  1. It’s not really how it works, or at least how I understand it. The decision on the manager will be made by Pasha, the whole ‘recommendation to the owners’ is simply a case of them being introduced and green lighting it. Once upon a time they had more input, but that was during the ‘He who shall not be named’ era before they had their own man on the ground Whoever Pasha recommends they will appoint.
  2. I’ll skip if the sources are Nixon and Mercer if it’s all the same Chaddy! I’ll stick with @Bbrovers2288 @unleaded and @glen9mullan
  3. The new owners are 18 months (?) of his Burnley legacy. It’s everything before that which stops him wanting to deal with Rovers specifically.
  4. We’re not getting much closer, our shortlist of 5 is getting bigger not smaller!
  5. Dyche won’t work for Rovers out of respect for the Dingles. It’s a complete non starter.
  6. Who has confirmed we have interviewed Duncan Ferguson and Michael Beale?!
  7. I wasn’t there - so I won’t make comment on exactly what happened. What I will say is after following England at Euro 2016 the French police are absolutely desperate to attack - and I mean attack - football fans if there’s any sign of disruption, unrest or things aren’t going exactly to their plan. They’re absolutely terrible - thieves, criminals, bullies and they seem to enjoy it. I wouldn’t wish them on anyone.
  8. Good god, let him walk around Brockhall and thumbs up or thumbs down whoever he wants. KING CARLO’S BLUE N WHITE ARMY!
  9. If the owners also need to speak to preferred candidates then we’re at long list stage, not shortlist.
  10. Probably!! For clarity because it looks like posts are being missed, I believe @Bbrovers2288 and if that’s what he’s been told then I’ll go with it.
  11. I’m basing this on @Bbrovers2288 who’s been right a few times before. But it would make sense.
  12. Welcome Carlos! I’m excited to have a top manager at this level.
  13. It doesn’t work like normal jobs - in most cases there are expressions of interest from agents (ie my client would like to be considered) and then there’s invitations to interview (ie would your client be interested in interviewing for the role of manager of Blackburn Rovers). It’s not uncommon for someone to reject an interview.
  14. It’s a surreal statement to make if he doesn’t, so I’ll go with yes.
  15. My record is terrible at the moment so dismiss this as unlikely… but I’ve been told they want Friedel as Sporting Director
  16. It’s tough down here Longers! As you’ve seen, you need a very fine balance of quality, work effort and mentality or it goes south - quick!!
  17. This is the bit I can’t get my head around - before sacking him they where in a situation where best case Dyche kept them up, worst case they went down but had the perfect manager to bring them back. They’re now in a situation where they’re competing with us to find a new manager.
  18. Late votes coming in for Calum Wilson
  19. I’ll be there!
  20. This sounds stupid but it all depends on who impresses Pasha. I don’t think we will see the value in Farke, I think he will think he’s getting a deal with Carvahal and I think Gareth will rock the boat too much. So put me down for Carvahal OR someone that gives Suhail some razzmatazz… any ex-United legend.
  21. There’s too many people in this world that think they can provoke people and not expect a physical response. Recently I saw a video of some 20-something in Mike Tyson’s face on a flight, screaming at him and demanding photos… then surprised when Mike Tyson punched him! Same applies here based on Silas video. Actually whilst we’re on it, the players need to take some responsibility as well. When Johnson scored for Forest against Sheff United, he made a b-line to run to the Sheff United end shushing them with his hand cupped to his ears. I tried to find some existing history between him and the Sheff Utd fans and couldn’t find any. I’m surprised that sort of a celebration is allowed - he was playing at home and 85% of the crowd where supporting him, why is he deliberately provoking the away fans? I won’t condone it but I can see why people are offended and retaliate to that sort of thing.
