  1. Good grief, you're hypocrisy knows no bounds does it? This from the king of rude, personal, and ill-judged comments. You keep trying to score points Theno and I'll keep treating you with the contempt you deserve.
  2. Fantastic signing. We've now got many more options up front. We can hit balls high or down the channels to Kuqi and we can knock balls over the top of the defence for Bellamy to run onto. We also have the option of playing a 4-3-3 system with Kuqi in the middle, and Bellamy and say Emerton running from deep to link up (like Chelsea do with Duff and Robben).
  3. I agree. Perhaps racist was the wrong word - however, that was the first word that came to mind because of the general tone and undercurrent of the post, bearing in mind a number of AESF's previous posts. And I completely agree with Blue Phil above, this has nothing to do with race at all.
  4. Get a grip of yourself, take time to engage your brain, and stop spouting @#/?. First of all there's no confirmation that it was carried out by "Muslim extremists" yet, although I agree it looks the most likely option. Secondly, the people who carried out the attack may not live in this country. Thirdly, the vast majority of asylum seekers come here because conditions in their own country are unbearable. They only want a better life for themselves and their families. As for AESF's re-hashing of the BBC News site - well only him would seek to take advantage of an attack like this to post yet more of his racist drivel.
  5. Unbelievable. Just goes to show the difference between this series and the last few Ashes series. In the past, if Australia had us 5 down for not many they'd have gone in for the kill. Similarly, if England were 5 down quickly we'd have folded like a deckchair and been all out within the hour. This England team is made of sterner stuff though and more often than not someone steps up and sees us home. Two closely matched teams and the Ashes are going to be brilliant - bring it on.
  6. Not over yet. If England bat the 50 overs they'll win.
  7. I can't work out if that was a compliment or an insult.
  8. More big words from our resident internet bully. What a tough guy.
  9. Come and join us on the ISA Theno and we'll see who's suitable and who isn't. Except you won't will you? Because you just like to criticise and cause division whilst hiding behind the internet rather than get up off your arse and help. It's the easy option after all.
  10. John Williams said recently that sales at this stage were on a par with last season. However Thenodrog has a "source at the club" who seems to think that sales are well down. Who to believe, Theno or John Williams? It's a toughy.
  11. So where does it stop Theno? How much of the club's tradition do we sell in order to stay successful? Do we rename the ground? Maybe we should rename all the stands? Forget the Jack Walker stand, calling it that doesn't bring the cash in. Should we change the colour of the shirts to match the sponsors colours? Do we rename the team - to say the Blackburn Big Mac's FC? How far do we go? Of course, I know that you don't give a toss about the tradition of the club. Christ, if you had your way there wouldn't even be a Blackburn Rovers, just some faceless combined Lancashire team that no-one would follow. Money isn't everything, success isn't everything. If we have to sell our soul to be successful then sod success. Leave it to the corporate big shot teams who screw every last penny out of their fans. Blackburn Rovers is special because it's a town team that has a fantastic history and tradition. Rovers don't have many competitive advantages these days but our history and tradition are one of them. Most clubs would kill for it. Renaming the ground may not affect that tradition too much, but where do we stop?
  12. Incidentally FLB (or anyone else interested for that matter) if you want to see what we have done so far, and what we've still got to do, then e-mail the address above and you'll be given access to all the information we've got.
  13. Let me switch the question around. What would you like us to do? At the moment we are very much at the ideas stage. We've not really fully decided much at all and are open to suggestions. If people like you can tell us what you'd like then we'll see what we can do to help. As for the "just brfcs messageboard members" bit, that's only because we were the one's who decided to start the ball rolling. It had to start somewhere after all. We're in the process of opening up the idea of BRISA to as many people as possible and we welcome any input from anyone.
  14. You'll be delighted to know Andy that I've no intention of being a spokesperson for anything - and I'm really quite angelic in real life.
  15. just ordered mine now scotty same problem just fill in the box below and heypresto you will be recognised 325441[/snapback] I've sorted it now. They had me registered with an old e-mail address, even though I've re-registered with my current one at least twice.
  16. My personal view is that I'm not sure the BRISA web-site should have a messageboard. But, if we did have one, it would only be open to BRISA members and would only discuss BRISA issues - whereas this messageboard (BRFCS.com) is open to all Rovers fans and anything can be discussed. This is something we can discuss at the next BRISA steering group meeting.
  17. Just marvellous. Australia were better today but we still beat them. Anyway, we shouldn't gloat, we've got a top of the table clash against Bangladesh next.
  18. I tried to renew on-line yesterday but the system didn't recognise me as a season ticket holder. Guess I'll have to fill in the form.
  19. Just to add to the hilarity. Naughty boy
  20. Looks like it's Bangladesh in the final then.
  21. Marvellous. But you forgot to mention Rooney!!
  22. But you know as well as I do that, had the Aussies beaten us, all you convicts would have been rushing on here to crow about how you're the greatest. In reality yesterday's win means next to nothing when determining who's going to win the Ashes. What it does do though is just put another little chink in the Aussies "invincible" reputation. England have now won the last three matches against the Aussies and our confidence is growing with each win. England are already a good team. Give them confidence, show them that the Aussies are beatable, and who knows how good England could be this summer.
  23. I have to say that I'm a little dissapointed to see Stead leave. Especially if Cole does come back as the two of them seemed to work well together. However, it really depends on who we get in doesn't it. If we sign a couple of class strikers then it'll be a case of Stead who? If we don't sign anyone then we're buggered really aren't we.
  24. I've created a table on www.pokerroom.com. It's a private table like before called ScottyThor1 HE. Tell me if you can see it.
