  1. It was a terrible decision, and many on here said so. It was the first of many and we are are still reaping the consequences.
  2. All part of the Anderson/Singh/Shaw/Agnew eras. For all its faults the club isn’t as toxic as it was 2010-2013. Or perhaps it is, so we best keep Mowbray as infinitum...
  3. Not really. PL club’s just bring in cheap English 3rd choice keepers to fulfil the ‘home grown’ squad quota. No chance of a game, whereas clubs want their younger keepers out on loan playing somewhere. See Lee Grant at Man Utd and Andy Lonergan at Liverpool.
  4. He’s better than Steele, surely?
  5. You seem to? You know how much we pay managers, players, how much we have to spend etc.
  6. We were an established PL club, full of quality players, had average crowds of 25,000 and a cracking home record. More fool you! The last decade has been ‘a chore’
  7. Good job he went then..
  8. Did anybody expect Mowbray... or Lambert? For every Coyle there was the Lambert appointment which fans were happy with (initially) and TM has done a decent job on the whole. So why wouldn’t we appoint somebody decent?
  9. Of course, but they were a minority, most fans realised we had a top manager and it was unlikely we would get anyone better. A guru at keeping clubs like us competitive in the Premier League. Fast forward and there is nobody out there for us better than Tony bloody Mowbray? Get out of it!
  10. Sam Allardyce was a top manager, this fella just isn’t, so not a comparison I would make.
  11. A loud minority were celebrating at Ipswich... just like here on that fateful day in December 2010.
  12. They brought 7,500 last season, 6,200 yesterday, so not much difference in home areas really. Stagnant on and off the pitch.
  13. As long as we are not in a relegation battle I just can’t see the crowd turning on him en masse. Barnsley got close to real dissent due to us slipping towards the bottom 3 at that time. The majority of Rovers fans expect little these days, so plodding around in mid table of the Championship won’t be inviting a rebellion.
  14. For a club middling around in the second tier it’s quite a bizarre thing to see. Where was Bowyer’s?
  15. Ha quoted the wrong bit! Meant to quote the ‘won’t be going again’... you will!
  16. Heard that from you a few times!
  17. Always the case in this league. Even Burnley games don’t usually attract much more.
  18. Wasn’t exactly champagne football, but it was a blood and thunder game, interesting that a neutral would find it boring.
  19. In those 20 minutes - we scored, then Evans had his cheekbone and nose broke ... and then they scored. What more were they after?
  20. 13,700 home fans is more than I thought at £28-£30 just after Christmas. Couple of thousand up on a standard game.
  21. We are supposed to do it in minute 25 every home game this season, the prompt always comes on the screen at that time... just nobody bothers.
  22. I can only presume he thought they’d sell out so to stop tickets being bought in home areas. Then realised they weren’t going to get particularly close to selling out and he backtracked. Usual keystone cops stuff down Ewood...
  23. Come on Dave, he ain’t going to get a ‘walking in a Ben Brereton wonderland’ when he’s been so poor for 18 months. We don’t have chants for half the players anyway.
  24. Nonsense that needs to stop being spread about. BB’s been supported to the hilt, which shows the inherent fairness of Rovers fans who realise it’s a young lad, patience he wouldn’t have got elsewhere. A few dickheads at games and social media trolls do not represent a fanbase. But he’s been very, very poor and folk are free to say so on brfcs.
  25. Twice every season we have the same tiresome discussions; crowds, away followings, is it/is it not an important game, this weird ‘plastics’ tag. *yawn* (and yes I get sucked into it too). Rather just not play them at all to get away from the nonsense (though I would miss the scoops round Preston).
