  1. I've already said i agree with charging £36 on Wednesday as the away support swells the coffers. But it was interesting to note that the pub before the game was full, but mostly full of people out to watch the game on TV rather than pay £36 to have the privilege. "I can have a few beers, something to eat and pay for a taxi home on £36" was the popular concensus....
  2. As I remember it, Rovers tried that for the Lyon game but had to back down in the end due to lack of interest in the official trip. There isn't usually much interest in the official trips. Usually they're extremely overpriced and have a very badly thought through itinery. (debs not gav, can't be bothered logging out and back in again)
  3. Think you'll find most people are going Wednesday and coming home Friday, we're Tuesday to Friday.
  4. We've booked in here hotel Belmondo £60 a night and in the area we stayed last time which is close to the station and old town We went in O'Mally's last time. By the river just on the edge of the old town (but it was very busy) (Debs not Gav)
  5. I travelled with the club many moons ago and it was ok for convenience, you flew the day before but returned straight after the game which was a nightmare. You can bet it'll be expensive also. I've just been told Ryan air from Stanstead to linz (1hour by train from salz) is £65 return if anyones interested.
  6. We need to find a pub for a meet up for the Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday and Friday nights drinking and singing sessions.
  7. Looks nice and tidy, we should create a good atmosphere. Wonder how many will travel? 500 shouldn't be too much to ask.
  8. Where's Waggy? No European trips complete without Waggy...... Salzburg was a great base when we traveled to Munich to watch England. I seem to remember most of our group drinking the local tipple 'Stern' where on another planet by 5pm, powerful stuff. Great place, really picturesque and plenty of bars, but it seemed like the whole place shut at 6pm, we'll change that. Come on!
  9. Tuesday 12th, Blackpool to stanstead.........stanstead to munich Friday 15th, munich to stanstead........stanstead to Blackpool £170 each. Flights from Blackpool £35 with Ryan air then flights to munich with easyjet. Booked
  10. 7 minutes to go!
  11. It’s all the same to me, clever s***e It’s the excitement you see
  12. I think flying to Salzburg then getting a train is also an option, Tris used that line on numerous occasions if memory serves me correctly.
  13. Always difficult going to France, the top half of the French league has some good teams.
  14. Went to T in the park last year and stayed in a new travel lodge in Edinburgh just up the road from the ground, £40 a night with breakfast.
  15. I think apart from the Denmark option it’s not a bad draw in terms of hitting us in the pocket. Not want to tempt fate but if we do manage to get through, this trip could have been allot worse on the old wallet.
  16. I know Ryanair fly direct to Salzburg from Stanstead as we used Salzburg as a base before Engalnd/Germanay in Munich, so thats one cheap air option. You can fly from Blackpool to Stanstead rtn for £2, just hope the flight times are helpful should we draw them.
  17. Hopefully going out on the Tuesday and coming back Friday or Saturday depending on flight times and venues.
  18. Thanks in large part to Craig Bellamy's scoring exploits that we've got this opportunity, so thanks Craig. Don't care where it is as long as its sorted out tomorrow and we don't have issues with venue changes etc.
  19. Just had my charges returned, £330 in time for Europe.
  20. The last time I attempted to buy from the 'club shop' I was told it wasn't a club shop but a sport world outlet and Blackburn Rovers don't sell club merchandise any longer. It was not full of overpriced gear either, but it was full of £3 T-Shirts and complete tatt as you say Nod. I guess we make more money from it being a Sports world shop than we ever did a club shop, but it doesn't make it right that they hardly sell club merchandise.
  21. When Hughes arrived the first thing he did was make sure we became fitter and stronger. Today it sounds like we were second to every ball and miles off the pace which is a worrying to say the least. Hughes said in his interview we may have some good news come Monday/Tuesday with regards to the defense, lets hope so.
  22. Rang Pompey less than an hour ago to ask if they had tickets left, after much debate they said yes we can buy them on the day: "Debs....Debs we going to pompey"?
  23. Anyone know where the games on live tomorrow
