Not unwarranted, you’ve decided to take your ball home once proven wrong. Poor do.
-
We were in it on 75 minutes at Brentford! Not that the ‘as it stands’ table means anything, but if shows we are in the mix. Villa weren’t in it at all least season until April.
-
PNE do now have a more winnable run of fixtures*. This week was a real chance to make ground with the respective fixtures we had. *Obviously anything can happen in the Championship.
-
Different issue, Mani was listing debuts.
-
Come on Hasta. If we weren’t involved and someone said to you ‘Bristol City are in the mix for the playoffs this season’, you’d say they were wrong because they aren’t actually 6th in February? We trailed Bolton by far more than 3 points for long stretches in 2000/01, we were still in the automatic mix!
-
You need to be clearer then, you talked about the plethora of players he’s given debuts to from the academy, and then listed academy grads. You can spin stats anyway you want, another take would be only Travis is a regular starter from players he’s given debuts to. (I think he’s been good with youth, by the way, but using Lenihan as an example is pushing it).
-
He is fast once he gets going and actually has the ball under control... which is half the problem!
-
‘I’m not getting into a Gallagher debate again’ i.e I was wrong but won’t put my hands up. Poor form.
-
Great story, but Lenihan, Raya and Nyambe had played for the first team before he arrived. Lenihan was a regular with 50 games under his belt, Nyambe about 20.

A journalist by trade too, real solidarity there. That said he does seem to get a perverse pleasure in screen grabbing every typo he spots in the LT. Odd (and seemingly very embittered) bloke.

Can we make the Playoffs?
Mattyblue replied to Prelude's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
End of the day pretty much every team in the top half are in with a shout and all are dropping points, seemingly every week. We are frustrated, as they will be. We’ve all a chance to make it because there’s nothing between a mediocre bunch of sides. -
Championship season 2019-20

Owners that have washed their hands of it. -
A 4 point gap going into a February home game isn’t ‘a glimmer of hope’. We won’t be in the top 6 by May, as for me we just aren’t good enough, but it’s some serious mental gymnastics to call a game right now with the table as it is a ‘dead rubber’.

Serious collapse from Hull. A point from the top 6 on New Year’s Day to a relegation battle. -
It literally makes no sense as your pay on the day away fans are a captive market. They aren’t going to trek all the way to Blackburn, not see an enormous sign saying AWAY TICKETS, so head back home!
-
Why?!?! The away ticket office was already clearly signed. @only2garners Can this be brought up at the FF? Believe your pre-meet is next week. Mind boggles with this regime.
-
The timeline?
-
It’s not ‘Uber positive’ to not believe a February home game with a 4 point gap is a ‘dead rubber’. Just common sense. You may not think we’ll get there in the end, I don’t. But you are just posting for a reaction.
-
Fair play to you BB... but don’t waste your energy!
-
He did have a break and came back a different poster. He’s regressed into Chaddy 1.0 again recently, alas.
-
Thanks for that. So why is today an example?
-
Home game with us 4 points from the play offs with a decent goal difference in February. Why is it a dead rubber?
-
To be fair it’s only been open a day. I remember not that long ago when a match thread wouldn’t hit page 2 before the team was announced...
-
Go on then guru, what position is Gallagher usually playing?
-
Him and Waggott still bang on about the slight bit of grumbling in the stands against Barnsley. The only bit of grief he’s had in three years. Very tame in comparison to what he’d have got elsewhere for some of these horrendous runs we’ve been on from time to time. I suppose when you run a club between you with no pressure from owners, you’ll be completely oblivious to the normal pressures of getting results and won’t take kindly to the oiks in the stands pricking their bubble.
