  1. How do you remember? You were in shock (kidding. i'm sure you can still remember things that happened whilst in shock).
  2. I've never liked Smith... but please do think before you (you all in general) go on. If it is as serious as some are saying, he may need an amputation. I don't wish that, let alone broken bones, on anyone.
  3. I think we should all focus our energies on a double or nothing bet for Gav, because this one really is gone now
  4. I think you are all scaring yourselves over Stead. I can't see him scoring at all.
  5. They are not overrated! They've been making the bloody WC Final regularly. And have you seen the squad they could have for this one? Bloody frightening. And guess which nation was drawn in their group
  6. Philipl, to avoid embarrassment, I suggest you edit your post for an inconviniently made spelling mistake
  7. Oops. Should have waited to read the next page
  8. AFAICT, Neekoy didn't say anything rubbishing Rooney. He is questioning his achievements. Measuring those is subjective (like most measures in football), but I'd say that Neekoys implications are somewhat true. Where are those trophies? Seems almost sure they will come, but they haven't yet.
  9. The important part for me, is this part at the bottom: and earlier, Jansen on Jansen: I fear Matty might still be lost, as it smacks of ingratitude that he criticises Souness for bringing him back too early. a) in all likelyhood, Matty himself was eager to come back. how could there be any bad intentions in such a scenario? Not that Jansen makes the accusation, but surely Souness was giving Matt a chance to regain his form. Unfortunately, it sounds like opportunist seizing upon a reputation that Souness has gained recently, for bringing players back too soon from injury. Just another sad episode to this whole debacle
  10. What the hell did Jansen expect GS to say? What the hell was he doing on a bloody moped? In life, not everyone has to be all rosy and nice. Life needs @#/?, hard headed people. I feel sorry for Jansen, but GS had to devote his time and energy to the most active players.
  11. I agree, there is a bit of that to all this, isn't there.
  12. Yep, your story mirrors mine (same year). I only missed the 2002-2003 Southampton match because my flight from Paris to Liverpool was 3.5 hrs delayed. I arrived in liverpool at 2.30pm, 30mins before kick-off. So I went to Blackburn the next day anyway. And that's how I got onto the pitch.
  13. (my bold) Really? And you know this how?
  14. Don't wish him injury FFS. Besides it being a very callious way of looking at things, a long term injury should it happen, will affect England's chances in WC2006. You surely don't want that? After all, Rooney was on for a third of the OT match, and we still won.
  15. I was allowed into the ground on one occassion, gave me a full refund to a match I was not able to attend but had bought tickets for, and on the recommendation of Glenn (thanks mate), I asked and was granted access to the trophy room and player lounge after last season home Villa match. The club strikes me as genuinely homely, I would imagine more so than any other in the Premiership, so it always strikes me odd that so many fans are down on the club itself. Not saying they are wrong, just my few experiences were all positive.
  16. This thing never ends. Even a clean break is going to take half a week, FFS. Enough time for more overly sentimental gush. Anyway good luck Jansen. Have a good life, because I have the sad feeling that you will need a new career soon. At least you have a life.
  17. I know this'll rub some people up the wrong way, but I will feel a great deal of pity for Souness if he is sacked. That's all.
  18. Not doubting the story, but nothing on the official site as yet. Will be interesting to hear Hughes comments on the matter.
  19. Not if it's a points deduction it's not.
  20. In which case, we might have to stop being ABU's... keep RFW in a job.
  21. I envy the nearly 5000 Rovers fans at Wigan this afternoon.
