  1. No, but other Championship clubs will also offer plenty more (as we’ve seen already this summer).
  2. No, it took about a 1,000 years and ended in complete collapse, so sounds about right for this regime.
  3. Really? At what level? Even in L1 he was agricultural at best.
  4. That wasn’t his argument, he said we don’t need to look to bring in experienced midfielders as those two can step straight in as first choice if Travis and Buckley are injured. Two academy lads who have never played a minute of first team football in a division as relentless as this - just silly. Your second paragraph is obviously what will happen and that’s fair enough.
  5. Right, and they were thrown in together without ever playing a single minute and asked to run a first team, Championship level midfield between them? Or were they slowly blooded alongside experienced pros over a number of years?
  6. ‘Fine’? To have two academy lads who have never played a first team game an injury away from anchoring a Championship midfield? Lets hope GB and JDT are a little less flippant.
  7. Imagine a PL chasing side playing a non league club in the run in with a full strength team these days!
  8. Once again… so? The club has to does what it thinks is best for Blackburn Rovers. If that is selling a player, so be it, if it’s keeping him to maintain a push, fine. Upset fans should not come into it.
  9. Not as nice as last season, but still better than the Teamwear shite Umbro and Nike used to provide.
  10. You’d think so, considering how pretty much every Rovers player from first teamers to academy lads to the Ladies team get an article on there when they sign deals…
  11. Out of practice, they need to get a game under their belts.
  12. … and Etuhu… and Leon Best.
  13. Since the dawn of time we must have played bloody awful in the first friendly, and every time fans get worried about it - but it really does mean absolutely nothing.
  14. So? It was like all this the other week about ‘fans being up in arms if BB had signed a new deal in 2020’. The club either protects its assets and its balance sheet or it doesn’t, upset fans don’t come into it.
  15. Whereas these days most walk out for feck all…
  16. People have this impression that the ‘model’ the last few years is too buy cheap and sell high, but apart from AA when has it actually happened?
  17. I thought he’d stopped because Darren called him (and by extension us) a saddo 😁
  18. Why? Sunderland, Ipswich, Sheff Wed and a load more never have.
  19. Jimmy is just a phenomenon, about to turn 40 and he is still top class. Looks in superb physical condition too. Broad, however, looks on his last legs to me…
  20. They know that more and more of our fanbase lives outside of BB1 and BB2, their own ticket database will tell them that… yet we now do less to engage fans outside the town itself than ever before. We need Swag out the door ASAP before he does any more damage.
  21. Test cricket has only ‘moved on’ in the last month. Despite nearly twenty years of Twenty20 cricket, it hadn’t impacted scoring rates that much in Test cricket. Look at Test scorecards from the past few years, 200/250 runs in 90 overs had still been standard fayre until BazBall. Stokes/McCullum are doing something revolutionary here, other sides will have to adapt to it quickly, though it will be interesting to see how it stands up to being tested on a spinning deck in India or down under.
  22. A note to anybody that starts posts with ‘typical Rovers fans’ - Rovers fans as a whole are no different than any other club’s, brfcs is no different than any other forum.
  23. I’d say keeping Kean on in summer 2012 was the main driver of the collapse, most clubs don’t come close to losing 40% of ST holders on relegation - we did! But yes, one bone headed, arrogant decision after another has got us into this mess.
