Update: a good source now. Sounds like his agents playing dirty here. -

I don’t know anymore, who knows what is up for debate. I know he’s definitely, 100%, not travelled. I don’t know if he’s injured or not. I don’t know if he’s asked for a transfer. I do know that there’s at least 5 people spinning the exact same story to me and none of them are linked. He’s not travelled, he’s not injured and he’s trying to push through a move this window. -

My WhatsApp’s and Twitter DMs are full of people saying the same thing here which hardly ever happens… Rothwell has refused to travel with the squad and has asked to speak to “other clubs”. Mowbray furious. -

There’s something in this Rothwell rumour. I’m not 100% whether he’s asked to leave but he’s certainly not travelled. -

No. Not in a million years. He was a starter every week until his injury. There’s no chances on this earth that they’d let him go on loan and even less chance they’ll do that with an obligation for us to buy him. He’s probably a £35M player now. We’d quite literally have to sell Ewood to even show we could afford it. -
BRFCS Rules BRFCS has been used as a forum for over 20 years. Throughout this time we have had numerous different sets of rules and moderation teams, below are our latest rules. Please note that these rules are changed/updated regularly by the team. 1) Links to Streams We’d love to be able to offer Rovers games live on BRFCS.com. Unfortunately we can’t - in fact if we are seen to be allowing streams to be shared we can be sued. With that in mind, please do not ask for, or share any streams to Rovers games on the Forum. 2) Personal Attacks We are - in the vast majority - all Rovers fans on this website. We do not accept personal attacks on other members. We do however actively encourage discussion, agreement and disagreement, but we expect all members to both agree and disagree respectfully. Personal Attacks will always face a warning. 3) Swearing BRFCS allows its members to swear, but context is important. We do not allow swearing at other members or their views. This sometimes causes confusion - so we have put some examples below: Rovers were shite today, we didn’t deserve any points - acceptable. The Manager played the wrong formation today, he should take the fucking blame - acceptable I thought the opposition player celebrating in front of the Blackburn End was wrong. He’s a prick - acceptable. @K-Hod is a fucking clown. He’s no idea what he’s talking about - unacceptable. You’re always chatting shit on here @K-Hod - unacceptable. 4) Trolling and Baiting One of our biggest problems currently is trolling and baiting. We’ve defined these below: Trolling To antagonise others online by deliberately posting inflammatory, irrelevant or offensive comments or other disruptive comments. To harass, criticise or antagonise one person especially by disparaging or mocking their statements. Baiting Intentionally making other posters angry / reactive by saying or doing things especially to annoy them. 5) Racism, Sexism, Other This should go without saying but unfortunately there has been occasions of this. There are no warnings or second chances - whether its stereotyping, innuendo or flat out offensive, it will face an immediate, permanent ban. 6) Use of BRFCS content elsewhere The emergence of Social Media has seen BRFCS posters content being used on other platforms, often alongside negativity. If you choose to share and comment on BRFCS posts on alternative platforms, especially those where posters do not have the right of reply, you will be permanently banned from BRFCS. 7) Hiding Posts The moderation team hide posts by members for numerous reasons, including but not limited to your post quotes another post which has been hidden. Please do not send threads off topic asking why your posts have been hidden, or even worse, start a new thread asking about hidden posts. If you have any questions on this please private message the moderation team or use the Ask Admin section. We cannot edit your posts - that means if you post a superb message, but the final sentences includes something that breaks the rules, we have no choice but to hide the entire post. Warning System In an ideal world, we wouldn’t need moderators or warnings. Unfortunately, we do. Moderators give up a significant amount of free time to keep the message board functioning, and all work full time and have family commitments. They don't take any decisions lightly, and do so for the harmony of the board, and not to personally offend any single poster. We have 6 different warnings which are used at moderators discretion. Whilst each warning has a bigger ban duration, that doesn’t mean that they’re sequential, sometimes bans are issued without any previous warning. The below details each warning moderators have available to them: 1) ‘The Yellow Card’ - a 12 hour ban. 2) ‘2 match ban’ - a 48 hour ban. 3) 5 day ban 4) 1 month ban 5) 3 month ban 6) Permanent ban. Please note you must acknowledge a ban before the countdown starts on its duration. For example, if you have a 12 hour ban but never acknowledge the warning, you will be banned until you acknowledge the warning. Contacting BRFCS Ownership BRFCS.com is owned by Northern Horde Limited. BRFCS is the one-stop shop for the busy Blackburn Rovers Fan who needs the latest match information and statistics, the reverence and satire of the world-famous ‘4000 Holes’ fanzine plus access to the biggest and best Blackburn Rovers fans’ forum all in one handy location. The site also hosts the renowned “4000 Holes podcast” including archive interviews with former Players, Managers and Rovers supporting Celebrities. BRFCS.com recommends that any user and/or viewer of the BRFCS forum makes themselves aware of the ‘report’ function. This function is the quickest way to have content on BRFCS.com looked at by the BRFCS moderation team. As a volunteer led team, moderation can take anywhere between 1 and 12 hours to be actioned. If you would prefer, you can contact the moderation team via private message - but this must be alongside an active report on the forum. The moderation team are labelled on the Forum and led by @K-Hod as lead moderator. Any further questions regarding the BRFCS Forum should be emailed to admin@brfcs.com. Mercer’s arguably got the worst record on here. Blue Nun could mean anything. -

