, at some point, at an unspecified time in the future be rid of them. Without it I think their ownership would outlive me.
  9. Can’t agree. If Pears had not got injured my view is the December onwards collapse would not have been as severe. Defences operate on confidence and ours fell to pieces from Sheff Wed onwards and a major part of that was the bloke behind them’s game ending up in tatters, due to his hesitancy, inability to, you know, catch the ball and all manner of howlers. And I say that as someone who thinks Pears is bang average at best, but that fella was another level.
  10. Talking to a lad yesterday who knows his mum and dad, he was saying they’ve moved down there with him as he’s a real home bird who didn’t want to go…
  11. Not happening, the tide has turned again judging on yesterday. The odd anti-Waggott chant which was either joined in with or ignored by the folk around me the other week was this time met with ‘shut the fuck up and get behind the team!’ So as a few of us predicted a timely managerial change has nipped a burgeoning groundswell in the bud - Swag and Suhail do the exact job these owners pay them for.
  12. It was all a bit lame. But hey ho, suppose it shows where we are.
  13. It was definitely patchier, loads of ST holders around me didn’t trap and it looked like it too from the highlights. Heading into March with one Saturday home win since October will do that. Next season’s sales are going to be grim.
  14. Dingle Derangement Syndrome, we saw evidence of that yesterday with pretty much every chant based on Dingles and former Dingles. We are getting as small time as we used to take the piss out of them for being.
  15. If we’d have sold him for c1million, we’d have replaced him with nobody, maybe some other 20 year old from Brighton’s academy on loan. So every chance our collapse down the table would be even more severe. The lad is a solid Championship striker, and let’s be honest, as limited as he is when he does go he won’t be replaced with anything as good.
  16. You said he should have been sacked last season, which is a daft opinion (that you are of course entitled to, just as I’m entitled to call it daft) considering it was a good season for the club in league and cup, especially when you consider our resources and dysfunctional set up. Nobody would disagree that the club needed to make a change in the end. Maybe earlier, but this club doesn’t do such things.
  17. He should have been sacked last season? Missed out on the play offs on goal difference (highest finish in a decade) and two good cup runs? Behave, Waggy.
  18. Pears on a long contract, so a nice profit there. No problem, sure there are loads of Scandinavian keeper gems we can find with some of that (the rest can pay the leccy bill for July).
  19. Jack Walker looks ok. I imagine both the JW and BEnd Lower will look fairly full by KO, as will the Darwen End, so job done for Swag when it comes to camera facing areas. End of the day with the club in this low ebb we are not suddenly going to see a massive turn out for a BBC1 midweek against a mid table PL side.
  20. Did make me laugh today when one of the 47 Dingle related chants was ‘Siggy, knock him out!’. Couldn’t knock the skin off a rice pudding, that one.
  21. Pickering on more than Gallagher and on double of Hedges, aye ok.
  22. The club has no issue with that, look at Buckley and Travis for evidence.
  23. ‘After the nuclear war there was only one survivor… and his name was David Lowe’.
  24. ‘Yeah, but look at their gates compared to ours’. There’s always another excuse.
