I love Adam as much as anyone but I don't think there's enough evidence to start him in the Euros. He's got 4-months Premier League experience. Southgate will take him to the Euros because he's nailed on to get the United job next and his remit will be young British talent. Thats why he's suddenly ousted all the regular old guard and brought in Wharton, Eze, Braithwaite etc.

Palace got him cheap because many of the top clubs have FFP issues in Jan. Would have got more for him in summer, but also we'd have gone bankrupt!

I recently worked with INEOS and was told by staff how senior management turn up to sites unexpectedly and do walk arounds with sticky labels saying things like "this isn't up to our standards" and "this is not acceptable to our brand" and the site have 28 days to fix it. Wonder how many sticky notes they've leave around Ewood and Brockhall.

Trying this a different way - and I’m not being facetious: 1) Who is in charge of scouting the players? 2) Who decides if we make an offer? 3) Who decides the maximum offer we’re willing to make? 4) Who completes the paperwork and submits it?

I’m not entirely clear what a technical director does. What is this guys role? Is this replacing Silvestre or Broughton!

What does he gain from that? He would have lost 2 years of 8 times his salary. He's already contracted to a top premier league club. He was Plymouth's young POTS (from memory, might be wrong) and will have the opportunity to go to a club at least as good again this year. If he performs well again he will get a loan to a top championship club then an opportunity to either prove himself at Spurs, or get a loan to a bottom third Premier League club. All the while earning 20K a week.

I really hope this is the case, but I would be astonished if it was.