They’ll go for a decent attacking midfielder or winger if you ask me. As much from promotion as for getting BBD to 30+ goals by the end of the $ea$on. -

It depends who we replaced them with. Zeefuik has a good reputation, could he be better than Nyambe? Maybe. Van Hecke looks a player, could he be better than Lenihan? Maybe. That Dembele looks a player at Peterborough, could he replace Rothwell? Or Hedges? Who else have they lined up? Nobody expected Mackaday. -

Yes I do, I just think we’ve been incredibly unlucky. Dack was meant to leave for big money, then did his ACL. Then COVID hit and almost all clubs stopped/reduced spending. I think in a pre-covid world we would have sold Nyambe, Rothwell and Lenihan last summer (if they wouldn’t sign new deals) and replaced them with unpolished diamonds. -

Because theres rules to stop exactly this. You can only buy at an accurate market value. Much like there’s rules on sponsorship. They can’t just give us 10M quid to sponsor the shirts because it’s not the market value. As a side note FFP is a con to keep the big clubs big and the small clubs small. Unless we can hugely increase the clubs natural revenue we don’t have many options available to us. -

Never mind a PL team, I reckon as things stand a recently relegated team would spend £10M on Rothwell if he was on a 5 year deal. -

It’s no secret we have a 15K / week wage cap. I half agree, rather than extending contracts I think we need to be selling our players earlier if they’re not signing new deals. -

J*B replied to chaddyrovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
But FFP isn’t based on one year, it’s currently based on 4 years. So yes, this year will be better and will give us a little bit more flexibility than usual. But that doesn’t change the fact that the club makes an 8 figure loss every year. They either try and cover that with player sales or the reduce the running costs. I’d rather they went with player sales than selling the stadium, not having a Cat 1 academy, never signing a player for over a million. -

I reckon a contracted JR would be a £10M player to a PL team. That’s big money for a Championship midfielder. Especially one we signed for 300K. -

Have you listened to the podcast I posted earlier where Rovers finances are gone through in detail? You can’t just say “I’m not having it” when the numbers clearly say we only just got through FFP. -

They’re not rare beasts, there’s tonnes of them. Rothwell would be worth good money if he would sign. Pickering is a multi million pound player now, same with Kaminski. Wharton is a multi million pound defender already. Mackaday will be the next striker. It’s a pointless discussion and you’re killing yourself if you’re thinking there’s a chance they’ll ‘go for it’ this January. This IS them going for it. They’ll stick to the Brentford model exactly. Remember what Brentford did, they where in a strong position for a couple of years before they went up. Anyone thinking “ignore the rules, get promoted then worry about the repercussions” are living in dream land. -

Because they’ve got a completely unsellable asset. If they sell up today they’ll need to write off all their debts and would be lucky to get £30M. They would stand to lose over £200M. In the interest of being transparent - although how much you choose to believe is at your own discretion - here’s an exact quote I received from a current, senior Rovers/Venkys employee, that uses this Forum, when I asked the same question: Suhail and Babu run the club on behalf of Balaji. Each of the family have their own financial interests from their fathers inheritance, Blackburn is Balaji. Balaji's son studies in the UK and enjoys following and attending games. Its a personal passion for father and son. -

The plan is to fix up a rough diamond to sell every summer. Although it’s more like every 18 months that we would need a big sale. It’s the Brentford model, Mowbray has said it himself. Polish up a diamond, sell for big money. Reinvest wisely, buy two/three rough diamonds. Polish them up, sell one/two of them. Reinvest wisely, buy two/three rough diamonds. Eventually you’ve got a team with enough diamonds that you’re promoted. -

From memory, it took selling both Arma and Brockhall to just scrape through FFP: https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/the-brfcs-podcast/id1282664472?i=1000545177676
