They’ve already signed off the kits for next season. They signed off this seasons and next seasons at the same time. A few of team involved have unfortunately left Rovers since - so god knows what will happen after next season. To give some context, Macron’s suggested away kit made us look like Bolton playing at home. The Rovers team created all three of this seasons kits after consulting some fans and told Macron to release these instead. -

I think it’s very likely we would lose 10m on him in 6 months. Two reasons: 1) January is ALWAYS a sellers market. It’s the one opportunity for clubs to press the panic buy button if their league status is at risk. 2) Come 1st January 2023, Ben can agree to sign for a club for free on 1st July 2023. There’s absolutely no protection against that for us. -

Out of interest, if he’s 20m in January or 10m in summer, would you still feel the same? -

This won’t go down well but if I was CEO I’d take 20 million, I’d let Tony join Ipswich and I’d pay more money than we’d like to for Lenihan, Rothwell, Nyambe and Kaminski. -
He will have already been notified via his agent, in writing, that the contract extension will be activated at 23:59 on 31/12/21. They do it at the last possible minute so that the extension is for as long possible It’s not unusual for a contract extension to be on different terms than his current contract.

I can’t get over how they call their admin “leaders” and now I’m desperately trying to find a way to implement it here.
-
Agreed, if he hasn’t signed by the end of the season he needs to be sold to the highest bidder very very early in the summer window.
-
No, we wouldn’t. If he signs a pre contract deal with Seville, let’s say, on January 1st 2023, he’s going for free in July regardless of whatever bids we receive. He decides where he moves and once he’s signed a pre contract he’s going.
-
Come summer he’s 6 months away from joining a foreign club for free, which is a serious risk now that he’s playing for Chile. Valencia, Sevilla, none of them sound implausible. I’d take 15M in summer.
-
Alls I’m saying is 12 months ago he was an absolute disaster for Rovers. We had spent big and he wasn’t coming good, there’s no avoiding it. He was a £3M player at best. If you read back, in my defence, you’ll see I thought he might come good, was worth persisting with, has the attributes. But now, they can’t afford for him to stop this form because he’s a £7m signing and they need a return on that. Armstrong was different, he was cheap. We could have sold him for 4M and it would have been a success story. I think I’d stick with him in January simply because everyone involved deserves this success, but come summer I honestly feel like the Diaz story needs to continue to be written elsewhere. Another £15M for Rovers, another chapter for Ben, everyone leaves happy.

I’ve just accepted a few PNE fans as new members of the site. Be on standby to report them if they’re being silly beggars…
-
And yet there wasn’t the ingenuity to take advantage, again. I’d have had the ticket office reopen at full time, Birmingham tickets £15 for adults anywhere in the ground, with the PA system urging people to go.
-
Is Ben Brereton Diaz of 21/22 better than Adam Armstrong of 20/21?
-
Is it only me that wants us to cash in ASAP? Love him, love the story, love celebrating his success. But Rovers - at 7m - can’t risk him returning back to just Ben Brereton, can they?
-
The pitch levelled it out for the first half. We couldn’t play our game at all. If it hadn’t have been absolutely pissing it down we would have won 2 or 3 nil today.
-
For the first time since Charlton away in League 1… I’d give Mowbray an contract extension.

The ads you’re being served are based on your search history and internet profile, so whatever you’re seeing is relevant to that… …saying that, I specified I don’t want anyone to see adverts linked to sex, tobacco or gambling. So can you screenshot what you’re seeing so that I can complain to the provider? I’m not sure what the banner section of the website is either. Can you post a screenshot of that page too? We have a little more control at the moment because we have a new company involved. I’m trying to build a profile of how much each viewer is worth to BRFCS so that I can attach a minimum value to an ad-free membership.

He struggled a little during lockdown - and wouldn’t mind me saying that, most of us did. We keep in touch, he’s OK, still following Rovers. Still hating the JWT! -

@Madon’s Assombalonga isn’t brought up half as much as this Mols vs. Buckley thing and is much more light hearted. There’s light hearted banter and ruining threads for everyone else. I will of course take your opinion on board, but ultimately, I’ll police specific topics if I think they’re to the detriment of the website on the whole. I’ve done it before, I once made it so that every time @VinjayMCsaid the words “Jack Walker Trust” it was changed to “COME ON CITY!”. PS - I noticed at the last game you sit around 4 rows back from me in the Riverside. Come down for a beer and pie and join the unofficial BRFCS membership meet up next game! -

You can’t trigger a contract extension on a player until a certain date. I don’t know whether or not that date has happened yet, I assume not, if I was a betting man I would hazard a guess on his contract extension date being December 31st - the day before he can start talking to foreign clubs for free. It’s standard practice. As a side note, this Buckey vs. Mols stuff is verging into trolling territory now, it’s boring for the rest of us and if @K-Hodlets me, I’m going to start treating it as such. But I might just be in a bad mood. -
I was wrong. He’s really good. And a Rover. Still could put on 5-7 pounds of muscle if you ask me. But as we’ve established, I’ve no idea what I’m on about.

I disagree entirely. They’re two different full backs but I’ve just spent 45 minutes watching Nyambe pointing where he wants the ball and not receiving it. He was running into the right spaces but not getting the passes. -

Ayala is our best defender but Wharton has really looked good this season.
